    Mindless thought Thursday

Not much excitement here.  There's a chance of rain/snow mix tonight.  I'm not going to complain - we've had great weather most of the summer and all through October.

DS is still job hunting, so any spare vibes to find something would be appreciated.  He's getting pretty depressed.

Still buried in work, so am off to have at it.

Find a job vibes for your son....mine could use a few too.

It's raining here today, but warmer than it has been, which is a nice change.  I need to start the dogs, but am soooo not wanting to go out in the wet.  Not a great nites sleep since I was awake at 1:30, again at 3:45, again at 4:50 when DH left for work, and finally gave up and got up at 6.  But, sure doesn't make for a really good nights sleep.  Poor hubby had to do the morning shift, so if he isn't fussing, I shouldn't either.  He didn't have the option of dozing back off.

Off to get my feet, and the rest of me, wet!  Have a great day everyone!

Job vibes going out to Tina and Glenda's sons.

I got employee of the month for October! It was a huge surprise to me since I have only been working there for such a short time. I get a nice little bonus which I can really use right now. My interview for the higher position also went well. I should know if I got it within the next few days. So far everything is looking good.

hoping Sarah's babay girl is feeling better today. It's very stressful when your kiddos are ill.

Today is my first time home alone since IT occured...and hopefully things will go well. I had a bit of a rough time yesterday going down to get the kids from school with the dh. Hard time breathing and looking around and just being out of the house.

I am hoping this subsides...which I think it will. I spent last night in our own bed instead of on the couch where I had been sleeping sorta. I felt like I could hear things better out there noises and such...but hearing every little thing also made it harder to sleep. I compromised last night by sleeping with the bedroom door open and Cleo free to wander the house, I slept better I think.

Having trouble remembering to eat...so working on that, you know that's unusual for me.

Sully's tail is a bit down again today but since it was up fully, yesterday I am thinking some residual soreness + the cooler weather...but it's definitely better by a lot than it was.

Cleo is in season but hopefully this is the last one...hoping to get her spay done by Christmas.

Thanks again everyone for the words of support these last few days...they've truly helped.

We've got pretty chilly weather this morning but the sun is shining.  They say the winds will be close to 30mph today but right now it's just a little breezy.

I got my Orvis catalog yesterday and there was Shirley on the cover!  I knew Gina had won their cover photo contest but seeing that adorable picture on the cover was just so cool. :)   I feel like I "know" a doggie celeb! lol

I better get busy myself here at work after I round up Gabby from the other room where she's throwing all her toys on the floor and then picking them up and putting them back on the couch and then repeats the process over and over. :)

Gina, you went through a horrible experience and it's not going to go away easily.  Do what you have to do for you....whatever it takes.....to feel safe again and don't worry about how long it might take.  (((hugs)))

    Way to go Xebby!!!!

She sounds like such a character. I could really use that kind of distraction here in my office.

Good vibes for your Tina and Glenda's sons.

Gina - I've never been thru anything quite as bad as what happened to you but I can still completely understand how on edge you must be. It sounds like you're working thru it all really well and with time, it'll get better. Still, it makes me super mad that you've even had to deal with it at all.

DH woke up a little after midnight with a coughing fit and it seemed to go on forever. He always gets up and get a cough drop but it still takes time for it to work. By then I was wide awake and today I feel like I only slept a few hours.

The antlers we ordered arrived yesterday. Sassy is only semi-interested in chewing on it but she carries it around and must have it under her chin when she curls up to go to sleep. She's never been like that with anything else and it's pretty cute.

Hi you guys !!  Just popping in to let you know that the foot surgery went very smoothly.  Walking on crutches sucks though.  Only a little pain, but I have lots of vicodin for that.  Everybody be good and I'll pop back in again soon !!

Raining again today.... my pups are not happy.

Human baby, Bitsey, is sick... same cold the rest of the family has had I hope. Didn't sleep well last night, so Mommy was up with her.... now I'm exhausted. Blah.

hey Deb!  Glad to hear that the surgery went well.  However, just cuz you're an invalid doesn't mean you get to make us be GOOD!!  Perish the thot!

Hi Deb! Glad the surgery went smoothly

Yikes, Gina - I am sending you some serious "safe and calming vibes". I can't even imagine how I would react to something like that. I guess my only advice would be to keep talking to your DH and let him know where/how you are dealing with it all. I imagine it is also pretty traumatizing for him as well.

Deb - I am glad your foot surgery went well! Yay! I know when DH broke his foot and had surgery, it was not a fun process. Keep it elevated! Although you probably know that already, hehe.

Ever since Timmy caught that rabbit in the dog run, he's turned into this little prancey deer. We let him out and he does these for legged leaps through "the meadow" to the end of the run. It is hilarious seeing a rottweiler prance - they aren't exactly elegant, graceful dogs. LOL. I should try to get it on video.

DH and I are going to a concert tonight :) He won free tickets through the local radio station. We are going to see Joel Plaskett, he is a folk singer. We are excited, we don't get to go to concerts very often anymore since we live so far from the city. When we lived in the city we would literally be going to 3-4 concerts a week.

Deb - I'm so glad the surgery went well and you're home recuperating - yay!

    • Gold Top Dog

Gina, sending calm vibes your way :)

Deb, glad the surgery went well!

Slept like crap last night. Have a chest cold and could. not. stop. coughing.  URGH!  SO tired.  Hopefully I will be able to sleep tonight.

Last night DH got the hot tub ready for us to have a glass of wine and relax after the kids went to bed.  Well, Echo has a 'spot' on top of the hot tub (on the cover) she likes to lay up there and survey her neighborhood.  Well, we hear this KERSPLOOSH!!! and in the dog door comes a very wet, very still Echo.   What a surprise that must've been when her solid perch was instead a giant pool of water LOL

Can't wait for the weekend .It's been a long school week, although today is progressing well.   Good thots to all!

OK, can I ask for crossed fingers please?  Finally came up with a clever cover letter for a job that I REALLY want and emailed it off today......
