I talk about you guys so often to my DH that now when I'm talking about someone and their dog(s) he says, "Ok, are these real people or internet people?" LMAO!

Tell him to behave or I will send my very REAL pug up there to KISS HIM UNTIL HE SUBMITS!!!! (ohhh that IS a threat, truly that is -- the power of the pug kisses ... better than a 2 x 4!!!!)

He'd love it- he's a fan of the Pugs!

Things like the swaps done on here -- it's a big deal. 

To just send each other a card.  It suddenly makes the internet "real" -- cos a real person put the stamp on it.   

This^ is so true. When I did my first swap here (I think it was a collar swap, maybe..) that's when it really hit me how real you guys are. And, I think, that's when I opened up a little more. Callie, you know how open I was with you when DH and I were deciding about getting married!

 I love this board! I've been coming here for... 6 or 7 years now. Through ALL of the board changes. I still call it i-dog!

We had a bit more drama a few years ago where we got into some heated discussions, but now we get along pretty good. If ever I need some doggie info, I always look at the archives! I admit, I'm more of a lurker now, but I put in a word or two every once in a while!

I also have been known to cry buckets when one or more dogs of the forum passes away. My friends/parents are like "but you dont even know them" and I'm like *sob* "but I DO!"

 I love this board.  It's my secret addiction.  And I still call it i-dog too.  I remember it when it was blue!

I still call it i-dog, too. I've been hanging around since 2005. I like the magic thing that happens when we pull together to help someone, human, or canine, or feline, or equine.

I like that everyone here is so intelligent and erudite and we can talk about anything from the most mundane of our households to particle physics and so on. But I think it's also tempered by our love for animals. It doesn't matter how much or little we think we have unscrewed the inscrutable, there is still that something that our pets bring to our lives and we bring to each other's lives.

Yep, Anne, I'd say we're old.  Chuffy tho......she sure didn't LOOK old in those baby birthing photos!

Yep, try as anyone might, this place IS idog.  And I'm very glad to see some peace prevailing in certain areas of the forum!  We did have a fair amount of unpleasantness at one point and I'm truly glad to see that's over.  Now we seem to be able to disagree less unpleasantly and that's a huge step.

I love this place. Sometimes I feel like you are my only friends. Really, I'm on here almost every day. Besides DH, I don't have anyone else I talk to that much. I secretly wish that we all lived in the same town. There are so many of you that I'd LOVE to hang out with, have coffee, let the dogs play, etc. 

Wouldn't that be a blast??  And I could get my granny fix and then pass back the fussy little ones!

At the rate my sons are going, I may be in the nursing home before I am a gramma!

Me too! I think that would be great!  I don't have bunches of friends either (just one close friend), and I just love coming here. 

I, too, have been here since the old idog days, I think I joined in 2003 or 2004...wish I could figure out when, but I think this place is the best.
