Deb, you've spoiled the entire book for Tina by telling her the ending was a surprise.  At least with Charles, that's what he would say.  If I even mention any little thing about a book he wants to read, he gets all pissy.

Nah, not spoiled for me.  It's a surprise anyway, right?  Spoiled is my co-worker telling me I should rent "Gran Torino" and then telling me Clint Eastwood's character dies at the end.

DH has been known to spoil an ending for me too but I usually convince myself that he's kidding and feel surprised anyway. He loves to record NASCAR and I've been tempted several times to tell him who I'd heard had won Big Smile

I saw an email that the county and city fire dept's are having a joint Christmas party on the 9th. I was hoping DH was working but he's not and we should probably go. Unfortunately, I have nothing to wear and I don't really feel like buying something for just the 1 night. I'm guessing they party pretty hard because they have rooms blocked at the Marriott next door. It's also on a Thursday night, so I'll need to leave early and take a nap and then take the next day off to recover Wink

Paige, I hope someday to see your word in Webster's.  lol  It's a very useful word and maybe if I repeat it ten times, fast, I'll remember it when I need it.  Or I can just fumble up my version.

Jackie, I've heard that it is acceptable to make up words as we age and that, in fact, it is expected.  Like driving with your left turn signal on all the time.  Stick out tongue

I might have been worried but since I only make right turns, I'm ok.  Wink

somebody you may have heard of did a runner after geese - again- while supposedly doing some retraining to retrieve and ripped all the skin off my hands. Ouch!!

On a bright note driving to the cable company and exchanging modems seems to have fixed my internet problem

    That is all

I know what to get you for Christmas.  Gloves on a lanyard.  Sorry, you know I couldn't resist.  Ouch is right!  That hurts like the dickens.  Glad that your internet is fixed now.  If only dogs were as easy.

My husband gives me a hard time because I'll go a smidge out of my way to approach something with "all right hand turns" -- and my logic says that the time I don't waste WAITING at signals makes up for it. .  ... Who knew I was saving on turn signal lights as well?

I'm scanning lots of old family photos at the moment. My mom is sort of implying that I should go see my grandma before she dies, though I really don't want to do it. I'd rather not though, I'd rather my last memory be something else. Some of these photos I am scanning, especially the really recent stuff, it's hard to look at because she looks like hell for lack of a better word.

We are now the proud owners of guitar hero 5.   Gotta love Craigslist Smile

Cher, I love orange too, but not in tulle.  You shouldn't worry your momma like that!

Jackmonkey, jackmonkey, jackmonkey.  I like it, too!

DH was contacted by a company in the Netherlands, they want to buy a Gigapan photo he took. http://gigapan.org/gigapans/8315/  It's of the Preston Bradley hall in Chicago.  The company wants to make some sort of tile image of it.  It's more for display, but if it sells they would also give him a percentage.  He has no clue how much to ask for the right to use his image.  Any ideas?

I'm sorry you're dealing with this.  I understand not wanting to see her and I think you should do what feels right for you.  ((hugs))

    Good thoughts for Jack!

    YAY for Chloe!

    ((((Jenn))))

    Deb, how is recovery going?

Thanks for the thoughts guys. Cher is doing much better today. She's not totally back to normal yet, but she's working on it. We redid an ultrasound this morning, & she looks normal. She's eating well, & getting perkier. I fully expect her to be normal tomorrow so that I can beat her. Wink

I'm swamped at work. I just can't seem to catch up. I even broke down & brought work home in hopes of getting some things done tonight. I was marginally successful.
