I'm so fortunate to have a high tolerance for pain. Something can hurt me like it hurts anyone else but I can put up with forever. I cut the tip of my middle finger on my right hand with my utility knife this morning. So, I just put some white electrical tape (we use different color tape for "phasing" wires for what they are intended to do. White is for neutral wire, the return leg of a circuit.) The adhesive in electrical will close most cuts within a few minutes. And kept on working. Last week, I managed to hammer the tip of my thumb on that same hand have a blood blister to show for it. I said a few choice words (the kind you don't hear in church) and kept working. Probably the nicest phrase would refer to the male puppy from a female dog.
Catching up on bills. My home phone/internet was past due and they cut me off overnight. This morning, I couldn't get access to the payment system. So, I waited until getting out of work at 3:30 and paid it over my cell phone. Then, when I got home, I had to re-boot the DSL modem just so that I could get here and tell ya'll all about it. Paid off a 400 dollar overdue bill on the elelctric and still have about another 200 dollars currently due.
But I roasted a wonderful chicken last night. Favorite old recipe I have been doing for years. Get a roasting bag. Get some baby carrots, put them in. New potatos, cut in half. Half a large onion, chopped large. 4 cloves of garlic, chopped fine. Sliced mushrooms. Mr's Dash chicken seasoning, under the skin and in the cavity. In the past, I have used herb de provence and a slight dusting of cajun seasoning. Lightly cooked the innards and gave those to Shadow. And you can either use cooking wine or you can use real wine, suggested is sauvignon blanc. Or, you can use some water, or whatever liquid you like. Seal the bag with the plastic tie and cut three slits in the top. 350 F for 1.5 hours.
Weekend before this last one, I played a game of golf with my current supervisor. Par 72 course. I shot 133. It was my first game, ever. Then someone told me 72 was par for the whole course, not each 9 holes.
