DH and I have decided that we are going to do an easter egg hunt with the dogs, except less easter eggs and chocolate and more dog cookies and dog edible food, namely oranges and pineapples - their favourites! hehehe

heheeh - I'm going to be on an Easter hunt of my own on Sunday, I think.  Looks like our Beginner Tracking Clinic is going to be rained out on Saturday, so Sunday is our rain day... YAY! lol  At least I get to spend the day w/my best friend Gracie. :)

    teehee.
It's always slightly strange watching our niece and nephew do the easter egg hunt - they are THE most polite children and share their finds with each other and tell the other where some eggs are, etc. I was the opposite of that as a kid....I pushed and shoved my brother to get to the eggs first - I mean, in the end my parents made us share and I knew that would happen, but it was a sense of childhood accomplishment knowing you kicked butt in the easter egg hunt.

Us too! I was amazed when I saw my cousins after Halloween. They all dumped their pumpkins in ONE huge pile on the floor and shared it all. Surprise My siblings and I would barter and trade. lol
We ended up only getting a dusting from the storm, but it's still snowing.
I'm excited to color Easter eggs with Willa on Saturday!
BOTH kids are not napping today so not much more computer time for me. Crying

You guys are a hoot today!! Thanks for the laughs, I needed that!

So last night we were playing chuck it like usual and DH was throwing for the dogs. Remi somehow managed to block one of the throws...with his face. He got a chuck it ball (rubber) to the face/eye. He started pawing right away at his left eye and so I took him inside. FULL of sand. I rinsed it out a few times with warm water, he was such a good boy and let me do that too. Got most of the sand out and his eye was pretty red. He winced a few times throughout the evening but it never swelled shut or anything. This morning it looked not so red and not as much wincing. I called the vet anyways to see if they thought he should be seen. So he has an appt tomorrow morning to have it dyed and check for any lacerations or ulcers. My poor boy. :( Its MUCH better this afternoon but I dont' want to take any chances with it affecting his vision. So if you could all send some well wishes to Remi that would be awesome! He's getting royal treatment tomorrow....Nallah will have to stay home with Morgan and he'll get to come to work with mom until we leave for his appointment!

Busy day at work again. Not getting a lot accomplished as we are short staffed. I'm out of wine and I WILL be stopping at the store for a bottle tonight....ugh.

I was all excited about a new customer because of their name.  Dog Team Too.  You'd think they had something to do with dogs but I can't find anything about them except their building won all these design awards.   It's a pretty cool looking building but where are the dogs? lol

    Ditto!

Yep, tons of good eye vibes.

Thanks for the link Tina.....odd looking things.

Mom does like Ensure, and Sis has that on her list too.

So, my 3 hours at the office turned into 6.  And I'm back in tomorow to work with a client fixing a rejected return and hopefully get some more of the darned shredding done.

I forget everything else I just read......senior moment I guess....

Good thoughts for Remi's eye!!  Clean and smooth and no scratches vibes from me!

My day has been slower than frozen mollases going up hill in a rainstorm...  At least I have good online reading material, since it would be pretty obvious to sit here flipping through a magazine.

Funny thing happened at work, sorta. I was at my desk and the boss was sewing and the lights started flickering. Weird. Then we hear a Boom. We both go outside and there was a guy at the building next door who was visibly shaking and scratching his head, a lot. We ask whats going on and he said he was turning the power on and got electrocuted. He could've been killed! Funny part was he was driving a van that said: Mobile Electrition and then he says he didn't think it was "hot". Um hello, your an electrician. Wouldn't you check that first? We had a good laugh when we got back inside. Idiot!

ETA: Good vibes for Remi's eye.

sending our best for Remi's eye!!

So for some reason Bugsy has decided that the UPS and FedEx delivery people are evil and scary, shrugs.  We have no idea why.  the one UPS guy is fearless though and walks right past Bugsy who is barking and bouncing.  Tonight I heard him bark and went to the front to see the UPS guy standing just outside the door with the package and the idiot standing on the lawn like, humph why did he go right by me!

Wound up chatting to the UPS guy for about 20 minutes, he said Bugsy doesn't scare him he's too puppy like LOL I was apologizing terribly for behavior I don't like.  Bugsy took the package and was playing with it and then before he left the UPS guy was running around the front lawn with Bugsy doing zoomies. VERY funny and what a nice guy.

Just so you all know - we will not be getting a pup at this time, I am very sad but I have a wonderful dog and companion in Bugsy and I will have to just make do Wink

Silly Bugsy! My brother is a UPS guy and always carries dog biscuits for the dogs on his route. He even has one dog that jumps in the back and wants to go for a ride. Smile

Karen, did you have a talk with DH about a puppy?

Bugsy has tried that in the past if they come up the drive but they tend to park in front of our house end run up to the door (its longer to park in the drive and get to the front door, plus then they have to reverse all they back down the drive) This poor guy was saying how he's been bitten various times, I felt so bad for him and I was amazed at how laid back about it all he was.

yes its been ongoing since the weekend and DH just doesn't feel its the right time and surprisingly to me he feels very strongly about rescue versus a breeder
