Oh goodie!! I love getting surprises in the mail and it soooo rarely happens. This one is sort of a surprise since I don't know what varieties I'm getting!!
I have figured out that before the woodlock is applied and massaged in, there is screaming, cursing and carrying on in the shoulder, along with spasms, then once it is applied and massaged in, I've got about another hour of agoney before things settle down. As long as I don't make any sudden moves, I can stay at about an 8 pain wise. Much more doable!
The lortab absolutely ravaged my gut. Oye!! So today I'm using a combo of anti-inflammatory, pain med that is not a narcotic along with advil. So far so good. Lortab, vicodin.....any drug like that makes me hyper as heck which isn't so great when you are hurting...... Sooooo, now that I don't feel like I'm having the final stages of labor contractions in my shoulder, I think I might live. At some point, I know I'll have to have a shoulder replacement done, but I'd rather hold off as long as possible. They are only good for 10-15 years, can only be done 3 times, and doing the math, I'd much rather be in pain now than when I'm old and might not be able to deal with it as well. Although, gosh, this time I didn't deal very well. The whimpering and whining really ticks me off at myself.
Good luck with those toes! I think I'd rather deal with what I have the last day or so than have someone mess with my feet! Ouch!
Sarah, so glad that there is a light at the end of the tunnel (that ISN'T the train)!
