Sunday MC

    Sunday MC

     It is Sunday right?

I was up at 7:30 like I planned! This never happens on the weekends.

I must have slept wrong last night because my knee feels like I twisted it and it's cracking while I walk.

Today I need to finish cleaning, laundry and packing. I didn't get a whole lot done yesterday except for cleaning the spare rooms and bathroom and a tiny bit of laundry. Oh and I did some yard cleaning. Then there was the whole mouse incident which drove me to drink and go to bed early!

At least the dogs will be set with food, meds, chewy stuff and treats / toys. They won't get much exercise while I'm gone at all so I expect to come home to 3 crazy aussies. What will I do without my puppies!

It doesn't feel real that I'm leaving tomorrow. It probably won't feel real until I'm in the car on the way to the airport.

I'm so excited for you Julie!

It got downright chilly here last night.....into the 40's!!  Really great sleeping weather. although I think I'd best dig through and find some sweats for oldest DS to wear in the tent so he doesn't freeze tonight.  I really hope he actually GETS here.  Last Sunday he oversleep so much that he never made it and went straight to upstate NY.

Our weather yesterday was just wierd.  Clear and sunny all day, then in the evening the wind really picked up and we got rain and then downright chilly!  Nothing in the forecast so that was a bit odd.

Hope everyone has a great day!

I'm getting ready to go to my friend's tonight. Cookie dough is made (my other friend and I are making sugar cookies).  I'm washing my B.F. Skinner t-shirt, I need to find something to wear for today and Monday, though I feel no need to get dressed before I roll out the cookie dough.

My throat feels cruddy though. I guess I need to go to the doctor on Tuesday, because it has felt that way since Friday. I think it's allergy stuff, and because the cat has been coming into my room. Tonight is not going to help this situation, because my friend has two cats. Hopefully though washing my bedding is going to help.

ooh, man, now it's countdown on the hours and minutes, eh, Julie??  :D

Same over here - my sister gets married this afternoon and I'm running to the store for MORE stuff! lol  Wish me luck.  Gracie has decided this should be a slow late morning - she actually cuddled under the covers last night.... that was, after she insisted on going out around 1am.  Clear skies revealed every beautiful star in the sky - which made it worth it, though.

Julie, that's awesome! Glenda, that's COLD! For me, the minute the daytime temps drop below 60*, I bust out my winter coat. By spring I'm a bit hardier, but in the fall, brrrrrr.

I am really proud of myself - I finally got my kitchen 95% unpacked! No more boxes! I need to do a little re-organizing still, but I'm really proud of what I've gotten done so far. Even got 3 boxes of "there's no room for this" stuff stored down in the scary basement! I even took pictures when I was done, lol.

After weeks of trying, I finally have a private dog training session scheduled! Thanks again to everyone who gave me advice on trainers. At first I thought it was silly to ask for advice, thinking, "Are they REALLY going to know better than me just from the website?" In short, yes. :) I'm hoping to get Rascal to the point that I can bring him into the office with confidence.

Paige, the wedding stuff sounds super stressful... any way you can just shine it on and let some of the extra stuff just... go? My brother was the same way with his wedding - SUPER last-minute and disorganized (we "rehearsed" about 5 minutes before the ceremony) but it ended up working really well because 1) there was lots of alcohol provided (lol), 2) they got really good at saying "Oh well!" and not stressing and 3) they didn't get too hung up on what they HAD TO HAVE OR ELSE. I hope things go well for you guys! It sounds like a pain to organize, but it does sound like a really fun wedding... :)

Jeez Glenda, I just now noticed the temp you mentioned. I was hoping to be able to get away without bringing a coat when I'm up that way in about two weeks. I have so much crap to carry up with me, and a coat is just not something I need.

    Paige - have fun today!

Friends get together and bake cookies. That is such a foriegn concept to me Lol a friend of mine was determined once to teach me how to make meatballs. I just sat at the table and looked at her the entire time like, how long have you known me? Then when it was all done, about an hour and a half later! she said "see, its so easy" I said "so is opening a bag out of the freezer". She was crushed, but we were drunk by the end of the night, so the time wasn't watsed ;p

It is down right cold here. Fri night it got down to 50 and has pretty much stayed there since. I though I wanted sweatshirt weather but I was fooling myself. I want 70s.

Yup, we do that. We're making Star Wars sugar cookies. My friend isn't much of a cook or baker, though she is slowly becoming one. I on the other hand have a good deal of kitchen skill, I just use it infrequently. When we get together, we do some cooking sometimes. The other week we did Mexican, which turned out very nicely. I think it may have disturbed her a bit that I completely didn't measure anything. I just eyeball, taste, adjust as needed, and it all turns out great. She likes to make lasagna, which she does pretty well. I just recently taught her though that if you wanted to, you could sub ground turkey for ground beef. I use a recipe as a suggestion of what to do, and go from there. I also am of the belief that if you screw up, a delicious pizza is only 15-20 minutes away.

I've been ordered to "not get sucked into the 'puter" !

The weather has REALLY cooled off and it feels great. Slept in for a change!

Julie, have a blast and I expect tons of pictures!!

Paige, you have fun too and don't sweat the small stuff.

I am off to begin a construction project involving wood and power tools.  I'll post pics later  Smile

    Have a GREAT day everyone!!

LOL!  You have NO idea how many of my younger friends have asked to sit at my table and learn how to make certain dishes.

Of course there are times that I just don't want to lift a spatula, but for the most part, I love to cook....it's another creative outlet for me.  I just kind of scratch my head over people who have NO idea which end of the spat is which!  And when I look at the ingredients on a lot of the prepared stuff....well, a lot of it is just plain SCARY!

Hi hope all is well with everyone.  I'm bored nothing on tv lol Sundays gotta be the most boring day for me lol.

I'm wondering is it to early to decorate for Halloween??? I love Halloween Smile

    • Gold Top Dog

It's never too early to decorate for Halloween. I might get on that next week.

What a lovely day this is. It's almost noon, and I am still wearing pajamas. It's so rare I get a chance to do that.

     I'm totally procrastinating.

I ran to walgreens looking for those accupressure wrist bands for motion sickness - they don't have them, fyi. Neither does Kroger or Rite Aid.

Then I hit Best Buy - and took Abbie in with me for some training. I picked up a cute messenger bag to carry around with me on the trip. I originally purchased one from walmart, but it is just too big. It'd be perfect as an addition to my carry on rolling luggage, but I need something that I can tote around while site seeing. Something that I can easily stuff my camera and so on in to while not being too heavy or cumbersome. (Backpacks are really inconvenient for this imo). I also got another underwater camera, which was on sale for $8. I haven't taken photos with a regular camera in AGES. I don't know if I will even remember how to use one. How do you tell if something is in focus with those things?

And now, I'm surfing the web.

    Yep, procrastination at its best.
