Tuesday Mindless Chattering

My day hasn't gotten off to a good start. Left my cell phone at home and it's also my work phone/radio. My work computer is all wonky. Yes, I did remove the Google toolbar and have had no issues afterwards till now. I had to pull the plug on it and it restarted ok so maybe it was a little gremlin that's off to screw with someone else's computer. I need to get in to see my eye specialist and I'm stressed about what he may find. I'm hoping whatever happens with that it doesn't spoil my plan to go visit my friend in TN this weekend. Crying Ok, whine over.

ETA: The other crummy thing is that the eagles in Iowa are covered in snow and the eaglets are all cold and wet. They've gotten too big to fit under the adults. Last time I looked the camera lens was completely covered in snow. I know they'll probably be ok but I've gotten so into watching them that now I'm all worried for the little things.

LOL Bugsy and his harem. We met the two lab pups again and walked with them, then on the way back the goldendoodle pup was in her yard demanding a visit and then a couple of houses from home a woman came down their drive with a 4 mo old shih tzu pup asking if it would be OK to socialize with us. Too funny. He's resting now, its not easy to keep up with all these young chicks Big Smile

eta Courtney thank you for thinking of me, my lungs are better than they were but I've had to get up the last two nights and go to the guest bed to hack away, sigh. But an hour or so of hacking is better than all day and all night

ha ha ha this morning the black lab pup tried to kiss him for the entire first mile or so Embarrassed

We were laughing because her parents are going to a concert tonight so they could have the place to themselves

Sorry you're still coughy :( Are you taking anything good for the cough? Last time I had a sinus infection they gave me cough syrup with codeine, and it was AMAZING for helping me sleep through the night. If you don't have anything, maybe your doc would call some in for you.

OK I'll stop posting in a bit LOL

DH is off to see the dermatologist and worried what the doc is going to say about the gash in his head that should have been stitched - a bit late for that now ha ha

So yesterday i called my mom who is puppy sitting the 6 mo old vizsla to make sure things were going OK and my 71 yr old was outside playing with her chasing around trees, etc. I love my mom Big Smile and can thank her for my never taking life too serious attitude

eta I've tried a bunch of things Courtney nothing has done any good so just dealing with it

Karen, I know you said your doc didn't give you a breathing treatment, but did he at least give you an inhaler for your coughing fits? I had a smidge of bronchitis over the weekend (allergy related) and got the codeine cough syrup and an inhaler. It's the only thing that helps me.

I love your mom, too! I wanna be this kind of older lady.

Jackie, do take care with your eyes. I know you hate to go, but once your eyes are ruined, you can't replace them.

DS actually retrieved 7 potholders and 1 oven mitt yesterday. Now I have no excuse not to cook.

Karen, that's too funny about your mom chasing the pup around! A woman after my own heart. Bugsy is just a chick magnet no doubt about it. What a great dog.

Karen -- feel better. Trust me I know how it is. Bugsy seems to manage all of this with no female jealousy -- talented guy!!

Tina -- a card from his folks? Hmmm sounds like somebuddy gets talked about! LOL

David and I went to a little fundraiser last night and of course the topic went to "what do you do?" and then "where do you work?" -- and the other woman at the table almost choked laughing. Turns out she was the "date" my boss was with the night his best friend introduced him to the woman who is now his wife! LOL (I actually already knew the story from Andy, but I thot it was pretty funny to have "met" her). She also works at another lawfirm and I used to work next door to them. So she & I knew all sorts of the same folks.

I tell ya -- in a city the size of Orlando? (and we were completely on the other side of town from "downtown";) --

I have just GOTTA get over this "shyness" problem I have and meet some people (choke -- watching for the holy thunderbolt for telling a porky like that!) Lightning

That's quite a bit of stuff to be behind a stove. I don't feel so bad now when i clean behind mine and find at least a bowls total of kibble and a bag of dog hair.

Callie....it really is a small world after all isn't it. Sounds like you had a good time though.

It's pouring rain here today and they're calling for the same for the next couple days. :( THAT SUCKS. Would've been nice t oget more yard work done but suppose i'll have to wait now. I got the grass all dug up in the dog pen and waiting to rake it out and plant seed. What a mess i got made...hope it looks good when it's done.

I get to wear casual clothes to work tomorrow, but I have to pay $10. The money is going toward people in a nearby town (Merrill) that was recently hit by a tornado. The company is matching all donations. Plus donating $10 for each patient and parent that wears "crazy" clothes to their appointment. I love this company!

VERY VERY COOL, Jan!! I'm so glad you're happy to be working for such a great company! Good for them for being good-hearted - I love companies like this. It would sway my choice of vendors when I know there are people like this driving the business.

On a sad note, I'm thinking of my dear friends who will be spending their last afternoon w/their girl today....
