Hey, Karen... I heard Muddy Paws will be at All Pet Festival at ADG this weekend.  Are you going with your crew?

Yayyyy!!!  Sis got her cast off today.  Still has to wear the sling for two more weeks and has the restrictions still, but at least now she can shower instead of bathe, and shave her pits!

Improvement on the shoulder.  Only had 30 minutes of screaming spasms after the latest woodlock treatment.  AND, I think the shoulder slipped back into place.  Really hurts in the joint now, so I'm thinking maybe it's relocated again.  I am NOT old enough to be falling apart yet!

re cat bites: I got bit last week, nasty, deep, hurt, swelling, the whole nine yards. They are not to be messed around with, or ignored. I drove myself to the ER for some antibiotics (all walk in clinics were closed). Mine is just about healed up (was last Tuesday) will scar, but I'm not worried about that. My coworker got bit Saturday, she did not go to the Dr. and her's is still swollen, *** and looks infected to me. There's a lot of bacteria in cats mouths, I hope you can get your son at least some antibiotics! They can turn even more ugly, quickly!

I think I've made up my mind about one of my jobs. Now... I just need the guts to follow through with my decision. this is not going to be easy... but I know it's what needs to be done.

Yay!  Just found out that Becca (brookcove) is moving to a place less than 20 minutes from me!  And only about 10 minutes from one of my favorite hiking places. Big Smile  Totally awesome!

Taxidermy mounts. :)  A friend brought them by the office.  The dogs were quite entranced.  Twister wanted to destuff the badger and Gabby wanted to make friends with both of them.

Erin, that's cool about Becca moving so close to you.  I knew she was moving but didn't realize you would be so close. :)

It should still have a while, but I was always intrigued by the freezer on bottom ones.  I feel like I would end up crawing around on the floor a lot!

I have a freezer on the bottom fridge and I hate it, for just the reason you mentioned.  I can't find anything in there.  As soon as this fridge meets its demise, I'm either going back to a side by side or at least a top freezer where you can see what's in there.

OK, I must be wierder than I thot I was.  I can tell you specifically what's in my fridge freezer at any given time, and generally what's in my chest freezer.

Good news that I wanted to share but forgot earlier:  the two older goldens and their houndy mix "sibling" that came to the shelter a couple of weeks ago because the owner was moving were taken back home by the owner.  Apparently his family was a wreck and cried all weekend, so instead of moving to take the better-paying job, he decided it would be best to stay put so they could keep their whole family intact.  I'm so happy for this good ending!

That is great news Tina and it restores some of my faith in humanity. Yay for that family!!!

I feel like I barely stayed ahead of the piles of work today and I have an all day meeting tomorrow. I probably should stay late to get caught up but I don't have much energy or brain cells left, so it'll all have to wait.

Our two candidates for Gov. debated last night and I'm even more worried about our future now than I was before. Ay yay yay Sad

DS's arm was more swollen when I got home from work. Just got back from Urgent Care, was $100 for that.  So far the generic Augmentin is $69.99 at Walgreen's.  Other pharmacies are closed, but the doctor gave DS an antibiotic shot to get him started.  Ugh.

I've had a long day, & I misread "badger" as "beaver" and my mind headed south.  So glad that I re-read before commenting.

I went to the zoo today between meetings.  It was so nice.  The weather was perfect, & it was fun to be there alone.  I could do things at my own pace, & I didn't feel like I had to entertain the person that I was with.  I tend to be the entertainment when I'm in a group, & I miss things because of this.  Today, wasn't like that.  I saw things that I've never seen before.

Tina, that's ridiculous - $70 for a generic? Arrrrrgh. Highway robbery!!!

I took an abx for a dog bite and I remember it was crazy expensive even for the generic, too. Can he wait until the AM and take it somewhere else? Wally world is mega cheaper, at least here. I wish these things were regulated. I remember before Wally put BC on their generic list, I was paying $50 a month.

I have 69 minutes to write a one page, double spaced reflection, but I'm on idog instead. Good thing I'm a quick reflector because I still have to go check FB!

Cat bites are nasty. I'd check, though, with Walmart as some meds are cheaper there.  I had a nasty intestinal issue with Augmentin once, though, (for a cat bite as well) and I will forevermore choose an infection over taking it. I simply refuse. My body hates antibiotics in general, though.

I do think it's kind of amusing that he was bitten and called his mom, thoughStick out tongue
