Have you ever talked to this breeder yourself. Perhaps your friends know better what is best for them than you do. Seems to me you are making a rash judgement of someone before you know all the facts.
Actually, these people are speaking from experience, and know the red flags to look for. Firstly, the breeder is breeding outside the Boston Terrier breed standard, which means that, while the puppies are "unique" in their coloration (therefore she can get more money for them from the uninitiated), she is not improving the breed. Secondly, none of her breeding stock have titles of any kind, which is one way that buyers can try to determine whether the pups will be temperamentally and structurally sound. The fact that all you seem to have to do is put a deposit on a puppy to get it is contrary to most reputable breeders' practice of taking names and screening prospective owners before the litter is even bred. Those people occasionally have "extra" pups if they get a large litter, but otherwise, most of the time, you go on a waiting list for a pup from a good breeder. That doesn't necessarily mean that they cost any more, either, than a puppy mill or backyard breeder's dogs, but the guarantee is better. 72 hour guarantees are common with pup mills - but good breeders take their dogs back for the life of the dog if the owner can no longer care for it. I didn't see anything on that web site that would give me any confidence that the breeder is reputable. Just looks like some ma and pa out to make a few bucks.
