Tuesday for the Mindless . . . . .

 Oh that's a pretty color! I never paint my nails or feet though (have I mentioned how ungirly I am?!?) I also bite my nails, so they are always bitten down as short as they can go. I've considered getting a manicure and acrylic nails, but the upkeep on them is a bit much for my tastes. It would be nice to have nails though....

Yesterday was gorgeous and the crazy dog and I very much enjoyed our walk, of which we'll repeat tonight. I think Spring is finally here! Most of the snow is gone too, just a bit remains.

I'm ticked.  Some jack monkey put a 8" piece of black duct tape over part of the passenger side back door opening of my truck (truck is black).  It had to have happened Sunday when I was at the shelter since it wasn't there Saturday and I park in a locked garage.  I went to open the back door this morning (and I hardly ever open that side) and it was stuck.  WTH? Then I saw the tape.  Of course, when I pulled it off, adhesive was left behind.

I don't know that it was any of the employees or other volunteers (there are only a few of us there on Sundays).  There were, however, several college students who came to get their community service hours in, but they are not allowed to do it on Sundays.  Only the other volunteers and employees know whose truck it is.  Who in the heck thinks that's funny?  Freakin morons....

I found out yesterday that one of my classmates had his father pass away very suddenly and unexpectedly this last weekend. We were actually with him when he got the call, but we didn't know why - he simply left, immediately, leaving his things behind. I'm sure he wouldn't mind some good thoughts if y'all have any to spare. He's mid-20's and lives far from home, so I'm sure he must be devastated.

I haven't tried anything yet on the adhesive since I'm at work.  My only concern is damaging the paint on the truck, but will do some reading (thanks for the link, Deb).

Last night Bugsy went snake hunting on an evening stroll, sigh this dog I tell ya.  This morning DH walked him and Bugsy got and ate a chicken bone.  First time he's ever done that.  Just gave him some cotton balls soaked in vanilla almond milk and with a bit of blackberry jam because the almond milk wasn't enough to convince him to eat cotton.  This from a dog who eats pounds of cut grass, mulch, tissues, napkins and of course the fluff from toys

Spoke to Campbell's mom last night - they've doubled his dose for seizures and she is considering the future (putting him to sleep) if this doesn't work.  His whole existence has been tragic and his life will be short. So hard to understand why he's been dealt these cards and of course my poor friend is beside herself.  She has a heart of gold and wanted so much to have a fun active happy dog to enjoy with their daughter.  Sad, sad, sad.

Karen-Nallah has gotten into cooked chicken bones twice in the last few months. Something about them is irresistable I guess. *sigh*

I hope everyone is having a good Tuesday. Its gorgeous out here...supposed to be sunny & 65. Perfect.

We're back to our Summer hours at work, long days ahead of me. We work 7-5 most of the summer and sometimes throw in a Saturday too. Overtime is nice though. Today was our first day of getting up for summer hours and it was rough. Alarm went off at 5. Let the dogs outside and of course the neighbors HAD to be walking by just as I opened the door. THe last month they've been walking by at 6 and today they decide to be an hour early. Go figure. Remi was on leash and Nallah & Morgan barked and took off to the middle of the driveway. Our neighbors wear headlamps & reflective clothing so it looks a little odd to see that coming down the road in pitch black...I called them back....Nallah came back and of course Morgan decided that she had to see what it was. GRRR I'll kick myself for not checking first. But that girl is going to be learning a more solid recall this summer!

DH made bleu cheese burgers for dinner last night....to die for.

It has been a crazy morning here, but we are all looking forward to Maverick  Cash's baby shower this afternoon after work.  Showers are so much more fun when the baby is here cause then you get to play with the baby!

 I'm so tired of coming to this house to do my work. This morning one of their dogs walked into the room I have my computer in and pooped on the floor. Apparently the fat thing can't tell when he has to poop in enough time.  I sooooo want to find my own space away from their dogs, their messy kitchen, their nasty toilet and unkempt backyard. We're talking at least a month's worth of dog poop out there and the grass is almost taller than Kota who is 14" at the shoulder.  ugh.... so stressed and tired and ugh.

But I have some vibes and positive thoughts to send to those that need it on this thread.  :)

Tina, peanut butter (not chunky) or olive oil work well without damaging paint.  Sometimes, a blow dryer on the low setting will help, but that takes FOREVER.

Seedlings are transplanted.  I made a closet out of a space that was basically unused in the bathroom downstairs.....so easy for me to do the outside stuff, but Lordie I hate coming in and vacuming and dusting.

Good thots for Mom please?  She has a UTI, and probably diverticulitus.  She doesn't know that if the TWO oral antibiotics don't kick it by Friday when she goes back to the doc she's going into the hospital for IV antibiotics.  Her doc back when she was so sick has her absolutely terrified of diverticulitus.....everytime she had the least stomach pain he'd put her on antibiotics and push her to have surgery.  he kept pushing and every time she was in the hospital, which was a lot that year, he'd chip away at her.  Yet the doc who DOES those surgeries didn't even want to consider it without a colonoscopy and after that, he saw absolutely no need for surgery.  Sigh.  She doesn't know the possibility of the hospital because the doctor wants her to stay calm and get better without freaking about the what ifs.
