    Morning all!

From yesterday.....Amanda, the open is more uncomfortable initially, but, you get a much better result.  Your iceman sounds pretty much like what I was trying to describe to you.  I don't think mine was originally meant for a horse, but..........the thing certainly became my new best friend!

For some reason, Thor has decided that when I enter the main part of the RV from the bedroom, he is supposed to greet me.  Loudly.  Intensely.  With ear splitting, wake up the entire campground noise.  It's ok if I need to pee in the middle of the night, but anytime after 5 he starts this nonsense from the time my feet hit the floor until I make it out here.  This morning, poor Todd, who has had SIX early mornings in a row had to get up and come out just so I could use the bathroom and get up.  This darned RV is turning my poor dogs into nuerotic messes!

I think I may have finally lost it......I printed out August and September calenders, hung them on the fridge and have been crossing off the days until we get into the house!!  Pathetic, right?  I actually don't mind the RV, but the guys are so done with it, and THEIR constant complaining gets very old very fast.  Yep, it's crowded, especially with Ryan living in here too, and it's not terribly convenient cooking meals, but, I manage, and they can just get over it and accept what IS for right now.  So, my loosing it is less to do with the RV and more to do with the guys.  I think.

I'm anxious to see Mike sometime today.  He sounds pretty depressed lately and I'm hoping hanging out with his family and also his friends when he goes to NY for his buddys wedding, will get him in a better frame of mind.  He'll be back here next Sunday for a couple days as well.

I'm off to make a pasta salad for our campground picnic later on and to try to figure out where I put my brain......

Have fun at the fair, Mindy and eat something fried on a stick for me. lol

Glenda, I'm sure you will all be so relieved to get out of that RV and into a house.  Have a good time at your picnic.

Gabby is sitting in my lap watching me type and giving me kisses on my neck.  She's pretty sure it's almost time to go do something fun.  :)

Hope everyone has a good Sunday.

Oh Jackie!!  I'm so envious of that puppy love!!  Tyler always wants to sit in my lap, but, I can't see over him or reach around him to type when he does.  Plus, he's a little bit heavy! Tongue Tied

I am loving the weather this weekend. This is how summer should be always! borderline hottish, low humidity, sunny, breezy. Yeah, I'm living in a dream world but I will enjoy it while it lasts!

Today is sar group training. Thankfully it is only 3 miles away rather than 60+ miles. I'm so not in to driving anywhere.

    7 days....!

Just FYI, ladies, I am totally not into high schoolers. I just had way too much free time to watch TV this summer!!

    Off to homework land...

    Dropping in to say ***HI!***

I have been so busy, I haven't had time to keep up with you all and the current chats.  I know I've missed quite a bit.

I'm so happy for Glenda who will be moving into her new house soon (albeit not soon enough...lol); and Amanda whose surgery is over and now in healing mode.  I must go read about "iceman."  LOL

I have some homework to do myself that is job related...and need to get on that.  But, I have to share with you some potential good news.  I went to Austin to work Thursday and Friday; and asked the boss for a "mid-year" review, to see how things have been going in our relationship from her point of view.  In all honesty, I've been paraniod that she has been wanting to make a change in Admin support (which is what I do).  Just little things that she says (or doesn't say in some cases).

So, I go in to this meeting thinking she might tell me about all the things that drive her crazy; and even worse I'm thinking she might say she wants to bring in someone that will offer support in Austin.  We have a remote situation...she is in Austin (for the most part...travels a lot); and I'm in Houston.  I've been supporting her for a year now, and we have had very little face time together.

Anyway, it turns out that I WAS simply paranoid.  Long story short....she is happy with our relationship!  She said I do a "fantastic" job, especially since we ARE in a remote relationship.  AND...get this:  She is thinking about starting a new Admin model in her organization of 500 people.  She is considering having an "admin pool" and instead of the assistants reporting to an executive...have the assistants report to a senior administrator....ME!  I'm flabbergasted.  I'm flattered!  I'm so relieved.

So, I go in to this meeting thinking I may be told to hit the door; and I walk out of the meeting with the possibility of being "promoted" into a supervisory role.  Very cool.  This isn't in stone yet...we have some model design and analysis to do which we've already started with Human Resources....but it is very exciting and I feel SO much better.

Buddy is calling me...gotta run to go feed him and and his hooligans.  Have a great morning!  Good vibes to all whether you need them or not!  Big Smile

I woke up at 6:30 to Sassy whimpering at me. I jumped and let her out and thought "I wonder why the alarm clock didn't go off" and then remembered it's Sunday. 6:30 is actually sleeping late for me but I'm pretty sure I could've slept longer had it not been for her.

