    Thursday Chatter

    I'm surprised - it's almost 8am and nobody's started this.

A friend's dog is going in for his first chemotherapy appt today - they learned on Thanksgiving that he has leukemia.  If you're in a giving mood, please keep Fisher in your thoughts if you don't mind.

    Hope everyone enjoys their day!!

Good vibes and such for Fisher, Liesje's uncle, and whoever else needs them.

Cathy, how did your doctor's appointment go the other day?  Hopefully just routine stuff.

Had a weird, hodge-podge dream last night involving various people who've been in my life and all centering at the house I grew up in.

I'd best get to work.  It's the calm before the storm right now.  I'm sure I'll be buried once the mail shows up today.

    Good vibes for Fisher.

I'd rather be home and cuddling with Twister and sipping hot chocolate.  :)  Have a good day everyone.

Good vibes to all who need them, and most especially to Callies friend and her dogs.

Poor DH is in the dog house again over a freaky dream that I had.  We were building a house, awesome house, but when I objected to the kitchen he just told me that the builder didn't know how to do any other type and I'd have to live with it.  The kitchen was 2x24, while ceramic tile on the floors, the counters and backsplash, and just kind of tacked on to the end of another room, wide open.  Other than that, the house was wonderful, but the kitchen, and he just kind of shrugged it off.  This is the man who looks at a house and tells ME that he's afraid the kitchen won't be large enough in real life.  LOL.

This poor man is such a scum here lately in my dreams!  First, he "does the nasty" (and believe me with her it would be nasty) with his ex wife, and now the kitchen.........

I gotta quit dreaming.  I so rarely remember a dream and the ones involving him being a major poop are vivid!  Poor guy.

Good thoughts on their way from here, too!

Glenda, is it possible your DH is kicking you in his sleep or something? I finally figured out that I have the most nightmares about BF being evil when he's doing something actually evil in real life, like stealing the covers or snoring too loud or attempting to sleep-suffocate me with the pillow that MUST be on top of his head while he's sleeping. Just a thought. :-p

The funny thing Courtney, is that this dream I had asleep alone in my recliner!  That's actually what woke me up!  I was so PO'd he's lucky I had to make a bathroom stop or I might have kicked *him* when I got to bed!

DH is very gentle in bed....rather in sleep. Let's not get the gossip mills rolling here! Sad The very worst he ever does is almost like he gets a spasm in his hand and gently squeezes my leg a few times.  And that is a rarity.

    I dunno.....poor guy!

Does anyone have any snore remedies? The SO snores. Loudly *understatement*. He used to use Breathe Right spray, but they've since discontinued it. We DID find it online, but who knows for how long it will be available (I plan on buying him a ton for Xmas lol, more a gift FOR ME). I'm starting to think I'm so tired because it's actually his snoring that is waking me up and/or preventing me from getting into a deep sleep. A couple of nights, I was seriously contemplating smothering him with a pillow. He really doesn't like the nose strips and I find they don't work quite as well. I do try to kick him onto his side when he starts snoring, but he's stubborn and refuses to move or wake up lol.

My dream last night was a perfect recap to the nightmare that was my workday yesterday. In my dream, my clients were all yelling, my bosses were yelling - so I just told them I quit and walked out. After I did that, they kept trying to call me to get me to help them with all my clients and I refused to pick up the phone. I know this week has just been a bad week, and I'm feeling blue lately so less able to handle stress with grace. It'll get better, but this weekend can't come soon enough! I might see about heading out of town for the weekend if a friend is around, or seeing if anyone wants to visit. I need to unwind. Preferably with adult beverages Stick out tongue

Glenda I have no idea why hubby is a jerk in your dreams.  Certainly doesn't seem that way in real life.

Sitting at the car deale service center.  Couple routine maintance things.  Engine light was on too.  Ever heard of an ERG valve ?  "Engine Gas Recirculation"   I sure haven't !  Needed new spark plugs too.  All told $700.  OUCH !    It's @#$%@^ cold in here too.

Sharon, does your SO have sleep apnea?  Blockage could be causing the snoring, too.  My DS snored terribly as a child until his adenoids were removed.

My ex-DH and one ex-BF were smokers and when they quit, the snoring was dramatically reduced.

An odd sleeping w/someone occurrence: the ex-BF mentioned above woke me up one night humping my leg.  He was asleep and had no recollection of doing it.

Best remedy ever  . . . . . . . sleep in the guest room.  Works like a charm !!  I have two snorers - Jamison can bring down the house on some nights !!

Mumsie and Pop are coming over to visit - ever try vacuuming on crutches?  It ain't easy, I tell ya !

Good vibes going out to Fisher.

I found "Jingle Dogs" on the radio on my way in -- so it put ME in a pretty good mood.  I am the QUEEN of all the really silly novelty Christmas songs.  (Hence my muppet post LOL)

But then I started humming "I want a HIppopotamus for Christmas" and NOW that's stuck in my head.  I'm probably the only person around not bothered by that LOL.

Everyone's continued prayer & good thot support for my friend is extremely welcome.  I have to check back to yesterday to find out about Lies's uncle.  And Julie -- I hope you get some relief!!

We're not sure if he has apnea, but it has been considered. He's not a smoker (never has been). Never considered blockage. I should tape record some night just how loud his snoring can get. I wouldn't be surprised if our next door neighbors could hear him.

OMG, what a way to be woken up! I've been rudely awakened when my SO kicked me entirely off the bed. To be fair, it's back before we lived together and he only had a twin or full sized mattress lol.

I'm married to a snorer as well, and he no longer sleeps on his back for just that reason.  He had the sleep test and I don't recall the exact results, but they told him to quit sleeping on his back and it's worked wonderfully.  FTR, he ALWAYS slept on his back prior to that.  I used to gently tug just ONE chest hair and that was enough to shut him up, thankfully!

The lad didn't get back from their coaching trip until 3 am, so I'm glad today is the day I don't go in to work until 1. Took him to work and am heading to slumber again for a bit.

Ginger is slightly quieter during the night with her meds, but her bits still look gross and she still thinks she has to pee all the time. She either squats and does nothing, or pees little dribbles or puddles. Hopefully the antibiotics kick in soon.  I haven't seen her bothering her bits, but she's in an e-collar, just in case.  She looks cute with her little cone head. (we use a soft e-collar, so she's not too tortured)
