    Day BEFORE Friday Chat

     Good morning all

I hope all our Texans are OK - I think that Hermine didn't like being called Hermine and took out her anger on you folks!

Glenda good vibes for your sister

Meg good vibes for your Mom

Can't recall much else from late yesterday

Amanda the reason I asked about *another* adolescence at 5 is because he opened doors from the first week we had him, then he stopped.  He's done it a few times since about 1 or so, but its rare.  He's been pushing the envelope again with regard to his behavior, like this morning when right in front of DH & I he grabbed the discarded paper from a banana nut muffin.

Trying to get motivated to take him for a swim

    Morning all!

Getting a few details from my sister, that my mom did NOT have.  Actually Sis fell on a busy road and was almost knocked out from the force of the fall.  Her friend, who is a tiny little thing, literally lifted her up and carried her out of the road.  There is some rib damage and she see's the ortho today to find out if they have to repair the elbow surgically or not.  Is apparently a "nasty break".  Owwwiee!!

DS is leaving today Sad to head back to VA.  Hate to see him go so soon, but, it's also very difficult being outside all the time.  Having him in the tent is not so fun for any of us.  With the exception of Sheba, everyone is going outside and spending time with him and everyone is fine, but, he's still nervous about actually coming in to their territory.  And the weather has been a bit on the blucky side.  Am anxious to have him come back once we are in the house....and yes, am still crossing off days on the calender in anticipation of THAT event!

Just checking in this morning.  No updates re: the stalker.  Am waiting to hear back from Women's Aid.  I just missed the legal lady yesterday.

Good thoughts for Glenda's sis and Meg's mom.

Karen, my husky Shari was a bratty dog and my vet said it was not uncommon for the breed not to mature til around age 5.  She finally mellowed when she was nearly 8.

Hope our Texas friends are drying out.

     Morning!!

I can't possibly do the breakdown so *good*, *get better*, *job*, *stay safe* vibes and *hugs* going out to all.

I've been trying to keep up with everything but omg, how long does it take to adjust to working again?? Everytime I think I'm there, I get my hours increased or a shift that just wears me out...

Aww Glenda, an elbow break is always nasty. My SO broke his a couple years ago in a skiing accident. Basically, he shattered/crushed it. He still has the metal rods they put in there so it would heal right. The break wasn't the bad part though, the physical therapy he had to go through was brutal. He had to keep at it though, so the bones would heal right. I hope your Sis is ok, and thank goodness her friend was there!

The SO tossed, turned and thrashed about last night and kept me up in the process. When I did manage to get some shut eye, I had terrible terrible nightmares that woke me up in a panic. I gave up trying to sleep around 4am. It's going to be a loooong day.

I recently went through all my clothing. I got rid of a few things with holes in them, and a few will go to a clothing donation drop off box the next time I'm out and about. I discovered just how many jeans I own that I no longer fit into. Some my Mom gave me when she lost all the weight she dropped. So, I literally have enough pants to see go from the 14/16's I'm currently wearing, then I have the 12's my Mom gave me, a scattering of 10's and the 8's I really long to fit back into (well when I weighed 140ish lbs I was an 8 or a 10, I gots hips to say the least!). At least, I won't need to spend any money on a new wardrobe! I can't wait to fit back into my cute clothes. That's motivation enough right there.

Glenda, THANK you for your advice on doing small/short projects around the house. I'm forcing myself to stick to a time limit (or just one task) and it's been great. I'm not burning myself out and I'm actually kinda having fun with it. It's feeling really good to throw out all this crap we just don't need to hold onto.

Apparently I'm chatty today. That typically happens when I'm overly tired, I tend to be a bit of a babbler. Off to go earn my paycheck now :)

We're supposed to get some sunshine today.  That should make things nice and steamy after all the rain. :(

Glenda, good vibes to your sis.  Meg, same to your Mom.

Not feeling too chatty this morning.  I feel like I ate a muffin paper like Bugsy.

Once again, not having a good morning after not having a good night.  FH is really worried about losing hours (quite understandable) but its making him very hard to deal w/ and it seems like slight thing from me that doesn't met his expectations becomes a huge ordeal.  Grrr. I hope he finds something soon.

Sending out good vibes for Meg's mom.

And, you're welcome.  I can so easily get overwhelmed by the chore list, and if I break it down, it really works for me.  I'm glad you're finding it a good method as well.

Bizarro weather.....I actually went back and put on jeans and socks!  Oh, and a flannel over my tank.  I really do LIKE cooler weather, but this caught me by surprise!

good vibes for Meg's mom and Glenda's sis!

I'm having a rough time getting back into this semester.  I'm getting busier at work which doesn't help since I'm out half of Friday at a class, and also taking a night class.  It's my last semester though, so maybe I just have senioritis.  After the master's I am done with degrees, I swear.

Is it sad that I'm unhappy that  my weekend is already pretty packed?  I just want to relax, and we have a zillion things going on.

The not-so-frozen brownie batter in my freezer might have to make an appearance after work.

Deb, how was the dentist appt?

Posted on Facebook yesterday  . . . . "Look Ma - no cavities" !!!  To which Jackie and Gina immediately snarked me out that my good checkup was due, in fact, to the copious amounts of Vodka that I drink. Big Smile

We're drying out. The bedroom needs another go with the drying tackle I think...but the playroom and dining room seem 100% dry. oh, and Lily's room needs a bit of drying out too...and the leak in the roof...need to call the roofer, and the guy about the french drain. *sigh*

    I. HATE. WATER.

Random question of the day....Do you pee in the shower?

    • Gold Top Dog

"do you" implies it is a regular occurence and to that I'd say "no". Now "have you ever..." would be a yes.
