It's a beautiful sunny day and that has brightened my spirits. We can get so gray and gloomy here for days on end, so this is a nice change. I think more rain is forecast for the weekend though.

My FIL is taking everyone out to dinner tonight to celebrate Christmas. There'll be 15 of us, so it's going to cost him an arm and a leg but I guess they didn't want to have anything at their house this year.

I'm not sure if I'm going to come in tomorrow or not. Depends on how much I get done today. I'm off all of next week though and sooooooooooo looking forward to a long break.

My hairdresser gave me a bottle of Kahlua yesterday. It's in a pretty bottle but not the kind you buy in the store. Is it possible/easy to make your own Kahlua?

It is!  A friend of mine gave me some home-made Kahlua in a gorgeous bottle a couple of years ago.  It was delish!  Now, don't ask me how she made it...

I AM DONE CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!

I got out earlier than I planned due to Thunder the beagle baying his fool head off in the yard behind the house, then Kord the turkeydog chimed in. I should have seen it coming....my excuse is I was tired.

Kord is hitting the door and I am thinking, boy this boy has to GO!...Nope....in bounds the size I never would have thought possible, the boy was out the door and to the back corner of the property, I thought he had fence fighting in mind..uh uh...nothing so easy for an over tired woman who has had no coffee....

Kord treed a raccoon this morning. He had help, there was no where to go with a baying beagle on one side and a GSD on the other.

Between him and Thunder, the baying beagle, we had a problem that could fight back. I sent Kord back to the house, he went, reluctantly mind you, but he did go and stand in the doorway...then I had to shout to the neighbors to get their dog. By this time the raccoon was not a happy camper and was on their garage roof. The teenage son got a stick, grabbed his dog and we all departed. I went out 30 min later and he was still on their garage.

Good thoughts, hugs and well wishes to those that need them.

A coworker went to the emergency room yesterday, she hit her head on the job (her main job). While there, they found out she has a heart problem. Any good vibes sent her way would be greatly appreciated!!

I'm still reeling from dinner w/my friends.  Exceptionally proud of how one of them has grown into her strength where she won't allow her now-ex-husband to boss her around and manipulate her.  Hoping it inspires the other one who has been completely bullied and driven into the ground with horrific emotional abuse from her husband which has accelerated since the birth of her son.

Good vibes for the coworker and get better vibes for Nigel.

Anywho, Oatmeal raisin cookies, cinnamin rolls, ...what you guys doing to me!!!  I'm struggling to get my a$$ in gear and make cheesecake that I keep putting off!!!  Hmmmm, vodka does sound nice!! how can I work that into the recipe???

OH....Tessy got a present in the mail today (Thanks Ann).  I was telling Ann on FB that she was walking around with a stuffed ducky in her mouth for an hour before she realized it could squeek!  Well all of a sudden the thing squeeked and I thought her eyes were gonna pop outta her head!!!  (Anything that squeeks is the absolute BESTEST toy in the world!)  She's currently sleeping with it next to her side while the others watch for their chance to rip it up (yeah...the hooligans!).  THANKS ANN.

I can't believe how gorgeous it is today. I could learn to love fall/winter if the weather was like this.

 Well I'm at the beginning of planning a cross country/ life change move.  We're looking at Florida.. Alex has "agreed" to go back to school for video game design. I say "agreed" cuz he doesn't want to help with the planning so I say he is. Lol.

It's stormy... But no snow yet dangit!

I'm loosing what's left of my mind.  Again today i spent in the kitchen....old fashioned cinnamon rolls and dinner rolls today.  So, am halfway through the second rising and realize that I don't have any icing.  Hmmm, ok, I'll just make some, I've got cream cheese.  But, oppps, no powered sugar.  Then I remembered from maybe a zillion years ago that if you put regular sugar in the blender you can turn it into powdered sugar.....geeze, mental workout today!!

Judging from the revolution in my gut this morning before 5 AM I am soooo thankful that I didn't eat bean soup Tuesday night before a job interview.......

LOL  You would have made a lasting impression but maybe not the one you wanted. 

No kidding Jackie!!  I made the soup on tuesday and then decided against eating it Tuesday night.  It never causes problems.....until this time so I'm so glad that I didn't make the mistake of eating it!
