I have lots of pictures but not the electronic form. I'll upload some tomorrow for sure though. For the mean time, you all will have to be satisfied with my fuzzy cell phone camera pic in my profile. Sorry!
Anywho, Spooky is a 14 year old black labrador retriever. I got him as a throw away from a grocery store parking lot. He was given to me free so when you're a little kid, free is good. Free is so good that I took two puppies. I didn't ponder the fact that I didn't tell my parents at the time that I had two puppies en tow with me. Oh well, thankfully they let me keep them both. [

] So he's traveled with me ever since, most recently to the 50th state. He's getting old and gray (as my profile pic shows) but he's still lively. He's going deaf although sometimes I think he just wants to ignore me on purpose 'cuz he'll always sneak up on me when I least expect it with a dirty slobber for me--which usually ends up on my work slacks... Like I stated before, I'll definitely get some pictures up soon, I just only had my cell phone handy at the time I found this website so I figured I had to put at least one thing up.
What's there to do in Hawaii? Well, other than the beach, which never gets old, there's lots of other outdoorsy type stuff to do. I live on Oahu (The Gathering Place) so there's lots of mountainous terrain in North "the country" to hike, camp, and get lost in. The other major islands are also chock full of the kind of stuff you'll only see in the movies or commercials so its great. I'm getting back into the hiking and climbing slowly as I had an operation a few years ago that made it a bit difficult to do that kinda stuff--that and none of my friends are into the outdoors. My friends have no life... haha. I'd ask if there was someone that wanted a hiking buddy, but apparently there is only one other person from Hawaii on here...
So that's my life in a nutshell. I thought I was supposed to wait for my "POD" day but if you all want to know more, just ask...ya know, I probably told you all more stuff in 2 minutes than most people know that I see in person!
Its a shame there's only one other person on here from Hawaii, even I sorta stumbled upon this forum by accident last week looking for a doggy-related answer to a question I had. Oh well, maybe some more Hawaii people will come eventually... Geez, I feel lonely on my little rock in the ocean! [
