What are we watching these days?

FOOSBALL!!

That's it! NFL season starts TONIGHT...NCAA started last week!!

Oh...Rangers baseball of course. And the US Open...that's tennis. *sigh* Rafa!!

Oh you meant "shows"...girl stuff. LOL. My husband, girl that he is...watches Warehouse 13 on SyFy and that's a fun show. I really only watch sports, news, and Masterpiece Theater/Mystery!. I prefer to read, truth be told. ALL. HAIL. KINDLE.

Some of my guilty pleasures are the reality shows.  I like Big Brother which is wrapping up soon.  I like Survivor, Amazing Race, and Dancing with the Stars.

On cable, my faves are Weeds, United States of Tara, Nurse Jackie and the new one with Laura Linney, The Big C.

I also like The Closer with Kyra Sedgewick...love her character.

Minute to Win It! Love that show! DH and I are thinking of offering some of those games at our house parties , cards are getting boring. We also can't wait for The Biggest Loser to start up again! And I still need to knock off 10lbs...this show motivates me.

Sports...any and all!  If there's no games on then sportscenter news!  LOL

On my nerd side I started watching Stargate when I was younger and got hooked to it!  yeah...laugh it up. 

My nephew got me into Big Brother and Survivor...the only reality shows I can watch.

Other notables ...Jeopardy, most shows on HGTV, and most recently got into Whale Wars.

DH and I have been watching Bones on Netflix and I just love it.  We are almost finished with season 4.  I just LOVE the two main characters and the relationship they have with each other.  I'm very excied for this season to start up.

Other than that I watch Criminal Minds, NCIS, The Office, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, How I Met Your Mother, The Mentalist, The Big Bang Theory  (love this show!), The Simpson's, CSI, and probably a bunch more.

Fall is when I watch the most TV.  I haven't really had the TV on since the end of May.  I don't particularly like reality shows and nothing seems to be on in the summer.  We also don't have cable which is fine because if we did I don't think I could stop watching!

I love Bones!  Great show (and excellent books, too...Kathy Reichs is the author if anyone wants to check them out).

I just finished watching the first 2 seasons of Dexter on Netflix online, and I am in love with the funny, cuddly serial killer, lol.  Unfortunately the next 2 seasons aren't available online, so I have to watch them via Netflix mailing me the DVDs, but I just got 2 in the mail today and they are coming with me on vacation!

Anyone catch season two of Breaking Bad? I saw Season one but I haven’t gotten around to downloading season two.  I don’t have cable so I need a lot of catching up.  (don’t spoil it for me if you have seen it)

Being that it takes place and is filmed in New Mexico it's become one of my favorite ever show to watch.  Everything in the show is so close to where I grew up, it’s funny seeing places that are filmed in Albuquerque and surrounding areas that I’ve been to several time.  Then, the depictions of the charters are so true to people of this state.

Ice Road Truckers, American Chopper, NASCAR and PBR here (and Deadliest Catch and After The Catch, but they won't start until the Spring).  Looking forward to the new season of Parenthood starting, too.  Can't forget Days Of Our Lives, either.

PBR! I'd forgotten about that for a while cuz of baseball but caught an event over the weekend. Ben Jones just CRACKS ME THE HECK UP!! But I am Brazil fan...I cannot get over how HOT Guilherme is...seriously. I can't.

I'm with you on this one Xebby.  Twenty-two guys in industrial strength underwear taking three or four hours to move a ball from one end of the field to the other ... if they'd just keep the dang clock running they could be finished in an hour or less. 

I like the Closer, Rizzoli & Isles, Psych and Big Brother, all of which should be ending pretty soon. I also kind of like the ones about hoarders and that newish one *Freaky Eaters*.  They showed a guy who had eaten absolutely nothing in the last 17 years except 4 cheeseburgers a day.  He was afraid of veggies so he wouldn't even add a bit of lettuce or tomato.

Holy cow, I forgot to add this one to my list!  Yes, we have our DVR set to record every new ep...I love this show!

Girl, you're TWO seasons behind!    You have a Netflix membership, right?  You can get the DVDs of Season 2 now from them; they don't have Season 3 available yet.

Ben Jones is a riot, isn't he?  I miss the days of Justin, JW and Owen, tho.  Hard to believe Chris Shivers is one of the "old guys" now.  Gad, I remember when he hit the scene, and Luke Snyder, too

  No comment on the Brazilians.  Let's just leave it at my husband can tell from the other room when one is up because he hears me yelling for the bull. 

 Oh, somebody menitoned Breaking Bad.  Good grief, how the heck could I forget about that?  Yep- that's another one I can't wait to start up again.  Obvioulsy, most of our TV season starts in the spring here.  LOL

 Oh, and another how the heck did I forget?- Law & Order SVU and CI.  Not so sure I'll be watching the new NOLA, tho.

Heather, we have similar taste in TV shows.  I love The Office, Psych, and Rescue Me, too.  I'm bummed that Rescue Me is over.  The other shows I always watch are Modern Family, 30 Rock, and House.  I was also a Lost fan, so I've got a free hour to fill with a new show this season now that it's over.  I also enjoy many of the Masterpiece Theatre/Mystery presentations.

My husband isn't a huge fan of the shows I like.  He records shows like Man vs. Wild and other survivalist/military type series on Discovery.  On the other hand (and he might not appreciate me sharing this), he never misses Glee!  He loves it!  I love it, too, so that's one show we watch together.
