Sorry folks, I'm still lost in mega hours at work so I've been way out of the loop and obviously I've missed MUCH.

Glenda -- prayers & good thots for your sister (and your son's travel)

Meg - holler if I can help ok??  (I really missed this one, sorry!!) Prayers and good thots for sure.

And for everyone else, I promise I'll go back and read the threads and I'm hoping you Texans didn't get too much damage.

The days are just flying by me right now -- nothing like being busy to make time pass.

And Amanda -- if I were a male I'd prolly not think anything of it.  But like most girl dogs I tend to not like to pee on my own feet and the shower isn't that roomy.

Amanda, wasn't it you who told us the story of some friends (a couple) taking a shower together when one peed?  Blech!

Gracie is convinced she's in Shangri La over here.  Always someone around, huge fenced fields and yards to run in, squirrels to chase along the fence - even chipmunks!  We haven't seen chipmunks in eons!  Shoot, squirrels are silver again, not red!  She's a very happy girl, and I'm really glad for it.

Tonight we join the training group.  Apparently, about 15 people are anxious to "finally meet" me.  Ugh, pressure.  Little do they know, I may end up teaching them before too long for competition prep. (insert evil laugh here)

Gina, I'm so sorry you're having to muck out.  It really, really does suck to have things ruined by water.  It's all well and good to say "at least - insert some comment about your house is still standing, you still have your health, etc, etc", but it sucks nonetheless.  You have my sympathies and energy for strength and survival in this clean-up.

OK, off for a lesson on driving the truck.  Apparently, me driving a 10' moving truck across country isn't really evidence of my ability to drive a huge vehicle, but, so be it.  They're kind enough to lend me any of the vehicles they have - well, aside from the unregistered BMW convertible & the Spyder 3-wheel motorcycle.  So I shall not complain. :D

I think that's another one of those "Most guys do and most girls don't" things.

    Is it Saturday yet??

I'm going with Gina's answer. Embarrassed

I'm thinking that when Mike gets on the road, I'll do a grocery store run.  I'd like to stock up on some staples before we get into the house.  I'll have all the move in stuff to do, and then I want to make a quick trip to MI to see my mom and also bring back some of our winter stuff.  So it'll be nice to NOT have a ton of shopping to do in the midst of all of that.  And, hopefully shortly thereafter I'll be going back to work, so now is a good time to get some of this stuff done.

Counting down the days........and they are moving FAR too slowly!

    Ick!

I'd have to go with Gina's answer as well. Speaking of showers, I hope things continue to dry up for you Gina.

It's a little gloomy again this morning and still cool but is supposed to be in the mid-80s for the next several days. Perfect weather!

I have tons of work to get done and since I feel too mindless to chat much, I should get busy.

My vacation officially starts tomorrow afternoon!!! Party!!!

I'll be flying into RDU, spending tomorrow night at my parents' house, then we're heading out Saturday morning to drive to the beach, with a stop to pick up my grandmother.  It's going to be quite the long road trip with my family...of course the only way I agreed to do it is that I will be driving, which should help reduce the chances that they will annoy the crap out of me.  But, if anyone could spare some "please don't drive into oncoming traffic to end the misery" vibes, they'd probably be helpful. Stick out tongue

I'm a person who would get out of the shower to do it, then jump back in usually. It's unusually cold here. I was gonna go home for pants, but decided I wanted soup from the farmer's market. I hope I have a sweatshirt in the car, or I'm gonna wear my Halloween shirt.

That reminds me of when I worked at a pool. The maintenance guy would test the chlorine levels with a yellow dye.  He would tell the kids that the darker it was, the more kids there were who peed in the pool.  Some of them would not want to get back into the water after they saw that.

Back from Riley's doctor appt at U of M this morning.  I am so tired.  It's over an hour ride there (1.5 if you count parking etc.) and we had to fight rush hour for our 8:30 appt.  I have my doc appt this afternoon with the surgeon.  What do you think my chances are that he can get me in tomorrow for the surgery?  LOL

Her appt. went well.  Doc is really happy with the condition of the knee and they think the arthritis is starting to "go away"?  It's still a long road but we think we have it 100% under control.  I do have to get her a lift for one of her shoes since her arthritic leg is longer than the other due to overgrowth.  Other than that she is doing great.

Regarding random question, yes if I have to go and don't want to get out, but its not like I make a habit of it.

Random answer:  Sometimes.... you know there is a way to *not* pee on your feet....

Hugs, no more water, job, moving, nice weather vibes to those who need them.

You guys brighten my day, every day. Just so you know!

Got one lesson of the day done, ds is having some 'recess' because he was wiggly and squirrely for his phonics lesson.  But he's cruising along wonderfully and loves science!

Looking forward to the weekend, hurry up Thursday!

I heard there were 4 tornados in Texas overnight...is everyone ok?   We have had tons of rain, 4 to 6 inches since midnight.  Not anything like Texas had though.  Gina I feel for you and the muck...yuck!  I have been through that before and it is no fun!

It's nice to see all of you again, really missed the chat!

Busy day today so I will catch up later!
