Mindless Thursday

Since I've been laid up  . . . . cocktail hour starts around 10 am in the W household, so c'mon over Amanda !!

Tina and Gina  . . . . glad to hear you guys are on the mend.

Well, last night I was put out of my misery and had my pins re-aligned.  I also had my stitches removed.  The doc showed me how to move the pin in case I need to, but it's a two man operation and I'm not sure Mr. W could handle it.  It doesn't really hurt but it's a little skeevy to watch/do.  I guess I could always get Mumsie up  here if needed.  The doc wants the pins to stay in for another 3 weeks Sad.  So I guess I better learn how to knit or something.   The good thing is that Mr. W stayed my prison sentance for about 2 hours after the doc's last night and took me to our local barbeque joint.  I was on a strict two beer limit since I'm still on crutches and as he put it  . . . he doesn't want to deal with a broken hip on top of everything else !!!  Too bad, because you wouldn't believe how many people want to buy you drinks when you walk into a bar on crutches.

Sorry I missed your call Jackie - but it was wonderful to get out of the house even if only for a little while !!

    Ann  . . . . congrats on the new puppy !!!  I can't wait to see pictures !!

Hope everyone has a great day !!

Ann, when will you be back? I think I'm going to the Novi pet expo on Sat. Will you be there this weekend dock diving? I could use some puppy breath!

    I

No we won't make Novi this year. I will be home with Gabby probably late dinner time on Sat if you are still in the area you could stop by.... I wouldn't take her there anyway... too young.

Funny I considered taking Quinn on Sunday and see what she does indoors, but I would rather play with my puppy on Sunday than dock jump.

Glad Lily seems to be figured out.

Things at work are crazy today since we go public again this morning (thank god!!).

Creating a nice rally on the market, so yay for that. Any idea what the new IPO means for folks like me who own a bunch of shares that aren't worth much anymore?

I slept crummy last night too and am really feeling it this morning. I'm taking tomorrow off though, so at least it's nice feeling like this is my Friday. A big storm is coming in tomorrow but I don't care if it snows and I can't leave the house. I'm just glad I don't have to come to work for 3 days.

Ann - I'm so excited for you and can't wait to see tons of pictures of the new pup.

Ann, if I go, I'll give you a ring on Sat to see if you are around. I don't blame you for not going to the dock diving. New puppy and all :)

Sorry it's been fast and furious this morning.  Everbuddy got their breakfast at 4:30 (no I was not entirely conscious) and I had them to the vet on time at 8:30.  Billy's is, as I type, getting a bit of surgery (I posted in Health) -- I will not worry, i will NOT worry ...)

My test is at 3:15 (it's 3:45 but they think I can work in a bit ealier so I can go get Blly at the vet.

    But I'm SO tired....

I have felt like I am on a treadmill all day long people.

I walk the kids to school...came home...2 hours later back down the hill to do Eli's thanksgiving lunch and book fair shopping...back up the hill home...1 1/2 hours later back down the hill with dh to do Lily's thanksgiving lunch and book fair shopping expedition...back up the hill home....on the way back up a call that Eli waited too long to go to the can and peed on his pants so continue up the hill then BACK down with clean clothes and a lecture...then BACK up the hill home. Guess what I get to do in one more hour?? C'mon...GUESS! Tongue Tied

On the upside. My hair is looking fierce and I kinda am just feeling good about myself in general today.

Go back down the hill to school then back home with the kids?

In an hour, I will still be sitting here entering invoices.  I'd like to be walking instead.

I still can't believe Thanksgiving is in one week.  Someone slow the time train down just a bit, m'kay?

It's DENZEL WASHINGTON! Him and some white guy are coming in their train to STOP the UNSTOPPABLE time train!! Course...looks like that might involve a train/train collision..so yeah, um,...well, I gotta go....

    wheee!!

    • Gold Top Dog

    Gina - LOL!

Gimme 10 minutes w/ Denzel, then the time train can resume its normal course.

Gina, did you forget your medication today?

Me, personally, I need some b-itch pills.  I called my mother back to apologize for my lack of filter last night when I explained that I do not have the capacity to worry/gossip/bemoan/analyze someone else's personal situation regarding their finances, eating habits, doctor visit track record, lifestyle choices, etc.  I do not feel like commisserating about how wrong/unhealthy someone else's life is, while on the other side of your mouth you talk about how you need to focus on the positive aspects of life and don't want to invite negativity into your life.  Well, you're marinating yourself in negativity by talking about someone else's problems behind their back.  Leave me out of it, *please*!  Talk to them directly about your concerns, or zip it.  If you want to talk about your own problems to vent/get advice, that's fine.

Ann, hope you get some good rest tonight.  Take extra good care of that fuzzy baby - we have high hopes for you two as a team.

Deb, turning pins.. eek!  Hope you get lots of support and you don't have to do that yourself.

Who wants to cut my hair for me?  I need a new style.  My hair is way too long, sorta wavy, and I don't like to put too much effort beyond wash 'n go styles.

PS- Anybody ever go through the process of converting from T-Mobile to, say, AT&T??  I'm looking at alternative carriers...

    • Gold Top Dog
Paige, I wish I had the guts to say all that to my mom and maybe a few others as well!

I just got my feelings hurt pretty bad and am trying not to let it bother me but it is. I think I need to go for a walk and attempt to get over it.

Gina, is this you today? (Julie, maybe this will cheer you up Smile)
