Lily learned today that paybacks are hell :) after sar training today 3 of us took 6 dogs and let them run around a fenced in wooded area on campus. One of the dogs is a little bc jack russell cross who would not stop pesturing lily. She took it in stride though and the worst she did was body slam him when he got too annoying. I just smiled. She needed someone to pester her for a change.

Spirit, my bros corgi, had a grand old time being off leash out in the woods. She does not get to be off leash unless I'm around. Her little legs can't keep up with the big dogs tho so she did her best to run interference when the chase games came her way.

Neiko got to lead all the dogs in a game of chase, which had him beaming. And abbie laid down in a half frozen swamp despite the wind chill being in the teens today.

The weirdest part of the day - we bagged up some deer droppings in order to proof the sar dogs off it. I can't believe I'm admitting to that lol or even did it!

    bwa ha haha

I thought that might make you feel better Big Smile

Bugsy has cold tail or limp tail - and it is what it sounds to be - his tail is lifeless - its humorous in many ways but yesterday and this morning was hurting him badly.  Tonight however it must not feel to bad he was back to trying to steal DH's flip flops off his feet - it is so funny to watch him do that

I love the stink eye we get in the evenings if we're moving around too much and disturb her during her evening nap.

LOL - I know that look well!  If we have friends over and they stay past our normal "bed time", Sadie will give us the stink eye, leave the room and go to her crate (bed) and will proceed to come out and give us the stink eye every 15 minutes or so until our friends leave and we come to bed.

Oh Sharon this is a GREAT game (so says Bugs) - he will play it with whomever will allow it. That night he wound up pulling DH's foot through the bottom of the chair and it was nearly calamitous!  But chair, dog and human are all fine.  Flip flop? well there is always the other pair Wink

LOL if I ever got to meet Bugs, I'd let him. Then again, we notoriously allow Ari to do things that others probably wouldn't in their household - only because we find it incredibly amusing Stick out tongue

I don't sleep well for a number of reasons lately at night, so I decided to take a nap during a lunch break. Ari was on the couch and she didn't get off when I told her (unusual). So, I decided to just squeeze myself in against her, figuring she'd leave. Nope, she just snuggled on in against my back, and put her head on my neck, sighed and went back to sleep. We napped together just like that! She kept me pretty darn warm too boot. She was upset when I left lol, but I did have to get back to work!

Lily grabbed the baggy of deer poop and ran with it, so I got it back and set it on top of my car roof while I unloaded stuff. Then of course I forgot it was there, so somewhere there is a baggy of deer poop along the side of the road.

    ROFL!!

Stacey, I can definitely imagine Sadie doing that :)

For the last week or so, when there has been sunny days I've opted not to go to the gym and just take extra long walks w/ the dogs (I haz Spring Fever and am taking advantage of any almost decent weather I can get)  Co-Co is loving it.  Dusty...not so much.  After a point she'll just stop and stare at me, and I can almost hear her "Ok, I'm done now.  No more good smells.  Carry me" (On the rare occasions the XH used to bike w/ me & Co-Co, he'd bring Dusty and when she'd get tired he had made a sachel to carry her in).  She was sorely disappointed to find that it didn't work like that.

it's horrible. now I need to collect more deer poop. I don't know how I will survive. I can't believe I did it the first time (well actually *i* didn't do the collecting, someone else did, then just handed me the baggy. doubt I will be so lucky a second time). Then there's the question of how do i get the poop out of the baggy and set up in a scenario to train off of? I'm just beside myself. Next it will be roadkill or something similarly crazy.

Sorry Julie but I'm chuckling at your girliness.  Good thing you never decided to get into retriever training.  Maybe once you collect some more deer poop, you could poke some holes in the baggie for training and then put that baggie in another baggie for storage.

LOL, one thing I didnt expect to run into for discussion here was "deer poop" storage :)

Bugsy went for his first proper bike ride since well before knee surgery Big Smile

We'll have to wait and see how he looks getting up later to see how it went - he loved it at the time

    And so did I

Jackie, I know, I'm terrible. This is why I could never have kids or live on a farm. I don't do poop lol. On a happy note, a team mate just collected more deer poop for me! Weeeee!
