    TGIF Chat

Morning all!!  It's really starting to look like a house now!  I tried "one more" idea in the livingroom before giving up and putting one of the recliners down in the family room, and what'dya know?  It worked!!   Oddly, once the living room was in order, everything else just started falling into place.  I got the study unpacked and functional, a good jump on the master bdrm, the kitchen and diningrooms are completely and totally finished, so I just have the guestroom today, where MY closet is, and the family room, and also to bring some sort of order to the downstairs bathroom.  A  lot of my problem is when there is mess and clutter I just can't focus, and I end up going from thing to thing to thing and not accomplishing much of anything.  I always try to create one clutter free zone, but this time, for some reason, it just didn't work.  But, that's ok.....I survived and even have plants placed in my livingroom!!  And, IT LOOKS LIKE A HOUSE FINALLY!!!!

    I'm all happy now!

Tommorow we need to start bringing stuff in from the RV that wasn't top priority...such as my home canned pickles, relishes, salsa, that sort of thing.  And of course, a ton of bathroom stuff, more kitchen stuff, and on and on and on........Sunday we will have a proper burial for Miss Corky.  I don't want to lump that in with the "to do" list.

Hopefully next week I can get the RV cleaned and winterized.  She needs to hibernate for the winter, and perhaps a good long time into the spring.  She's earned a good rest!  And, I don't want to spend anymore time than I have to in that thing right now.....in a few months I'll feel differerently!  Or not!

So......it's Friday guys!!  Have a great one as you head into the weekend!

Trying to figure out what day of the week starts with G.  Stick out tongue

I've been loaded for bear part of the week and now feeling a bit down, so I've been sticking to myself.

Still sending out vibes, good thoughts, and (((Hugs))) to all, esp. those in extra need this week.

I can't imagine just how happy you and your family must be Glenda.

I'm so hungry this morning that when my stomach growled, it woke Ari up who answered with a woof while staring at my belly. It was rather amusing. I'm not usually hungry in the morning at all.

There's a bottle of wine in the refrigerator with my name on it for tonight. It's been a heck of a week, work-wise. I know the new season of Grey's Anatomy started. I just recently started watching this show on Hulu and now watching Season 5 and Season 6 on Netflix Instant Viewing, so hopefully I can get caught up soon and start watching the new season on Hulu. I can't believe I went for years without seeing this show! Then again, I actually haven't had television service in about 5 years...

lol!!  Tina, I saw and hopefully fixed that!

glenda, glad to hear about that house!

I think that i'm starting to feel a tiny bit better but my right jaw is in pain today. this is probably due to the ear infection going on. i may need to go back to the docs for another round of antibiotics.

i'm starving too this morning! so the question is: waffle, bagel or Cinnamon roll?

    • Gold Top Dog

Julie, I vote for the cinnamon roll.

I had a tooth filled yesterday, so I had soft, scrambled eggs for breakfast.

Definitely go with the cinnamon roll.  Unless you have access to strawberry waffles.  In that case, go with the waffles.

Cher is to smart for her own good.  She is being a holy terror this morning, & has found herself in "time out" twice so far.  She just got out of time out, & I had to run up to our front desk to pick up some info.  I left her in my office & started up.  (My office is in the very back, so it's a hike to the front desk.)  I got about 15 feet from my office door when I heard the door open, & the pitter patter of Cher's feet. Before I could turn around, Cher was in heel position giving me tons of focus.  I ended up letting her come along so that we could train on the way up.  She did soooo well.  She finally reliably understands standing out of motion & she did it without issue quite a few times.  She sat quietly while I was getting my stuff from the front desk, & she heeled very nicely all the way back to my office.  When we got back into my office, she promptly grabbed one of my plants, gave it a huge shake, & attempted to run a zoomie.  For her sake, it's a good thing that she knows how to act in public!

Cher  .  . . . come out of the closet and proudly announce that you're a zoomer.

Glenda, I'm sooooo happy for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm getting married tomorrow eep.  I have lots of running around to do today.  I'm kind of miffed though, after all of the problems between my bridesmaids, then bridesmaids vs. my mom, then me vs my mom, all of which are cleared up, there is now a HUGE MEGA problem between my mother vs my brother and his fiance (one of my bridesmaids).  GAAAAAAAH

It's F now but when it was G I assumed it meant Thank Goodness It's Glenda!

Stressy day for hubs today...he is worried about a loan approval. The guy wanting approval is a huge obnoxious TOOL that gets VERY personal with hubs when he's ticked off. Hubs is uber non confrontational and hates this sort of thing. Approval vibes maybe? Thanks!

In other news? I promised the boy I'd come to lunch but it looks kinds like rain out *sigh*....I'll have to go anyways, I promised. he had a TON of homework this week, but at least it was actually homework the whole class had and not just "Eli didn't finish this in a timely manner". I swear homework is still a bit of a chore BUT instead of last year when it was "helping a very stubborn boy who has no clue what this work even MEANS..." it's become "helping a stubborn little boy who knows this stuff, but is merely stubborn". It may not sound that different but trust me it is. Asking a kid to count and fill in words and stuff feels a lot more fulfilling when you know they "get" it vs "going thru the motions so the teacher won't get after him for not doing it".

Lily has a grasshopper in a "terrarium" the kids put together for school. He is doing well. She is supposed to keep him 2 weeks. NI if they even live that long in Nature! But he's doing good right now so fingers crossed. She is supposed to observe him and care for him and keep a scientific journal on how he does. It's actually pretty neat...

Last night hubs was annoying MamaCat...and she BIT him....he deserved it BUT....directly afterwards....Yahoo, our other cat who is extremely tight with hubs, ATTACKED her and meant business. I honestly think he was defending his daddy but who knew cats did that kinda thing? We separated them and now they're back to being completely fine together. Hope she learned her lesson LOL! Hubby too!

Good girl cher. Smart dog that can behave perfectly in public to fool everyone. :)

I went with the cin roll but tossed it because it was too sugary. Bleh. Should have went with the bland scrambled eggs.

Congratulations Lauren!!!  I'm 100% sure everything will go smoothly tomorrow.  No stress for the bride!  But just in case, I recommend borrowing the 2x4 from Deb.  Works every time. Stick out tongue

Actually I've seen this same type of behavior with Moose the cat and Missy the other cat.  Missy is docile, but if Moose thinks you are hurting her, he will attack.  He has bitten and scratched me for accidentally stepping on her.  Moose also would attack Bear if I raised my voice to Bear.  It's crazy.  Moose is tight with me, but he will not hesitate to defend his little orange sister.
