I think it's Tuesday Mindless Chatter

I'm back with 242 new mail messages.

    That is all.

Hey Deb, welcome back! Let me just send you a welcome email... :-p

I set off the smoke alarm this morning while cooking dinner (to go in the slow cooker). 8:00 am and the darn thing starts blaring. Fortunately it has a "mute" button, but my poor neighbor - I'm sure I woke him up. Oh well, at least he's retired - he can nap if he wants to! (I can't even offer to share the cause of the commotion, because it's beef stew and he's vegetarian!)

Can I go home? I have only been at work since 7:30AM and I have had enough.... I really need a new job. I hate getting up in the AM to come to this one now.

Quinn was really good in agility class last night. She will graduate after this session ends (next week) from puppy class to the next level. We still need to keep the jumps low for a little while but she needs more challenges and so does her handler (DH).

Hoping I get pictures of my new puppy. However if you want to see her.... She does 'not' have the white on her head.

Oh hello Ann's puppy Big Smile

Please send me "be focused" vibes or whack me with the 2x4 from time to time.  I really need to get a bunch done - but I love the smells of Fall and it's gorgeous again and I don't want to be inside stuck at the computer

I am also done with DH working these long hours - fortunately for us today is the last day of them!!  Woohoo!

I saw a recipe for lamb chops the other day and am going to make them tomorrow - hope it works out LOL

Bought a new cordless dremel last week to do B's nails and yesterday on its third use the battery started to die on the third foot - I had fully charged it prior to starting.  I think I just need to go more powerful but I worry about it getting too warm.  But clearly this one isn't up to the task.

    Courtney oops!

Well clearly I'm putting off getting down to business so I had best move on.

Welcome back Deb!  How was the trip?

I get my new crown tomorrow - yay, no more temporary to try not to break off!

Not much else except I feel bloated and tired today.  Love my Aunt...

Just ran up to Einsteins here at work (we have one right inside the hospital) and planned to get a pumpkin muffin and a tea, but as I got to the window one of the girls delivered my mocha. Big Smile Mocha's are my drink of choice but tea is cheaper and less calories. So that kind of made me feel special.

I am at the fm this morning with a friend for whom I waited to show up because she was late. She crapper out on the elliptical after about 6 minutes. Ummm no I am finishing the 30 I intended to do. She apparently thinks it is supposed to be easy. I really need a better workout buddy.

Karen what kind dremel did you get? (I forgot to ask on my last post) I want to get one. We saw one at Lowe's that was 7.2 something or other. A friend has a "mighty mite" and LOVES it but I can not find where to get one except at somewhere like Amazon, and I don't typically shop off there.

Ann I have a "minimite" from Walmart - its only $20 and should be awesome for most dogs - his nails are large and ridiculously hard.  I thought the old one has just lost its ability to hold a charge - apparently not.  I'm likely going to move to the next one up (7.2) and see how that one does.Similar to this one

    OK back to writing..............

I think I have the minimite too. Some $20 dremel from Walmart - works fine for me! I like that it's fairly quiet.

Ann, I didn't say the other day, but I'm so happy for you and your dogs doing so well. It's really wonderful to hear the updates :)

I've been really tired and low-energy since I moved here - about a month and a half now. Think I should go to the health center here and just tell them I'm super tired and want to be checked out? (Will they laugh at me?) Or should I just chalk it up to the stress of starting school and try to eat well and exercise more? I've already had mono, so at least I know it's not that! :-p

I used to work in the health center on campus, and it's common as people adjust back into the semesters and such -- and they definitely will not laugh!  Unless they are poopy-head doctors.  It's never a bad thing to eat well and exercise, but it can't hurt to go.  Usually the visits are totally free since you probably pay a health fee. Sorry you aren't feeling well.

Courtney, I don't think you'd be laughed at.  It's been going on for a while - I'd get checked.  Exercising and eating better should make you feel more energetic, not less.

Yesterday I posted that my friend and I watched a couple of chick flicks over the weekend when I was at his place.  Actually we watched 3 - one of which was Titantic (I'd forgotten about this one).  Jackie, I think you're right - we need to get together and maybe go to Home Depot while our men stay home and bond over mushy stories. Stick out tongue

We have the 7.2 Dremmel.  I can dremmel all 8 dog's nails on one charge.  You might look at it, Karen.

    Courtney, go to the doctor!

I had a dream last night that Bugsy, & Bugsy's gsp brother were here visiting.  Karen, they even brought you along!  It was very busy dream, to say the least.

The neighbor & I were talking this morning while her boy was playing with our guys.  She was amazed at how much better her dog acts since she started exercising him.  He's still a work in progress, but she can finally see that, with work, he's going to be a great dog.

Please Vote.  We've been in second for the last couple days and can't seem to climb back up.  Its really easy, and you don't even have to confirm your email if you haven't signed up yet.  All they ask you for is your name, email address and a password.  After that, you only have to sign in and vote each day.  I'm voting from 5 different addresses and it took me all of 6 minutes today.  Please vote.  This would mean so much.

Julie, I hope you start to feel better soon.

I have a cordless, lithium dremel, something or other, and a corded one.  I bought the cordless for the convenience of not having to sit by a plug in, or deal with a cord, but its so gutless compared to the corded one, I never use it.  I've never had the corded one get too hot, but then neither of my dogs will let me keep it on their nail for more than a couple seconds at a time anyway.  And I try to keep to the 3 second rule anyway.

Belle's nails are hard too. BIG AND BLACK!!! Teddi is easy to trim and actually once we get Quinn still she is not bad. Wiggle worm. I want the dremel hoping I can work them down shorter. Not conformation show dog short but a lot shorter than Belle's have gotten. I do have the vet do them twice a year now. Let them be the meanie's if they get quicked. I am NO where around. I like that. I do nails regularly, but I worry about how close I can actually go....

Will tell hubby about the 7.2...

About chick flicks. I enjoy them from time to time, but only the FUNNY ones. Has anyone here seen "The Sweetest Thing" with Cameron Diaz, and Christina Applegate? OMG it is hilarious! Even my husband was cracking up.
