Wet Wednesday chat

Morning all. Mother Nature has provided me with another day of rain so I won't be wishing I were outside while I'm at the office! Thotful of her, no?

Mom is doing better, but has no energy and no appetite. And she still has the runs. I have tried and tried to explain the good and bad bacteria in the gut and how antibiotics kill them all and that's WHY she has the runs and that she needs probiotics AND even the doc told her to get some, but she is either not retaining the info or resisting the idea. Finally emailed Sis to ask her to pick some up. VERY frustrating. Sis took her some gatorade and she's actually drinking that, thankfully. Getting dehydrated is NOT an option at 87 and screwing up the electrolyte balance is so not something she can afford to have happen. Last time that happened we almost lost her.

Jean day today at work. I'm cleaning and shredding so don't need to dress for success!

Glenda, I hope your mom will continue to improve. A friend's mom ended up in the hospital a few weeks ago due to dehydration and she developed pneumonia while she was there. She's home now but yep, not something to fool around with.

I've got to do some catching up at work today after being sidelined yesterday. It's a very muggy morning with a high in the 90's and humidity very high too. It feels like July already.

Many strange dreams last night. I can't recall details of most. The strangest was me and my brother trying to catch a coatimundi the size of a GSD. We knew it was a pet because it had a big red tatoo on it's shoulder. Weird. That dream morphed into a dream about my Lab, Magic. I sure miss my sweet girl.

Ah wed! Closer to the weekend!

Lots of rain here. My back yard is pretty flooded. The robins are loving it.

I have another presentation to give today. I'm pretty tired though. Hopefully it will go ok.

I went to the bar last night with a couple of friends. Boy, it doesn't take much booze to get me anymore.

Bugsy is really hassling me for his walk and I am off duty today - he has to wait for DH LOL

Bugsy finished his day by having a puppy play with the cocker spaniel pup next door - so he got to hang with 5 puppies yesterday, too funny. trying to upload pictures but it seems to be hanging

OK off to try and post them and then a long day ahead

Johnny - I gotta go back and see what I missed *hugs*

Glenda - I'm glad your Mom is at least taking what your sis shoves in her hand. Don't I recall she really likes Activa?? Maybe your sister could pick up some of that?

Tina -- you don't look a day older!! (and certainly none the poorer for brownie overload!)

Karen -- tell Bugsy he just has his days mixed up! But playing wif puppies should chill him a bit.

Ruftie - I hope the mammogram sees all but sees nuffin!!!

Jewilee -- so, I guess you can say the rain is "for the birds"?? We had tons of rain last week and now it's right back to dry again.

Jackie -- hope playing "catch-up" goes well -- you didn't even have the day off to compensate for it! Just frustration!

Nothing big going on here -- let's all hang tight when we go rolling over that big BUMP at noon (you know, "hump day"??)

Oh I had some crazy dreams last night too Jackie. One was that there were robbers in my house and were hiding in a refrigerator box (wth lol) when I came home. I gave Neiko his search command, he found them came back and indicated then showed me where the robbers were hiding. Then I called the cops. Somewhere between me calling the cops and them showing up, the dream morphed in to a drug cartel type deal where I was in cahoots with them and hiding illegal aliens in my house. Oh and I spoke spanish too.

LOL, been watching too many Angelina movies lately???lol!

Had some more rowdy storms last night. Hailed and rained like crazy at the office and not a drop of rain 10 miles west from here at home.. These storms came in quick and brought a cold front. If you are in the path....please be safe....they had some tornados from this storm.

Hope everyone is ok today..got lots to do, have a good one!
