THE WEEKEND CHAT.

    THE WEEKEND CHAT.

I need some vibes this morning. My sister called me yesterday afternoon to tell me she was taking my dad to the Dr. due to chest pains. He has had heart surgery before.

After many tests and a lot of prodding they know that right now it is not his heart, but he has a bladder infection, and gall stones, unfortunately last night they could not determine if he had an infection in the gall bladder or not. He is in a lot of pain. The Dr.s will make a decision some time this morning on whether or not they are going to take it out or treat it with heavy antibiotics.

Us kids are feeling fragile. He is at the same hospital that my mother was in. It is very hard for my sister and brother and my father to be there and feel comfortable, but he has excellent care and Dr.s. My father is 69 so some good vibes would be appreciated if you can spare them.

Lots of good thoughts coming your way. That sounds really painful, but hopefully fairly treatable too? Let us know how it goes, and we'll be thinking of you.

ONLY 3 MORE DAYS, 3 MORE NIGHTS!!!!

From yesterday.....Grab01, I too am a klutz and the way I tore my rotator cuff was trying to catch myself.  Sometimes its best to just land.  It's ironic tho, that I'M the family klutz, but I don't seem to every break anything.....poor Sis is the athlete in the family, very agile and very coordinated, and yet she falls and breaks her elbow and is suffering so very much.

I finally managed to settle down and finish a book that I've been trying to read all week yesterday.  Then fell asleep around 9.  That's a bit on the ridiculous side.  I truly am not that tired....I think it's just a way of getting time to pass maybe.....just sleep through it.  I'm soooo very tired of the crate thing....first thing in the morning, make and cover the bed, put crates up, then before I can go to bed, reverse the process.  Those darned crates seem to get heavier every day.

I hope Lisa is feeling good today.  Courtney, you'll have a blast!  Dawn, good vibes and prayers heading your way.

I need motivation to clean up the house, pay all bills, buy dog food, then do something fun.  Maybe a hike with just Chloe and Kya?  They'd really like that.

I won something on etsy which is great!  Just it's for parents of little kids.........so not that useable.  Still I won something and that is ultra cool.

We made mini parade floats for a work competition this week, and mine came in second!  I'm happy with that.  The winner gave theirs functioning lights and music..............I didn't even think of adding that.

Glenda, I'm so happy you'll get to be in a house soon!

It's a grooming day today.  Billy gets groomed, all the dogs get their nails done (why am I such a complete nail wuss!!! of all the dog things I do, I can't cut their nails).

Then at 3:00 I see Wally so *I* can get groomed!! LOL -- or does "cut & color" sound more human???

I need to get treats in ziplock baggies to have everbuddy take with them to the groomer.

'cept for me, of course .. *sigh* I don't GET treats at the groomer... er Wally's.  LOL

I need some vibes this morning.

    Healing vibes coming your way.

Feeling pretty good this morning.  I ended up taking some meds before bed last night so I could sleep, which worked.

Riley had her 1st swim class this morning.  My mom and sister went with me.  She did wonderfully.  I was so proud of her.  She listened to "Mr. Jimmy" and did what she was told most of the time.

Just doing some general laying around today.

It's almost time Glenda!  I am so excited for you!

Healing vibes from me, too, Dawn.

So, Jackie, did you ever get your donuts?

Am flying through the library and stopped to use the 'puter.  I gotta run - truck full of groceries and it decided to be sort of warm & humid this morning.

    TTFN!

you know, I don't think you could find another forum where people actually get excited for other people doing such a mundane thing as moving into a house!  Of coures, at this point, it isn't mundane for us, but still.....you guys are so great!

Dawn, will be thinking of you and your Dad today.  I can certainly understand how it would be uncomfortable for the family to be at that hospital.  I pray he gets home quickly.

I'm sitting here at the beauty parlor with Mom.  This new place is in a location where there is nothing for me to do...no errands can be run.  So, I sit here on the computer.

I had a nice dinner yesterday evening with two women I used to work with 20 years ago!  One of the ladies was my boss of 4 years and the woman I consider my mentor.  Fantastic woman...quite a character.  Has had an amazing life.  She is 65 now and recently earned her doctorate.  She is so inspiring.  Funny enough...she tells me that I inspire her as well.  But, thats the motivator in her.  Really enjoyed it...I rarely go out without Rick...it was fun.  No offense Rick.  Love ya, hon.

Looking forward to a relaxing weekend.  Monday evening, going to Austin.  I'll be taking Rocky, the youngest cat to go live with my daughter and will spend some time with him.  I'm feeling a bit apprehensive about this...but forging ahead.  If it doesn't work...he comes back.  Then working in Austin Tuesday and Wednesday.

Have a great weekend!  Left HugGroupHugRight Hug

Dawn, you're Dad is in my thoughts and prayers.  I know how being in the same hosptial where a recentl loss occured can really be hard.  ((hugs))

No Schwans delivery yesterday.  The delivery guy called at 8:30 pm wanting to know if we'd be home so he could deliver.  He didn't read any of the instructions I gave customer service when I placed my order.  Not too happy with the whole experience so far.  I told him he could deliver them Monday before noon at my office or he could cancel the order.  He didn't even bother to apologize for his screw up.

We went to the park despite the massive mud.  The dogs love mud and  I can't complain because getting rain this time of year really puts all the plants and wildlife in good shape to get through the Winter months.  We dropped the dogs off at the house and went to the Botanical Gardens for their Fall plant sale.  Perennials in one gallon containers for $5.00 each.  Plus I get a discount for being a member. Then stopped to pick up some potting soil at the little family owned nursery and back home.  It's getting ready to rain again but we got everything unloaded.  Fall is a great time to plant in this area and I got some really good plants.  Our water utility will give me $1.00 my water bill for each xeriscape plant purchased.  Win, win!   I'm a happy camper today.  :)

    Well, that's craptastic.

Dawn- you're in my thoughts and good energy circle.  I bet it's really uncomfortable for your siblings to see him in the same hospital as your mom.  Keeping the faith that they will take excellent care of him and resolve this quickly.

This head cold/allergy thing is doing me in.  I am so stupidly tired.  I helped resolve a panic over something that is a scam, and helped hold the dogs for nail dremmeling.  The furniture for my friend to sit in after her surgery should arrive around 2 today, and then I think I'm toast.  Maybe a movie.

Truly - definitely good thots & prayers for your Dad (and your family) -- uti's in someone infirm can be a whole different thing and it can make them feel ALL-OVER completely crappy.  Here's hoping it's something simple.

Jackie -- that's a shame.  I would think you should vent to the company -- they did NOT shine in this at all.

Thanks everyone. Just talked to my brother. They are going to keep him for a couple of days to monitor his pain, get some antibiotics into him, starve him (his take on it, not ours!) and try to get his gall bladder to play nice for a bit longer. Due to the amount of blood thinners he is on they have to wean him down a bit before they can schedule surgery.

I really was worried, hardly slept last night, and was up early this morning. I did speak to him at 7:AM his time, he laughed at me and told me I was a worry wart but he knew I would call. I am the only child of 4 that gets up before sun like he does.

My brother sounded up beat and talked to me a bit about what the Dr had to say overall. Despite his current pain and lack of food he is doing good.

Thank you again for lifting me up.

    Glad it's good-ish news, Truely.

Jackie, I can't believe you still haven't gotten your donuts!!

I can barely wait until Glenda moves...mostly because she makes me feel like a slug :P

Enjoy your time at the groomers, Callie!

Poor Pirate got stung by a wasp in his paw when FH took them out this morning :( FH says he's fine, but I wish I had time to go home and check on my baby! I have to work until 6, ugh.
