    I got the job! I

    yay!

Congrats, Xebby!  Way to move on up in record time at your new job. :)

Sending good vibes for Cher.  I hope she passes whatever is causing the problem and that she can avoid surgery.

Jennie, I hope you can find out what's bothering your lttle Bean.  Give her some scritches from me.

I didn't get to have the Vet look at Twister.  They were backed up due to some walk in emergencies.  I waited well over an hour for Belle's appointment.  Ginger, Twister's been limping.  He does run full tilt when any fun activity is in the works but that's a dog for ya'. lol  He'll go in on Wednesday if he's not better.  I've checked for thorns and torn nails, etc and can't find anything.

Belle wants you all to know the she loves her vet.  Well, mostly she loves the cheez whiz the vet dispenses. :)   I do have to brag a bit on my girl.  There were two kittens in a crate in the lobby that are looking for homes.  Belle was sniffing them thru the wire crate and they both swatted her gently on the nose.  Her tail wagged even harder.  Belle can be reactive on lead but she was very good while we waited and never did more than show interest in the dogs that were coming and going. In fact, she never broke her down except when she visited with the kittens.

I took Belle by the office before bringing her back home so she could visit with her BF, Ruger.  They were ecstatic to see each other and I'm surprised the office wasn't destroyed.  Ruger tried to hump Belle (he always tries) but she reminded him that she wears the pants in their relationship. :)  I'm at home but heading back to work as soon as I finish my sandwich.

Good girl, Belle!  Jackie, can you soak Twister's foot in some epsom salts?

    Congrats Xebby!  Party!!!

Jen, I hope Bean is okay, too.

Does anyone else like their marshmallows kind of burnt?

Oh yes.  I've been known to stick a marshmallow on the end of a fork and hold it in the flame on the gas stove top.  Then, I slide off the black part, eat it, and put the rest of the marshmallow back in the fire until the whole  thing has been burnt to a crisp. Yum!!

No problems with going off DST here, except that it got dark before I had a chance to scoop the yard so I really need to make sure I do that today.

I cruised through Target this morning in the hopes that there would be a few bags of candy corn maybe marked down to $0.50 a bag but no such luck. Sad Guess I'll have to wait until next October.

Amanda - I hope the ultrasound shows something positive for Cher. Has it been too long for this to be related to the BCP incident?

Jackie - I hope that Twister starts feeling better and doesn't even need to go to the vet. Sounds like a fun place to visit though and yay for Belle being so good.

Xebby - Congratulations on the promotion!!

Eye dr. said the Restasis is definitely working but I didn't need him to tell me. I use eye drops about 1/2 as much as I used to and have much less discomfort at night. I did realize that I can't really drive without my contacts or glasses now. I'd always needed correction mostly for reading but driving there today with no contacts made me realize I now need them for distance too. I only have readers, so I after my annual exam next month, I'll order some bifocals. I was trying on some of the frames while I waited and they have some really cute ones, so at least that's a plus.

Good girl, belle! Also, I hope twisters foot gets better on its own and you can save yourself some money.

Ok I typically hate country music but carrie u has a great voice. I actually enjoy her music! I feel weird admitting that brcause I'm so anti country ;p

Last week I decided that I was no longer going to be a push over at work and I sent some emails to that effect. I expected some retaliation and drama but so far so good. *phew* I was pretty worried. I hate confrontation so that was really hard for me to do.

I'm not a country music lover either but I think of Carrie as more of a crossover and love most of what she does.

Good thoughts for Twister, Bean, Cher and Glenda!

    Congrats to Xebby :)

Who knew eBay was the place to buy sink/shower faucets? They are at least 1/2 the price they are in stores! I have to run the few I like by DH tonight and then I will order them. Awesomeness.

I have eaten about 20 boxes of Popeye cigarettes. I think I have a problem.

I can't "do" burnt marshmellows, I am the one that stands there for twenty minutes getting the perfectly cooked golden brown marshmellow. Thanks for reminding me that I have to have a fire at some point this week Gina, before the snow comes again.

Amanda, I hope Cher's problem just goes sailing on thru without surgery.

Jackie -- I hope Belle and Twister's issues resolve EASILY.

Jen - hope Bean's visit goes well.

    Xebby -- congruatulations!!!  Big Time!!

Just trying to work my way thru Monday without coughing.  blah

Glenda -- hope the shoulder feels better!!

    Way to go Xebby!!  Yahhhhhhooooooo!

Good girl Belle, and good wishes for Cher, Twister and Bean??  What the heck is up with Bean?

I too had a wierd dream last night....I was back in radio sales and trying to claim some accounts I had in newspaper in CA.  Wishful dreaming I guess!

Very difficult to function on vicodin.  Never used to be, but today it certainly is.  IF the shoulder would stay like it is, I  could deal with it, but, gosh, when it does that spasming thing up by my neck it totally freaks me out.....and hurts like hell-o!

When I first got my glasses I got bifocals because pulling the readers off and on 50 times a day got to be a real PITA.  Then, a few years ago I switched to the line free ones because it seemed like there was always either a drop of water (from the dishwasher) or a dog hair on the little ridge.  I really love them.

In good news, Bean's hips, knees, and spine look awesome. Her luxating patella from puppyhood has resolved itself, with age (we haven't sedated her in two years, so nobody's been able to feel it on MuscleBean). Bloodwork should be back later this week.

Bean is an OCD spinner. She also paces, and licks obsessively. She's obsessive about a couple of toys, as well. She is special. She's been limping, lately, and apparently, it's a repetetive motion injury. I have massages and stretches to start with her (didn't want to start anything without knowing that she was sound), and we'll be starting a new training program, aimed more at her issues than at competition. This has been an ongoing issue, and it's to the point, now, where it needs to become our focus.

Wondering what the status is on Cher.

I love me some burnt marshmallows, I don't know why.  I like them golden toated, too, but it's one of the few things on earth I actually will eat when it's burned.

I hope CHer is able to poo out what is stuck in.  Good thoughts to Bean as well!

    Congrats, Xebby!

School done, shampooed the hall, living and school room carpets (yuk, I am always grossed out by the dirt-water in the machine.  Mopped floors, started laundry, did dishes, cleaned up the messy 4 yr old. (who knew paints and water could be such fun?) and scooped poop in the backyard.  Fun fun.

Still have the cough, sudaphed is helping. though I think robutussin may be in order now.

Off to fold laundry! I will keep up with chores today... I will keep up with chores today...

Ugh... I wrote for a good 5-6 hours today. I am maybe half way done my paper. I can see now why when my company requests for these to be done, it is billable for 20 hours. In addition to the 5-6 hours of work today, I have probably done 2-3 of interviewing, and I need another half hour to an hour of that. If I actually had to do some of the things instead of do them hypothetically, that would be another 3-4 hours. This thing is beastly, and I am trying to get it done early. Luke and I are off to walk in this cold, windy, rainy, crappy weather soon.
