    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING BASED ON CURRENT FORECASTS.

    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 35 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION.

Should be an interesting ride home.

Deb, same thing here. This is great because my agenda today mostly involves running in and out of stores doing errands. I'm wearing a white tshirt right now, I'm thinking I either need to change or put a shirt on under this.

Definitely not a white tee shirt day>

Aside from the free part, does anyone else question the mix?  How does that happen?  Oh, I forgot, I live in redneck-ville.  Angry

somebuddy got on a chair -- or at least an old Sear's Catalogue!

Minor victory with the car -- my little polite hissy fit resulted in a conversation not only with the Service Manager but the **General** Manger of the dealership -- they truly DID endeavor to find the electrical problem as a result (the service mgr had a lightbulb moment because he DID actually **listen** to what I said about what happened in which order and YES it made a difference!!).  But that was a far cry from 11:00 a.m. call with service advisor when I couldn't quite get it thru his head there were TWO doors involved!! Duh!!

It's an electrical problem so either it will fail eventually or it won't.  *sigh*  But at least I got their attention!

Ok -- the lakes are high enough and my side door is danged near swelled shut.  Time for a nice pretty October in Floor-daa!!

so I did opt out of one exercise (teaching a "motivational collar pop";) and she had no issue with that! Smile

lol - reminds me of the thing Celeste Meade does where she bounces the dog forward with the motivational collar "correction".  I guess Border Collies "like" this?  I don't know.

Gracie is spending a lot of time snoozing, but I don't think the Benadryl is having enough effect.  Going to take some Callie advice... and also chat w/the vet.  *sigh*

We were supposed to go to the Fair today, but it's so rainy as to be ridiculous.  Friends can't go the days I can go, so it looks like the tradition remains broken, and I'll go w/different friend on Sunday.  I'm just looking forward to horse pulls.

Jan, if you smell as bad as Bevo, I feel terribly sorry for Rupert, your DH & the girls!

Stress and lack of proper sleep is overcoming the benefits of caffeine. Blah. Would extra vitamins help with my energy level?? I already take a daily multi vitamin.

    No!  Get some sleep!!!!

I have already used the 2x4 this morning.  I went over budget last month at work, & I was trying to figure out how it happened.  In the past, almost 3 years, I have never went over budget.  (Going over cuts into my end of year bonus!)  As I was scouring over my expense report, I found $1826 in mileage charges, & gas charges that weren't mine.  (I use a company vehicle, so I NEVER bill for mileage, & I knew which gas reciepts were mine.)  I ended up having to have paperwork pulled, & found out that it was someone else, not on my budget, who submitted the claims.  He filled out the reimbursement form, he knowingly wrote down that it was to come out of my department.  He & I "discussed" it & he assured me that it was an accident.  I've already submitted corrections, & sent an email to my boss about the issue.  As soon as the corrections are made, I will be back under budget.

I hope the rain stops for you East Coast peeps and others with all that rain.

I'll keep my mouth shut about our weather.......

I really don't understand people. I mean, really, sometimes I can't figure out what they are trying to say! For instance, I just got this email from someone REPLYING to a previous email I sent them. Their email said "I'm not getting the email. Please send it to XXX@XX.COM. Umm, how are you not getting the email you are sending the reply from? Am I missing something here?

This rain blows. No long walk with Ari tonight. She'd happily walk in the rain. She loves water in all forms, EXCEPT bathwater lol. She loves the rain. Her human, however, prefers to stay as dry as possible and doesn't own any rain gear.

Oh yes.  We have flash flood watches, high wind warnings (up to 50MPH) and torrential rain advisories.  Yippeee skippy!

DH got to go up on the roof with the engineer to try to re-aim a 300 lb satelite dish, so off to take him some dry clothing.

Welcome back to New England Glenda! This weekend is looking nice... good time to go apple picking.

I can't believe some of you guys are expecting snow already!  It was 100 here yesterday, but it seems cooler today and hopefully this is a short-lived heat wave cuz I'm getting my pumpkins out over the weeking.

Is anyone watching that show "The Event?"  I think it's another one like Lost in that nobody knows what the hell-o is going on ... or maybe it's just me.

Someone told me that if I take one of my car magnets down to Kinko's they can scan it and make a permanent sticker out of it.  I think I'll go down there within the next couple of days.  For the fourth time, some Jackmonkey stole the magnetic paw prints off the back of my car.  I guess magnets are just too much temptation. Sad

Good use of the word "Jackmonkey", Joyce.  Two thumbs up from me.

Luckily I had purchased two of the Dobe magnets I liked, and my friend is the one who produced the "Deed not Breed" ribbon for DPCA, so I can get another copy.

Amanda, I read the news about DCM on WSU's site. I admit, I know it's early and there are many questions about how this impacts Dobe breeding... but I cried.

Great word!  But wouldn't jackdonkey be more in line with what you were thinking??

So......I said the heck with appropriate work attire and took DH dry stuff for from the skin out, including jeans, sneakers and a warm sweater, just in case.  Poor guy should be on the roof by now, just as the wind is picking up.

Glenda, since this is mindless chat, I think there should be a moratorium on spelling & grammar usage.  We ought to be able to be imperfect and even ***gasp*** make up words. Geeked

yep.  absolutely right.  I am properly aghast that I did that! Wink
