I did not sleep well last night. I swear Willa was up every hour. And it took me forever to fall back asleep. It seemed like every time I'd start drifting off to sleep, she'd start yelling again. I know part of it was that she was having bad dreams. Once she woke herself up yelling, "I want my mommy!" I'm sure it was daycare shock related. And she was up at 6:45 this morning. Usually she sleeps until about 7:30.

Ugh, sorry for the lack of sleep, Janice.  I was happy to read yesterday that Willa did well with daycare, though.  That had to make you feel good!

Does anyone else think it is crazy that I saw a guy on a motorcycle on my way to work this morning?  It's 30 degrees with snow, ice, and slush everywhere so I'm not sure it's crotch rocket weather.  Maybe I'm just old.

 lol Tina, I can't imagine. Maybe he has some good excuse like he was selling it or something ;p

I fell asleep last night while I was icing my face. In the middle of the night, I woke up to a wet bed and pillow! Apparently, the ice baggy sprung a leak and as it melted it melted all over :( And since I wasn't about to be switching sheets in the middle of the night, I slept in it! I really should have changed the sheets ;p

 Ugh Janice!  Sending some caffeinated vibes so you can make it through the day - Willa I hope your dreams are better tonight big girl!

Courtney thanks for asking about B - basically I had scheduled an appointment with the surgeon for today - but then I didn't see even the slightest indication that he was bothered by anything.  Last Friday I had a long chat with the surgeon and we agreed that despite B's stoic very pain tolerant nature we should see something.  So I am watching him closely and letting him live the way he likes to live = reckless abandon.

The thing I am also looking for is any grumpiness with other dogs as I believe that the reactivity we saw prior to the last surgery was likely due to pain.  We had a test of that today and he's still fine. 

We were walking past a house and a lady was walking down with her rarely seen golden.  The golden was wagging and so was B.  She told me Scooby can be a bit grumpy but I'd love for him to meet your dog.  So they met.  Normal sniffing, B's tail wagging, me watching Scooby who after a minute or so snapped and went for B's neck. Wasn't very aggressive just grumpy, I moved him away and B was still wanting to hang with Scooby and sniff his yard -Scooby wanted no part of it, well actually appeared to want a piece of B.

Anyway that indicated to me that B's temperament is rock solid and what we consider normal for him. So if his knee has a tear it isn't bothering him too much.

From facebook: Sending out strong vibes for Kord who bloated last night or early this morning.  I'll be looking for an update as I haven't seen one yet.

Sweet Mother of doG . . . . . another 8 to 10 inches of snow predicted for tonight.  Plus, I have a ripping sore throat.  Somebody please have mercy on me.

I would have bet money that I posted here earlier.  I must be losing my mind.  I'm worrying about Kord and Dawn's DH but hopefully all will be ok.  Sending tons of good vibes to Kentucky. 

Add me to the sleep deprived list.  Tossed and turned all night and I feel like I'm coming down with another cold.  I didn't eat breakfast and now I'm starving but have nothing here to eat.  Woe is me. lol 

On a positive note, the weather is fantastic.  We had a light frost this morning but the sun is shining and the day promises to be another postcard example of our winter weather. :) 

A friend of mine could use some good vibes. She's dealing with two very sick kitties and she's got some health issue going on too.  When it rains it pours. 

I'm feeling completely mindless and can't remember what else I was going to say.  Hope everyone has a good day and stays safe and warm.

 The little bit of chat I cough I believe the boy's got twisted up in a knot.... Did not explore after that!

Julie - Ugh! That just sounds nasty but you must've been super sleepy to not care.

Jan- sorry about the rough night with no sleep but I too was tickled by the story of Willa's first day at daycare.

I'm so glad that Kord is doing well enough to come home and now I can focus my worries on Dawn's husband. I hope he's doing better today.

We've got fog so thick this morning that driving in was scary. I didn't care how long it took to get here for a change. Just glad I made it in safely and hoping that DH makes it home safely too.

 I got home safely.

I posted last night about needing recommendations for a PhD program. I am anxiously awaiting a reply from someone, anyone, hoping that one person will write back and tell me he or she can write a recommendation. I have four emails out that haven't gotten a response. Now, two I did send out yesterday, and one person did say he would respond (but he said this on Monday). I just need one yes (or I have to think of who else could do this). I am a little less disappointed about not getting the head of my program than I was yesterday. I realized that because I am applying to a program in NJ, one of my many bosses, who is going to write a letter for me, is a particularly good one.
