Bugsy and DH had an intense round of tug or whatever the game the play is called.  They play totally different than B & I!

I had a good chuckle at Ari yesterday afternoon. We haven't done the 3 mile walk on our road since the first snowfall, so it's been awhile. As soon as we went onto the road, her tail started wagging and she turned around and her eyes just said "OMG REALLY? WE'RE GOING FOR A WALK?!!?!" She literally started prancing. Don't get me wrong, she gets exercised in the winter, with trips down the field to run around in the snow, but our daily walks stopped for a few months because I won't walk the road in the winter. It never fails to amaze me how making her happy, makes me feel so darn happy too!

Ari has been asleep on top of me on the couch for the last hour and I really really need to use the bathroom! However, she's so darn cute, I don't want to wake her up!

I have 3 clean and fluffy dogs! The clean part only lasts for about a day, especially in the spring, but its so nice, I just can't get enough of snuggling with their soft clean fur.

The msu dog wash got them good and clean but they don't dry them that well so I spent about an hour blowing their coats out when we got home. I wish I had video because they way they act when that dryer comes out is too funny. First neiko attacks the air coming out of the hose, barking and growling and trying to eat all the air. then lily attacks neiko for acting like a fool, then abbie comes in, ears back with a look like "please blow dry me" at which point they all calm down, line up in a row side by side and wait for their turn in front of the dryer.

Neiko does somersaults moving his body all around so the air pressure hits him all over. Abbie just stands there with a look of pure bliss and lily sits down so I don't blow air up her butt. She likes it on her chest and sides.

Now, you would think with spring here they would all be shedding like mad. Lily's fur is starting to come out in clumps. Neikos is coming loose but not nice and easy like lily. Abbies is holding firm. Hardly loosening up at all, and she has the thickest coat of all 3. Weird.

I just booked my vacation online and when I told Sage about it (I chose the name spontaneous, I came to the conclusion that animals are a lot wiser than men), he barked as if he'd understand everything I was telling him Big Smile

I just catched myself yesterday again talking to him about my day at work and he looked at me so intense as if he wanted to say: "Yeah, just tell me, I am listening". I mean I talk with Sage everyday, but not everyday like he is a person listening. Really, my dog listens to me much better than my lover. The last mentioned is getting penalized by Sage if we argue. That are the times I really think Sage is a sage. He knows when we have a fight - and he goes afterwards for the socks of my significant other. Of course I have to shout at Sage for this behaviour, but he ignores that, knowing that I secretly give him a treat ;) The socks of my lover look afterwards something like this. Next time I have to take a photo from the original!

My lover always says that I am a little bit crazy about the dog, but so what? You ever tried to explain your relationship with your dog to someone who is not so much into all this pet-stuff? Gives me a hard time to do that. Sometimes I show the people these dog poems (or these) - to have a proof that I am not the only one loving her dog as much as any other person, lol. Well but here I am on dog-loving ground and feeling good about it. Lol this was a random post in a random post.

Welcome to the "dog loving ground" :)  Yes this is why we are one big happy family, cause we all understand about the love of our dogs.

lol I understand, I just said to lily last night "I wish you understood and spoke english" she was looking at me so intently and so obviously trying to communicate. It makes you wonder what goes on in their little brains all the time.

seriously Bugsy is the most tolerant dog at times.  We just had the little doxie stay with us over night and she barks and barks and barks - it hurts my ears bark so I cannot imagine how awful it is to him.  She stole his antlers and kong and then growled at him for showing interest in them.  She rucked up his bed, marked all over the yard, and various other not so nice things....................what did he do?  nothing really, he was happy to let her share, they wound up switching antlers from time to time, he brought her other toys, they had a good game of chase, and otherwise he just got on like normal.

    He's a good dog

Bugsy, you are such a good dog to be so tolerant.  I wish more dogs and people shared those traits. :)