DH gets off his shift this morning and then has 16 days off. I can't even imagine having that much time off but I'm really happy for him. He still has some work to do on his bike and then maybe I can get him to do some honey-do stuff for me.

I need to get to the grocery store early this morning and then I can relax and enjoy the rest of the day. It's going to be 70ish again today and then 90s the rest of the week.

ETA - I went out to get the paper and it's raining. It's a light rain but we never get rain this time of year. I think I like it. :)

ETA to add more - Barbara - that is fantastic news about your review and about the potential new responsibility. I'm super excited for you.

Not so lazy for me today.  I have to go do Yappy Hour later.  Right now, off for the obligatory frisbee game with the bean head dog.

Mindy, have fun a the fair! We went to our local fair on Friday and the kids had so much fun on the rides. Kale got to go twice, once with his youth group and once with us. He won $11.50 at Bingo. hehe. He was sooooo pumped it was way too funny. He could barely contain himself. I wish I could be happy with that kind of money.

Thor, shhhhh....it won't be long buddy.

Amanda, hope your shoulder feels better today.

Barb, that's great news! Fingers crossed that the promotion goes through without a hitch.

I am playing Frontierville this weekend. Its really not a game you can just play on the weekends, but I just don't have time during the week. So if everyone that plays could send me Nails, that would be nice. :P

I want 16 days off. I go back to work, at work, on Tuesday I think. And Miss Kali starts Junior Kindergarten on Thursday. Its a gentle entry program so she only goes Thursday then she starts for real next tuesday. Its an All Day Every Day program, which would scare me if she didn't go to daycare every day anyway. It will actually be a shorter day for her, and she will walk to my mom's with Kale after school. My mom lives 2 doors away from the school, so I think Kale should be able to handle it. BUT Kali is only 3 still. She won't be 4 till December. She's just a baby. :(

Bugsy woke us up at 5:40 this morning - I am not sure why his schedule is altered but the big guy needs to poop first thing.  I am going to try and feed him later and see if that helps but he's been eating the same time for ages and ages and never had to poop right away.  Sigh - 5:40 felt early on a Sunday

Selling some things on craiglist so I made the mistake of looking at the pet section - I shouldn't have done that

I have some cleaning to do and I would really like to spend some time taking photos but not sure where I'll go to do that

I might go out and look for new lamps for our bedroom too - the new furniture looks so nice but we really need the finishing touches - usually DH does that sort of shopping because I hate it LOL Mr. Martha

Barb, congrats on the meeting with your boss.  Yes  No doubt in my mind that you're a valuable resource in whatever you do.

We went to the ballpark and then took the dogs for a walk by the creek, which is now dry. :(  I took Gabby to the playground equipment and got her to follow me and Twister up the stairs on one of the pieces of equipment.  She went right up after a moment of hesitation and followed right back down with no worries.

I'm off to the grocery store.

Barb congrats on the job front!  Hope it works out well for you :)  Our HR would certainly do something to make it a headache

I've got a lot done this weekend, and now DH wants to invite some neighbors over later to help finish off some chocolate cake I made.  So, the rest of the cleaning I wanted to put off now has to get done.  Sigh.  I washed and waxed the car and vaccuumed it and washed the windows, cleaned the driveway, stained a retaining wall (small one), 5 loads of laundry washed, dried and hung up, and cleaned two of the bathrooms since yesterday.  But there's still a lot to go that I was hoping to catch up on over the next few 90-degree days where I can't do the outside stuff.  Better get to that if he's inviting people over.  I do want to see more of their 2 week old baby though so it will be fun!

Glenda - hang in there, before you know it all of you will be in that nice house and laughing back on your current situation.

Yumm... Food on a stick. Have fun at the fair!
At the New Mexico State Fair we have my absolute favorite food on a stick, it's called a Chili Relleno Dog. It's a bit of a spin off of our traditional chili relleno, it's a whole green chili with cheese on the inside then stuffed with a wiener on a stick and then deep fried in an amazing batter. Oh, I'm going to miss the fair this year.

I'm spending the weekend with my parents which really means I'm spending the weekend with Gizmo. If the weather stays as nice as it has been I think we are going to go for a short hike later this evening.

Going out with my sister for lunch in a bit, then going back to work, but it's good stuff. We're gonna take one last swim before the kid goes back to school tomorrow.
