I would love to see a shih-pit mix!  A neighbor has a pit/dachshund mix and looks like a giant black and white dachsie but is about 12" tall LOL. 

Finished school today, time to chill out and have some lunch. Had a meeting with Noah's "teacher" who basically oversees our completion of work. She is thrilled with his progress so far.  As am I. He's a little workhorse most days!

The weather is dry and trying to be sunny.  Fog keeps rolling through and cooling it down.  I think I've gotten accustomed finally to the fog/cold and been taking vitamin D to compensate for the lack of sun around here.

I'm in my friend's house sitting around waiting for my TA to get on Skype so I can connect to my class. My friend's house is so damn hot, and it's not hot out. I'm glad they can't see much more than my face on the webcam, so I don't need pants on to go to class. Don't worry people, even if they did see me, I've go boxer briefs, so all is good. I've just gotta remember to put the pants back on before my friend comes back from her class.

I like Jackmonkey better than Jackdonkey.  It's got flair!  I'm stealing it, Joyce. lol  I lose my car magnets when I forget to take them off before I go thru the automated car wash (yes, lazy me). 

I got a ton of work done today and tomorrow should be all downhill for me at the office. 

 On a sad note, my friends mother's older dog is being euthed today.  Probably right about now.  Her name is Daisy and a cuter little dog I never met.  She was abandoned at a vet clinic and has been loved for 14 years by my friend's family and by me.  She's a mixed breed brindle about 10" tall and she loved to twirl and do tricks and snuggle with her human Dad.  When people saw her they always asked what breed she was. The answer always brought a puzzled look. They called her a French circus dog. lol  I don't know why they started calling her this but we all loved to see the looks the answer brought.   Run free, Daisy.  See you at the bridge, sweet girl.

OK, so.....getting drenched to the skin TWICE must have left my brain somewhat waterlogged since I ended up assembling SEVEN lasagna's for the freezer.  Did a huge pot a sauce yesterday and for some silly reason was going to freeze it....however, I then remembered that the 13th is DH's b'day, and I've gotta do lasagna for that, and I always do several for the freezer, so just did it today.  Now until they get frozen and I can do some shfting around in the freezer I don't think I could put so much as a toothpick in there.......

Yech.  Now I need to clean up the darned kitchen.

Paige, this has nothing to do with any post today, but I have been meaning to give you props for what a thoughtful person you are. You always have something nice to say to everyone and I appreciate that!

Ok sentimental stuff aside: wohooo! Someone who I despise at work is GONE! It was touch and go for a few days but today was his last day. So long j.a.

I am still sick. Why am I not getting any better? Today I got a lot of comments like " how are you feeling?" "You sound really bad" "you shouldn't be running around, you need rest" these were from several different people. I have no choice but to work though. If I don't work I don't get paid so, I have to suck it up.....My ears are STILL plugged and I'm half deaf. I should prob try to get back in to the docs.

A friend of mine is living in germany right now with her husband (for work). Well she is not doing well after having back surgery (is in a wheel chair) and wants someone to come over and help her woth the house and her kid, etc. For a few weeks. If I had any vacation time (and if I weren't sick) I'd totally go. I suggested my sister instead. I hope it works out. It would be good for both of them.

I am so loving this weather.  Warm, but not hot, with a nice breeze.  Windows are open, and I am busting out my fall recipes.  Woot!!

Julie, please go back to the doctor!  Don't make me come up there......I understand about having to work but you know that if you collapse, you won't be able to work.  Get thee to the doctor!  I'm sorry about your friend in Germany.  It's so hard to be far away and feel so helpless.  Hope your sister can go.

Yay, we got the title to Charles' truck today from the bank!  Paid that sucker off. I had been meaning to look and see when it would be paid off but then it slipped my mind.  What a nice surprise.  Now I can start thinking about my next vehicle.  hmmmm  I'll probably wait until this one is on it's last leg.  Right now it's still fine despite showing it's age a bit. lol  Sounds like me. 

I was watching the news just now and the rain on the east coast is unreal.  Stay safe you guys.  Crazy, crazy weather year!  

Not feeling much like fixing dinner.  A night of grazing is in order. 

RIP, Tony Curtis.  What an actor he was.

Yay for paying off Charles' truck!

I've been busy at work so even though I checked in all day, I forgot a lot already.  Sigh.  getting old!

#*%&*#&#^$$!#$%^*$ stink bugs!  How I hate thee.  The rain has kept them at bay a bit the past few days but sheesh.  I had never heard of them until last year, but they're these stupid little flying beetle-like things that came 'accidently' from Asia a few years back, to PA.  They have no predators so they just grow out of control.  They aren't dangerous, don't bite, whatever but they are the most annoying creatures ever.  And if you squish them, they stink so you can't even get any satisfaction from it.

Time for ice cream.

Stink bugs, ugh. Yeah we have them here too. They aren't too bad though thankfully.

The temps keep rising here.  We've only had scattered rain after the deluge this morning but the wind has really picked up and I expect we'll be getting more rain shortly.  Hip waders may be needed by morning.....

 Haven't had time to read the thread yet.  I will in a bit.

There is going to be a cleansing ceremony for Kingcome this weekend.  There is still water up there, though its going down.  The houses are badly damaged and will take months of work before they can be lived in again I think.  Its so sad.

I like "jackmonkey." I use "motor scooter" frequently as a replacement for mother cooker. It works.

Our houseguest is now enrolled in school. He seems genuinely happy to be in school.

We had chicken parm for dinner. The kid was so excited for "real food" for two days in a row.
