2 pages of chat already! I still need some coffee.

I'm on my 5th cup of coffee. Yes, at one point I quit coffee and stayed away from it for months. Now, I've fallen off the wagon. I'm a caffeine junkie. The problem is the anxiety issues are back as well as the stomach issues. Quitting cigarettes was easy (just simply stopped smoking one day, never had withdrawals).

Paige, I understand your panic, but congratulations!! Regardless of what you choose to do, this is great recognition for your hard work. I'm sorry that your decision is being complicated, but I am sending you tons of good thoughts for THE RIGHT THING, whatever that may be. And who knows, there may be more than one "right answer." :)

Big Smile GOOD MORNING ALL!!!! Big Smile

Sounds like cheerful is in order here!!!!

Good news...... had jury duty this morning, Judge dismissed us due to defendant not showing up to court.  Thankful for that as we were told he was accused of rape.  OMG, I know it was my duty but that would have been a tough one to sit on.  As it is his bond will be revoked and he will be in really big trouble now.

It was 65 degrees this morning so I walked the 2 blocks back to the parking garage from the courthouse...it was soooo nice.   Still no rain, if you guys know a really good rain dance, Wink send me the steps we are so dry here.

    Gotta get to work now,

    Hugs to everyone!!!!!

I couldn't have said it better. I hope things work out just the way you want them too though. Sending good vibes for Gracie too.

Tina - I felt uncomfortable just reading about your phone call. I would definitely take every opportunity to mention your friend. Don't be afraid to embellish a little too. If he's just looking for a friend, he won't care. If he's looking for something more, he should get the message.

I was off yesterday so today was my first commute day since school started back up. I do NOT understand why there is such a drastic difference. Do moms or dads take the summer off? It's not like all these kids are driving themselves to school nor do I drive by a bunch of schools. I don't get it but 50 min's to go 16 miles is beyond ridiculous. If I can, I'm going to try leaving earlier and work a 7:30-4:30 schedule.

I am beyond irritated this morning. I got an email that just really rubbed me the wrong way. Boy - you have SURE picked the wrong girl to mess with! I am not taking this sitting down, and have no problem if this gets ugly!

Hopefully, we wont be so busy at work tonight. Had all sorts of animals hooked up to IV's (5, to be exact) appointments up in wazoo, surgeries, xrays - we were slammed! We're doing a kitty transfusion today, and one of my shelter kitties gets to be the donor, I'm pretty excited about that! That said, though, I'd like to NOT leave work an hour late tonight! I was exhausted last night!

Also - if anyone could spare some vibes for one of our patients, Star, she's pretty sick. I meant to mention it last night, but it slipped my mind. She ate a box of toothpicks, but we xrayed and don't think that's the real issue Sad she's the sweetest boxer-girl....thanks!

Ouch toothpicks!! Poor star. I hope she comes out ok

Good thoughts for Star! I adore Boxers. I've been smitten with them since I first saw one do a kidney bean wiggle/dance!

Tina - definitely listen to your gut. I've learned the hard way that my gut is 99.999% right.

For my useless tip of the day, coffee is much better ingested than worn. I'm really glad I work at home....(at least the coffee had gone lukewarm and wasn't fresh and hot!)

Today is ending on a better note. I got some stuff at work squared away. My conference call was kinda pointless; they weren't ready to hear the suggestions I have, so we'll have another in a few weeks. It's all good though. I really wasn't on top of my game anyway! It's also looking really nice outside, so I can't wait to take Ari out for our walk.

Wow. So I finally got the nerve to go ask questions about my neighbor. The only person there was a lady from a clean up crew. They neighbors are gone, moved to fl or something she said. They put a price on everything in the house for their estate sale and sent everything else to auction. Talk about sudden. 2 weeks ago they were sitting on their deck enjoying their fountains and stuff. Now they are gone and sold everything. The lady said maybe it was a bank repo but she didn't really know. It certainly sounds like that might be it. However, the there are no condemnation notices on the windows or anything like you would normally see. Weird. I hope someone "respectable" buys the house. This neighborhood is on shaky ground right now, on the verge of sliding in to the abyss of low income rentals (and all the problems that come with that).

Good vibes for Gracie and Star!

Cheerful vibes for the grumpy gus's out there :)

My favorite coffee thermos seems to not be dispensing coffee fast enough!  Gimme coffee!  I have quit coffee several times but it always gets me back!

Started (home)school today. Kids did well.  It's amazing that kids spend, what?, 8 hours at school attempting to accomplish the same things we did in 3 hours?  Super!  DS was a bit distracted, but I was expecting his brain to not quite be with it after a lovely long summer vacation.   The lessons flowed smoothly, so far so good.

My darling Echo is crashed and out on the floor by my feet.  She was wondering why we weren't playing with her this morning and what was up with all the books and crayons?  She brought me 2 cars from Noah's room, a roll of tape, a stuffed dog from Evoli's room and her squeaky raccoon while we did school.   "We canz play?"  "Momma??"   "See I has dis now!" "Momma?"   The look in her eyes said it all. LOL

My 'stalker' neighbor cruised by the house at least twice (that I saw and dh saw).  He loads his kids up in the van and drives by.  The thing is- he'll stop and talk to ME but Saturday DH and 2 other neighbor guys were standing in the garage talking and creepy guy drove right past them. He's back to texting me and I've been ignoring me.  I am thinking about unfriending him on FB but that will start a whole new "what's up blah blah" conversation...

Going to hit the farmer's market tonight- woot!

School here is 9-3. Only six hours. And there are more than 2 kids in a class. Samantha just started kindergarten 2 weeks ago. She has class where she learns to write and read. She has music, gym, arts, practical living, computers once a week and there is recess somewhere in there everyday. There is also lunch and snack time in there. Samantha LOVES school. She had a little cough today and we asked if she wanted to stay home but NO WAY!! She took her medicine which she hates(the mucinex kind anyways) and before now would clamp her mouth shut and put her hands over her mouth. Would literally take 30 minutes to get a little bit in her. But she wasnt gonna miss school and opened right up today.

OK guys....time to cross stuff again!  We are looking at a house on Thursday at 6:15.  These people have only owned the house for 4 years....they are now living in DC and haven't been able to sell so they are looking for long term tennants.  The house is AWESOME from the pics on the web.  So, please keep stuff crossed that they will accept us!

On the more good news front, we are moving the RV to the campsite NEXT to the one we are in now.  We would have to move from this one Friday morning for the weekend and then come back on Monday....pain in the you know what.....and a really LARGE site is available NOW.  Nice and big, and very level.  Will start moving things over nowish and by the time DH gets home from work will just be a matter of moving the actual RV.  Whooot!!!

Most of the people I know who homeschool (and I do know a few) do have to spend more than three hours a day on lessons. That said, they have had older kids so perhaps that makes a difference. Public/Private schools also have to factor in lunch, recesses/breaks, etc and teach a lot more kids.

I need go run errands, but I'm woefully unmotivated
