Tuesday Chatter

Soooo glad I have Wed and Thurs off. 

We have three stores in town.  The manager of one of them has suddenly taken a leave of absence.  His assistant is floundering a bit.  She is a very capable person but recieved inadequate training in the past few months (she's new).  Now the manager is gone and she needs to catch up fast !  I have become her mentor and will be spending time at that location to ensure things are running smoothly. 

Snow overnight continuing through the day.  That will make the commutes not fun.

Otherwise everything is OK.  Baily ate his way into a bag of water softener salt a couple days ago.   I'm guessing that when he licket the first pellet....he decided it wasn't food after all !  Nut job..............

Today is going to be a long day. I'm in the process of finishing up some boring stuff that feels very un-important which makes it very un-motivating.

I skipped training last night because I twisted my knee sometime over the weekend. So last night I laid around icing it instead. Its feeling much better today.

We are in for a couple days of freezing rain here. Bleh.

 up at 4:30 for a trip to the airport - I've got Bugsy convinced it is a really good thing to have a morning nap.  I fear his energy when he wakes up.  Oh and after not having had hiccups since about 11am Sunday he had them at about 5 this morning

Belle I hope you caught that critter! I had a dream last night that Bugsy & I were with others, in some parking lot at nighttime - he didn't listen to me and went charging off   (just like real life) and caught a ginormous black snake.

Woke up to 51* after two days of 25* - huge storm on the way apparently and back down to the twenties by Thursday.

I need to really get going but feel oh so lazy

There is a CRITTUR on R roof!!  Mom sez it sounds like a "twinkletoes" cos it's runnin back and forth.

Duzn't humans unnerstand that stuff like this NEEDS TA DIE!!!!!!!!!!

Jackie, I hope you enjoy your split pea soup.  Don't send me any - nothing personal, but I can't stand the stuff.  I hate peas but was forced to eat them growing up.  Every Christmas my mom made split pea soup with the ham bone and forced me to eat that, too.  My PSA for today to all parents is this: forcing your children to repeatedly gag down food they despise will not make them like it.

Hoping Sassy and Grab's Ginger are feeling better soon.

I'm a bit north of Julie, so will likely see rain change to snow as the temps drop. I really don't want freezing rain and sleet.

Very sad to hear the updated news this morning about the 3 boys in Morenci, Mich whose father tried to commit suicide.  Reports are saying he may have left them on the side of the road in rural Ohio.  Please doG, keep those boys safe and help them be found soon.

We are in the middle of having our patio replaced. They came in yesterday with a front end loader....last night we had RAIN!!!! My back yard is a mess. It is warm right now, not sure when the temps are due to drop but snow is on the forecast for tomorrow....oh yay! NOT!!!! I am east of Julie, an not sure where Sharismom is. 

I LOVE split pea soup! It isn't the prettiest to look at I agree Julie, but YUM!!!! 

I have not followed the Morenci boys story just heard bits and pieces. I sure hope the father didn't hurt them. That little Florida girl, that was found dead months after disappearing, she too was supposedly with a baby sitter.... So very sad. I really wish, that there could be drop off's for older kids too. Hospitals will take babies no questions asked, there needs to be a way out for parents who don't think they have any options. Too many young children are being murdered. 

DH got the garland up on our house last night. I am going to get more lights today, we need new strings, and a some fake garland for our fence. 

I have to go back to work tomorrow.... I really hope I get sick tonight. I do NOT want to go. Of course I need to call in sick in Dec when I have to take Teddi to MSU for her follow up... better not get sick before that. 

Tink, humans are just painfully oblivious sometimes, aren't they? Poor Rascal gets sooooo upset when I don't "take care of" things like that. Heck, even my "boxer-in-law" (who's pretty darn dumb) gets upset when the phone rings and rings and nobody answers it. It's tough to be a dog and have to look out for your oblivious humans all the time.

OK my beloved DH has somehow changed his spacebar (on his phone) to the letter B.  Does anyone know how to revert it back?

 I haven't heard the update on the little boys. I did call yesterday and offer our dogs but it sounds like they are searching more in OH than MI. I hope that they are found alive, but the way the guy is acting, I highly doubt it. Besides someone would have called and reported seeing 3 young boys standing alongside the road, I bet.

I forgot to mention that Twister is no worse for wear after our trip.  I brought him to work today and he was so happy to see all his friends again, human and dog. :)   Gabby is tormenting him right now and needs to be put in her crate for a little down time.

Someone brought me a piece of pumpkin pie this morning but it wasn't very good. :(   I felt like I had to eat it to spare hurt feelings but what a waste of calories. lol

I want hot chocolate with whipped cream. 

We have a cold front coming is.  It's windy, & miserable.  Where are our 70 degree temps?  I want them back!

Cher is in holy terror mode this morning.  I keep telling her that she had best be really thankful that she's cute.....

Ohhhh, split pea soup sounds heavenly.  Sadly, my DH feels about it like Tina and Julie do.....blechy green mush.  Unless both my sons are home, I don't make it, but then I will and fix old fussy something else.

41 here this morning but raw so it feels much colder.  My system is so easily conned into feeling warmer or colder depending on sun or clouds......

I suppose that I should finish putting stuff on the walls in the "new" office.  What a hassle.  But, we rarely have company, and if ONE person is going to come and lock himself in the room the entire time he's here, other than for meals, well, the heck with it....I'll have access to my closet this way and he can do his thing in the tiny room.  The cats are not pleased that they lost the bed to lay on, but they'll get over it.
