So you reposted, and if it still didn't work, contacted CL about the glitch....? There's lostdog websites, tried those? If no fat pug is listed, post a found report. Should be a cinch to get her home, she obviously hasn't been lost that long and can't have walked far in that condition...

I put it in CL but I cant see my ad so I assumed it didnt post.

It usually takes 10-15 mintues for your post to show up after you make it. It has taken 30 minutes for mine to show up one time.

If you posted it a while ago and you don't see it, it probably was flagged and removed. What kind of info did you put in the CL post? It might have been taken the wrong way if you worded it badly and got flagged because of it.

I took her to the vet the day she came here to get chipped. They said no one can give rabies unless licensed. They never saw a tag like that.

Are you saying you micro-chipped the dog the very first day she was at your house?  Isn't that somewhat premature?  If she has a rabies tag, of any sort, that's current, then she probably has an owner.  Did you try calling the local police, animal officer, or shelters to see if someone is missing a Pug?  It's not that common for them to wander off and no one is looking for them.  At any rate, if you are serious about not keeping her, then call Pug rescue.

     Curious, why'd you chip her?

Cute. I hope you find her owners. And if not, I would definitely think that there's got to be a pug rescue in Louisville. Good luck.

    What a porker!

I would contact local rescues, as well as low cost spay/neuter clinics.  Here, both of those organizations use tags as you describe.

Link you should probably contact these folks with the tag information I would guess they could help you out...and probably have a list of people looking to adopt if she isn't one of theirs...

Kim, I have search and searched and cannot find your ad, nor can I find any add looking for a lost pug.

That animal is to healthy to have been on the run long, even going back a month there is nothing about a lost pug.

    I find that strange.

You might also check with animal control. Here, your rabies tag number (from the clinic that gave the vax) is on the form that goes in for the license..so in theory it should be put on file.

Perhaps she wandered off from someone visiting for the holidays. Pugs aren't thought of as wanderers generally, but we have had a few brought in to work that have gone quite a distance.  (in all but one case we were able to find the owners. In the last case, an adoptive home was found)

The fact that this one has a tag and collar on makes me think he escaped from someone..generally people dumping their pets remove at least the tag
