I love split pea soup too - yum!!

I took Sassy to the vet yesterday after work and the concensus at this point is that it is pain-related. The vet tech noticed it first but the vet then noticed it too. Sassy might've sprained her tail. She also showed some signs of pain in her hips and limited range of motion. So, we're going to try Rimadyl for a few days and see if that helps. I gave her one last night and am happy to report that she slept the entire night in her usual spot. I'd have preferred it to be thyroid vs. arthritis but for her age, I should't be surprised. She's on a joint supplement but I have also use Cetyl M for Buffy, so I might start her on that too. Thanks for all the well wishes for her Smile

I have to leave early for my annual female exam today. I'm happy to leave early but not so much about the exam.

I submitted a volunteer app for the Golden Retriever rescue last week and heard from them today. Their orientation is on the 12th, so I'm looking forward to that. The equine rescue is having a Cowboy Christmas celebration this Sat., so I'm going to email them and see if I can help out with that and hope the weather stays decent.

You know  . . . . in my soon to be 49 years, I don't think I've ever had split pea soup.

    That is all.

LOL  You may feel deprived or you may feel lucky.  Don't try it on your birthday because it might not go well with vodka shots. Ick!

I hadn't heard about the 3 little boys.  How tragic but maybe there is a slim chance they will be found safe.

    What's for lunch?  I'm starving.

Lunch was deli turkey, with cheese and mustard on a toasted bagel. yum.

Jackie, here is a link to one article.  http://www.detnews.com/article/20101130/METRO/11300393/Police-not-expecting-‘positive-outcome’-in-missing-boys-search

Lunch was a cheese & lettuce sandwich on oatmeal bread, a small box of raisins, and two small oatmeal cookies.

Lunch was leftover homemade lasagna! Yum. Except I've been eating it since Saturday (and I also had it Monday and Wednesday of last week - different kinds, but still)....so I would be happy to not look at lasagna for about a month or two.

I've also never had split pea soup. I just can't bring myself to try it. It just does not look or smell appetizing to me.

I got my hair cut at lunch and now I can't stop flipping it around. Heh.

Deb, perhaps I can remedy that for you one of these days :)

Glad Sassy seems to be feeling better!! Twister, too!

Oh I know what I was excited about - my collars came from "3 Dirty Dawgs"!!! They look great :) I ordered them like a week ago, I can't believe they arrived that quickly.

    Damned Republicans....(snicker, snort...)

Glad to hear Sassy got some relief last night.  Bummer that they think it's arthritis... I had the same reaction w/Gracie this summer.  They were young, and then suddenly *not*.

I hate when I go down to the cafeteria and end up smelling the food cooking in there.  I *hate* that...  My hair, my clothes, etc.

Jackie I had Progresso Split pea and ham soup for lunch

I have much to do and am very scatter brained - what else is new? LOL

I had a carne guisada taco for lunch with lots of hot, hot sauce.   I'll probably regret that later but it was so good.

Cathy, glad that the Rimadyl helped Sassy.

Courtney, I bet if you tell Deb the pea soup has vodka in it, she'll give it a try. Wink

Tina, I haven't had a cheese and lettuce sandwich in forever. I only like them with very sharp cheddar.  I'll take two of those oatmeal cookies, please. :)

GabbyG needs to go to Amanda's house so she and Cher can be monsters together.  Gabber girl is driving us all crazy today.  Twister asked if he can go back home. lol

The only pea soup Ive had was canned but homemade sounds appealing. I have to agree with everyone else who has rain, It needs to stop!

Going to head out and do a poop pickup in the rain while the boys get muddy, be dry and warm everyone.

Had the weekly doctor's appt. The consensus is that the kid will probably be early, but no clue when.  Very helpfulConfused Now the lad is in panic mode..I keep having to assure him that, no, the kid is not going to fall out this evening. Probably not for a few weeks yet.

Ginger loves her combo of pain meds. She slept most of the night, thank heavens.  Her bloodwork was great aside from her normal thyroid issue. Not bad for a 13 year old girl :)

Had a work meeting...love those meetings on my days off.

I need to work on the Christmas photos, but it's chilly out and I'm horribly unmotivated.
