That's some wild weather you guys in the North have been dealing with!  I hope it improves soon.

It's sort of drizzly here today and will  be very warm this afternoon.  A cool front is moving in they say and that will be nice.  Charles brought me to work since my car is still in the shop.   I hate being without my own car.

I've got to get busy too.  I have tons of paperwork and a few phone calls that won't be pleasant. :(   I hope I can keep my cool.

I work with stone cold morons!  Seriously, now I know why GM went bankrupt and why they fired 90% of you idiots!

Tina, yeah it was getting a little dicey yesterday working on the 39th floor...today should be a real treat.  You can actually see the water sloshing around in the toilets.

I got to sleep in !  I have worked the past 6 days....and today all the furry kids and my bladder left me alone and I slept like a baby !

Currently 36 degrees (F) and blowing about 30 MPH.  It has been blowing at least this hard for the past 30 hours.  Yesterday the highest gust was recorded at 60 MPH in the city.  Northern part of MN got snow.  VERY good day to stay in.

We have yet to turn on the furnace.  Our new gas fireplace in the living room is doing just fine.  The polar fleece sheets are nice too  :)

I am actually installing the new bathroom vanity today.  Pics later ...

Today is a blah day.  I have a paper due at 5 pm today that isn't quite finished and I am lacking motivation.

we've had the furnace on for a few weeks, but it hasn't actually kicked on in several days.  It's supposed to be somewhat chilly later in the week so I'll leave it be.

I don't drink coffee, but I need some chocolate or something.

Deb, it's the person in charge of keeping your building at 93 billion degrees.  He's taken a shine to you. :)

    *cackling* you funnay Lisa!

My hubs used to work on the 68th floor of a 70 floor building. I wouldn't even ever go up there...no way!

I am still bummed about being home from NOLA. I bought some Zat Jambalaya and Andouille sausage to help me over this difficult time. It was hat day today at the kids school and neither of them would wear the Jester hat I brought back with me. Buncha' babies. Maybe I'LL wear it when I pick them up...that's an idea.

Sully's stitches look good and he's in good spirits. He is just so handsome...I can't believe how manly he is looking these days.

The World Series starts tonight and I am a basket case of anticipation mixed with anxiety mixed with dread, mixed with elation...in other words..I feel sick.

There are buildings built that are supposed to "sway" so that they can withstand the wind. Crazy. Probably ones like Lisa is where the toilet water sloshes LOL.

he said the elevator ride was 10 minutes bottom to top...RIDICULOUS. I would go ape-dip cray-zay.

Hopefully, it didn't have to stop at each floor on the way up or down!  You'd go out for lunch and never get out of the elevator....

And what if there was a smelly person in there with you?  Peee-yew.

Morning all.  72 degrees here this morning.  Wowza!  It's raining, but of course I didn't realize that until I went out to cut down the front gardens.....just slapped my rain hat on and did it anyway.  This is really a beautiful property with lots of landscaping, but maintaining it takes energy.  Bit the bullet today and just got to some of it.

Still feeling a bit under the weather....not bad, but not good.  I hate that in between blech feeling.

I've got windows open and it's still pretty darned warm in here.  Furnace???  LOL!  Our house has 3 different heat zones.  We keep the thermostat in the master bedroom at 65 since those rooms tend to be a bit chilly since they are closed to keep four footed friends out, the one out here was turned on once to take the chill off, and the lower level I don't believe has ever been used.  Caught DS with a space heater and explained to him that NO, I have no intention of paying to heat with a space heater and that he has his very own heat zone and he needs to use it.  Waaaah, takes too long to get the chill off....well, then how about leave it set someplace??  That would make sense.  Mostly, we use the wood stove as needed and boy does THAT heat things up in a hurry!

I suppose I should probably do some cleaning up around this joint....really, really don't want to......

I think it's colder in my office today than it is outside. I am pretty cold and wishing I had one of those snuggies! Or at least a blanket. I'm going to have to bring in a portable heater I guess.

There's a porta potty right outside my window. That's....interesting.

Oh, you want to talk about idiots Lisa? The state is full of them. guess what they are installing in the capitol complex common area? HEATED SIDEWALKS.

    HEATED SIDEWALKS!!!!

Yep, that makes so much sense right now.
