Got Friday on my mind! (-less chatter)

I'm off to work. I have a new client who's a real PITA. She treats me, her nanny, and her house cleaner like crap (but pays really good, lol); she likes to talk down to us, calling us "hired help" to her friends when they're over for lunch. UGH. Her and her husband are beyond loaded, so I don't mind charging her for every. little. thing. No free or reduced favors for her (which I do often for good clients).

Wow. I dropped this client today. Long story short, her dog got out this morning and she casually told me how she didn't care to find him because he'd eventually come home. She didn't call or email or text to tell me, I called her stating her dog was not in the house- she also didn't want to pay for my visit because the dog wasn't there. I cannot deal with irresponsible dog owners, who are cheap. URGH. Waste of time and gas. Hope the dog finds his way home safely.

You have no idea what a biiiiiatch she really is. She has the "Ladies Luncheon" at her house a few times a month and all the Stepford Wives come in their Volvo, BMW, Audi, or Mercedes SUVs that they can't drive (nevermind park). They all are skinny with the same haircuts, same types of clothes, their kids go to the same private academy (which is about $80,000/yr for HIGHSCHOOL). I always feel like I'm stepping into the Twilight Zone going into their- multi million dollar- house. They got a Portie "just like the Obamas"- I should've known better!

My friend is out of surgery - that's about all I know, that it took a little longer than she thought, but it went very well and she's out and awake.  Thanks for the good thoughts, all. :D

That's great news!  I hope she recovers quickly and is walking around soon.

I changed my mind today about putting up Halloween decorations...yes, I will, but I can' t find the few I have.  Must be stuck in the back of the Christmas stuff...   I always do this, so off I go to Pier 1 and find a few more really cute things at 50% off!  My 2 lil granddaughters will love them! And they have some fuzzy spiders to take home with them!

Maybe I need to organize my holiday closet (s) again...

The lawn ornament dogs are usually yellow labs or goldens, but this one is a Portie.

Back to watching the news about these stupid packages from Yemen....

I went with a neighbor to the opening of our new Trader Joe's this a.m. and got a log of chevre (French goat cheese) w/honey.  Yum!!!  And who can leave TJ's without a bottle or two of Two Buck Chuck? I may come to regret having that sore so close. 

Oh Joyce, I read about that cheese in their flyer. Let me know if it's as yummy as it sounds. You managed to leave with only a bottle or 2? Wow!! ;)

I am ready for this day to be over and think I will head home early. Although only a couple of people were off today officially, I always get the impression that I'm the only one who's working on Fridays. Since everyone but me works from home, it's hard to confirm that but I never get any calls or emails on Fridays. Maybe just a coincidence but I doubt it.
