    Royce gets neutered tomorrow morning.

Little Royce goes in tomorrow to get fixed. I am thrilled I found a nice, clean, low cost clinic who is doing it for only 50 dollars.

Good thoughts please for the little boy to go through his neuter smoothly!

Good luck, baby Royce! You won't even miss those pesky "balls". Stick out tongue Great job on finding a low cost, clean clinic too. Everything will go smooth!

Isn't he awfully young?  He's a large breed no?

    Good thots regardless.

    Thanks guys :)

Unfortunately Glenda he IS really young. I would NOT have him done this early but it isn't my call... it's the call of the shelter he is from. I don't want the wonderful angel of a woman who technically adopted him for us (since we were out of county and he couldn't leave on a neuter contract because of that. A volunteer couldn't believe they'd rather destroy the pup than adopt him out of county, after telling us before the 200 mile drive it was fine, so she "Adopted" him in-county.) to get hit with a 500 dollar fine, and they only gave us until May 12th. He's all of about 12 weeks, and he's a GSD/Rottweiler/? mix. So, no choice, but it's okay. I just want it to go smoothly and for him to bounce right back.

    That's great!! good luck!

Sending good vibes for Royce and for you.  He'll be fine I'm sure but I know that until he's home safe and sound you'll be worried for your little guy.

He is too young, for sure...IMO.  But, the circumstances mean he gets fixed now, and that's OK.  Good luck Royce...you'll be just fine.  Don't worry mama...It'll be over soon and he'll be home before you know it.  Big Smile

    Successful surgery vibes for Royce.

Royce won't have a clue that anything has happened to him.  Baily came out of the clinic ready to go!

Good luck Royce! Bugsy was done at the shelter at 10-12 weeks and his development hasn't been harmed

Coke was done early at the rescue and he is leggy, feminine, never filled out like a male (and often is mistaken for a female) but it doesn't matter, he's a mutt so there's no "standard" to judge him against.  Better early than never, I guess.  My GSDs are both intact and will probably remain that way but I am extremely picky about their hormones, development, and physical maturity.

I think Coke looks all boy, lol. Then again I know intact male GSDs are VERY masculine in appearance, so next to one he may not look so macho (and I'm sure Royce won't next to T-Bone) but that's okay.

I /SWEAR/ I-dog thoughts saved the day. I set the alarm but slept through it, and I wound up being late, but they took Royce back anyway. Thank Goodness I happened to get up anyway, which is strange. We're a late sleepin' crowd here. On a normal day there's no way in heck I would have magically gotten up., I-Dog vibes!!!

Today while we waited Royce got to love on a girl of about 8 or 9 and man he wouldn't stop kissing her and wagging like crazy. I also got to teach her how to pet a dog without reaching over him. Education + Lovin's for Royce = all good.

T-Bone is becoming somewhat hysterical looking for Royce, though. He's crying, running around looking, and keeps getting in my face whining like "MOM! Royce is GONE!" Comforting him til the little guy is home.

Good thoughts for the little guy!

Wanted to say Royce is also almost exactly 23 lbs already! Holy moly! T-Bone is a big boy in the 80's but even he was not this large as a pup. He still has TONS of extra skinfor growin into, lol. Weight predictions?
