Middle of the week chatting

Julie, Feb 8.  Soon!  I signed up so quick since his next date wasn't for a number of weeks after that.  If I do it, I want it done.  I'm not obsessing over it for months or I'll chicken out.  My latest thought is maybe I didn't give steroid nose sprays a fair enough shot before jumping into surgery... but I *hated* them and the side effects (way worse post nasal drip and sore throats) so maybe that's my answer.  It's a $100 copay for surgery, but I didn't think that was too terrible.  How many days did you take off from work?  I'm going to leave it somewhat open but I ought to give them some sort of estimate.

I've only played with turbotax a couple of times.  I've never paid for it.  I think, though, that you can go through most of the steps, and unless you sbumit through them, it doesn't charge you.  So it might be a good way to double check what I do on my own.  I'm ticked that I can't file for a few more weeks anyway, since I'm one of the ones that the IRS can't process yet.  Not that I have ANY W2s or anything yet anyway

Oh, I don't think I've mentioned it in a while but Sam's toenail is growing back!  Yay!  He had it removed new years eve.... yay e-vet... and finally this past week I've noticed a substantial amount of regrowth.  Few more weeks and his paw won't looked "crooked" anymore :)

Jackie, when did you start going to the gym? 

They told me to plan for a week off work so that's what I took. I was ready to get back to work to tell you the truth because I was tired of laying around the house. I don't think I would have taken less time though. It did take a full 6 days to get the external swelling down enough to show my face :p it took 3 weeks before I could breathe through my nose though. I'm on week 4 and still have pain and other issues but I think my situation is a bit unique. You shouldn't have it half

Rough afternoon for me. I'd watched a mare give birth on Monday to a beautiful filly named Bianca. I'd checked the cam a few times and all seemed to be well, including this afternoon. A few min's of watching and the owner, Steph, and the vet showed up and they proceeded to start an IV on the filly. About 10 min's in to running the IV on her, she collapsed. I watched them do CPR on this tiny filly for 15-20 mins but I could tell it was futile. It was confirmed on FB and Marestare and I'm heartbroken. I haven't cried so hard in ages. Run free Bianca.

Yeah...WTF is up with it lately???  It keeps freezing on me and when it doesn't it won't let me into certain threads!

I'm sorry about Bianca, Cathy.  She was a beautiful adorable girl. 

I woke up this morning and Willow was laying next to me.  She's laying next to me now too.  What is going on?  She's making me feel like there is something wrong with either her or me.

The vet drew blood and will run some tests. As sad as this was, and it ranks up high for me, the outpouring of love and support from people like me who only knew Steph, Mia and Bianca thru the internet, is pretty astounding.
