    I'm just curious

I'm curious to hear what you guys feed your dogs in regards to dry food. Tell me would ya?

Right now, I have a small bag of Solid Gold Barking At The Moon, for training treats. My dogs eat home cooked.

They've also done well on Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Fish. I've fed, and liked, Solid Gold HundenFlocken, and HundchenFlocken, in the past.

If I get a big dog, and decide to do a kibble breakfast, I'll probably use Innova.

My gosh jennie_c_d, we have alot in common.  I've noticed that in other threads too.

Anyways I am currently feeding Solid Gold Wee Bits mixed with, Timberwolf Bison, Timberwolf Elk, and Eagle Pack Lamb and Oatmeal.

This was my first time trying Timberwolf, I wasn't that impressed.  For some reason it made my dogs teeth extra brown?  Normally I rotate between Solid Gold Wee Bits, Eagle Pack Lamb and Oatmeal, and Merrick Wilderness Blend.  By the way my dog has stool issues with chicken.

For big dogs I also like Innova and Solid Gold Wolf King/Cub, and Eagle Pack Large Breed Natural or Large Breed Holistic.

Okay I'm glad you brought up Innova. I can't find it at any retailer. Is it only avail. on the web?

    Innova regular adult dry.

Most Pet Supplies Plus's carry it.  I bet if you asked a privatly owned pet store or feed store in you area they'd be able to special order it for you.

Holly Moses! I just found Innova on amazon, I had no idea it was so expen$ive!

I would like to feed my guys holistic, but I'm not rich. Is there any brand that offers holistic at a decent price? What price range you ask? Think 24 in college with two dogs that breath kibble.

I generally switch back and forth between Eagle Pkack and Pro Pac, switching to mix things up a bit. Do you think those are decent?

Blue eats Canidae and he also getts RMB's everyonce in a while or every evening depending on meat says.

We have tried Soild Gold and he did well on that. Innova and Evo didn't agree with Blue, but we may try it again.

I feed EP Holistic Sardine and Oatmeal and my three love it. Its $45.00 for a 33lb. bag and it lasts about 4 weeks. Not too expensive since I feed less per day than I did with the dreaded Beneful.

Innova puppy, but it gets supplemented with tripe, raw and canned food.

Eagle Pack is good, but their best formulas are probably more expensive than Innova.  They make a great economical large breed formula called "Natural" ( in the purple and black plain, non flowered bag).  It's not as good as their Holistic formulas, but it's good for the price.
Pro Pac is grain heavy.  Once again Pro Pac makes a holistic that's good, but it's expensive.  You may also want to look into Chicken Soup.  It has alot of the bells and whistles that Innova has, but runs more like 29.99 a 30lb bag.

Also, Sensible Choice and Exclusive are good economical foods.  Sensible Choice can be found in any Pet Co.

Okay just from exploring foods on the net, this bugs me: Why sell LARGE BREED food in tiny bags? It doesn't make any sense.
