    Thursday chat

The sun is shining again!!  Yahoooooo!  Does wonders for my attitude when I need to put sunglasses on to go outside!  Not terribly warm, but, the sun is shining.  As much of a difference in attitude sunshine makes for me, can only imagine the folks with SAD dealing without it day after day after day after day.......my BIL is one of those, hence the annual winter vacation to Florida.  But, then they have to come BACK to winter.  Think that would be harder for me.

I'm at Wally again today, and tomorrow also.  Got everything organized out there again yesterday.  I need my work area to be tidy and organized, and apparently the other guys don't.  So, I just fixed it.  Taking in a few things today to make it more "user friendly" for me.  I think I'll ask for Wally all next week....that way I don't have to clean up after anyone but me!  LOL.

Have a great day everyone....and don't do anything I wouldn't do, which leaves things pretty darned wide open!

    It's freaking cold

It's 11, feels like 1 here, but, the sun is shining!

In addition to drinking copious amounts of Vodka, I also down quite a few Coke Zeros everyday.  I'm a goner for sure.

It's cold here but not THAT cold.  Sunshine does make everything better. :)

Deb, I'm sure someone else will do a new study that proves a combination of vodka and diet soda adds an extra ten years to your life. lol

Gabby ate a good sized piece of stuffy yesterday afternoon. Sad   I did the hydrogen peroxide twice with no results.  This morning around 3:00 am I hear her urping.  Good girl to barf it up. Big Smile

Deb, the expert doc on ABC World News said not to read too much into that study because it was skewed.  You're good (for now).

Wedding etiquette question: my guy friend's sister's wedding is next weekend.  He is planning on giving them a cash gift.  Since I am his date, do I assume that it is from both of us or do I need to gift separately?  We haven't dated all that long, plus I knew his whole family already (I lived with his aunt for 2 years), so not sure what is appropriate.  Also, the couple already lives together and owns their house, so are established.

I think you're going as his guest, so I don't think you need to give a seperate gift.

I that if you're the and guest, it is assumed the gift is from both of you, or his gift covers you.

Luke is going to the vet this morning, and I actually got brushed him really nicely and cleaned his teeth, like it matters for the vet. Yeah... I am so cool.

Good morning everyone!  It is 16 degrees here and freezing!  You have to remember though, this is TX were we handle extreme heat, not cold!!!  Ended up working from home yesterday because of more ice and snow.  I am glad to be back in the office for sure.

Got some really upsetting news yesterday that my mom's cancer came back, and is in her lymphnodes.  They say it was caught early, and I am sure it was because she has been having scans very regularly since it's only been a year since she finished her treatment.  I am really upset and scared but going to just pray about it.  We have no idea yet how treatable it really is with chemo and what kind of a success rate there is because the Dr wouldn't answer her when she asked him in multiple different ways which is what really scares me.  My mom is ready to fight it so that is good.  I just hate for her to go through chemo again, and this time it is 6-8 months of chemo.  I hate for her to miss out on that many months of joyful things and hope she a few weeks in between each treatment where she feels OK enough to at least leave her bed.  I am starting to feel like I am crumbling with all the stressors in my life right now.  PLease just keep her in your thoughts if you have any spare ones.

OK, off to keep working on taxes!  I am so thankful for my job and my boss who is such a wonderful friend to me!  And thankful for all of you too!

Sarah I am so sorry to read about your Momma. I will be sending all the good vibes I can to you and your family! I'm here if you need to talk too!

The kids are touring the GM plant tonight, Eli will be chattering like a crazy man for weeks afterwards I am completely sure. He LOVES cars and he ADORES watching things be made and HOW it's done so yeah....he is going to be over the moon when I tell him. I didn't already tell him because he cannot wait for things. He needs to either do them NOW, or just not hear about it until it's about to happen. LOL.

Sprinkler guy from the 2nd landscaper company is due here in an hour to scope out the yard and give his estimate to the GC and hopefully we can get the GC's bid soon. I already have the 1st one in!

eta: took me like 80 tries to post this!! grrr

Gina - those plant tours are soo cool...its what made both my dad and I want to be in the auto business.  It's amazing and brings doubts to anyone who thinks making a car is idiot's work.

(((SARAH))))  I am praying for you and your mom too!
