Somebody send me an assistant, Stat!  I have entirely too much to do in a very tiny timeframe.  EEEEKKKK!

    Good vibes to all!

I've always heard that a tornado sounds like a freight train rushing at you.

Dogs were a bit antsy this morning after DH left for work.  I think because a lot of the campers near us were getting ready to leave and  were rather noisy.  Nothing big or terribly bad, just had to hush them a few times.  But, considering the number of other dogs who were barking and really carrying on, guess that I shouldn't complain about my crew.

House hunting did not go well yesterday.  The perfect house is out there for us, we just have to find it.  And both Todd and I are pretty convinced that we'll find it by a sign posted in the yard or on the window.  But, this weekend, apparently, we didn't look in the right place.

Rainy and overcast here today....started raining yesterday and seems to be just about finished raining, but I really do enjoy the cooler weather that comes along with it.  And just imagine!!  Rain without horrible electrical storms!  Such a concept!  It's really kind of pleasant hearing the rain on the roof when I don't have to worry about getting zapped!

Hope everyone has a great Monday!!

    Good morning all

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

We woke up this morning to a much cooler 72 degrees.  We wont be getting over 95 this week, woohoo!  Still no rain :(  but 10 degrees difference will be so nice.

Lots going on this week,  got called for jury duty have to report in the morning.

Spent 2 years researching and saving for a new refrigerator.  Finally bit the dirt and ordered it 3 weeks ago.   At my age I was going for that "last" new frig.   It was supposed to be delivered Friday  well.....the guy I got it from left for a "NEW" job.  He neglected to "jot down" my delivery, I took the afternoon off for the delivery and spent most of my evenings last week preparing for the delivery.  When they were 1/2 hour late I call and thats when I found out about the new job, not scheduled, and of all things my new frig is not even in AR and wont be til next week, grrrrrr!  The Manager of the store says he will make it up to me, lol!

    Gotta run for now,

Hugs if you need them, have a good day!

ETA:  I love GabbyG!   Glenda Happy House Hunting!

Happy house hunting, Glenda! I know how hard it is with multiple dogs!

Starting to get organized for DS's homeschool. It's partially online, and it looks liek since today is the day they 'opened up the books' everyone wants on to see their classes and I keep getting booted.  Going to put in a call about that soon to see what's going on there.  Kindof annoying,,, grumble grumble.  Though I'm excited to start as is DS (and dd with her preschool)

I'm also needing some major rip'm tear'm dog toys for Echo!  She is such an aggressive chewer that she broke off a huge chunk of a beef leg bone! So THAT's out! Ugh.   She had her 530am walk and still bouncing off the walls.

THe poodle story (from the breeder) had a happy ending and also the little black toy poodle that was at the shelter was adopted this weekend too :) Yay!   So I'm feeling very happy about 2 lives saved.   I got an emmail back from the breeder who thanked me and said she wouldn't forget my kindness - how sweet is that! :)

That's it from foggy Cali.  THere are rumors that the sun exists, however I can't be too sure!!

OMG I am so beyond proud of myself right now. I USED POWER TOOLS! Hear me roar!!

I gave in and ordered an otterbox (big thick case) for my iPhone. The problem is, I have a bunch of non-Apple chargers that wouldn't fit with the stupid case! (FH lost his original *sigh* and my car charger is a cheap-o brand too). So, I was upset for a minute and then I had an idea. A BRILLIANT IDEA. We have an old dremmel and a 134 piece accessory kit that I've been meaning to list on ebay in our hall closet. So I got that bad boy out, found a bit that looked like it would work, and went to town, LOL. I did the car charger first, since I figured that was non-essential. Worked!! So I did the wall charger and that worked too!! Future-FIL and I were talking about this last night so I called him and told him about my idea and he goes, 'You used power tools?!....do you still have all your FINGERS?!' LOL.

I put the dremmel down before I got the urge to try it on the dog's nails. I think this one is too high-powered, it goes REALLY fast, much faster than the dremmels I've seen groomers use. The urge is still there though. Must. Not. Maim. Dogs.

    I like GabbyG.

Glenda, did you check craigslist for houses to rent? That's how we found this place.

I stopped in at the humane society I used to work at today. The people I don't get along with were off, so I figured while I was across the street - might as well go see some old friends! They have a lot of really nice dogs right now... I almost miss working there. Almost...

I'm hungry.. *sigh* I think there may be bread so toast is in order.

Today I feel like being productive. So today I put the jug of vinegar outside to heat up and then the blackberries will DIE!! And then scrubbing the floors.. Then it's shower and finish my book..  *yawn* I'm already tired and I haven't even started. Lol.

It is such an accomplishment when you successfully use power tools for the first time.  Nice job, Meg!

Gracie has settled into the nail grinder that I bought from dog.com a few weeks ago.  When I did it yesterday, she actually relaxed (until I got to her back feet) - but progress is good.  I used the stone the first time, this time I used the sandpaper drums.  Maybe by next time when I'm done, she won't run like a racehorse with the gate open.  She was OFF!!

So, I got this position because a woman doing AR was semi-retiring, so they moved this person up to take over her work, and I fill this position.  Now, the woman is fully retiring (because of $$ benefits she loses if she continues to work.)  They've asked me to step up and help take over the remainder of her work.  I feel in a pickle- because if I'm leaving... ugh... At least I feel better that I'm excellent at documenting procedures, so even if I don't stay, I will have thoroughly documented everything I've been trained on so the next person can just pick up and run.

Erica - glad to hear you're finally free!  I'd love to know the whole story if you're up to sharing since I know it was a tough decision for you.  PM me!

Motivation where arrrreeeee youuuu? *sigh* lots to do, but haven't gotten off my butt to do any of it yet...

Truly, happy vacation!! I'm jealous! My vacation can NOT get here fast enough. Do you have big plans?

GabbyG. I approve! (haha, sorry) Gabby seems like a good name for her though from her pics.

The dremel - my dogs are doing pretty good with it. I use easy cheese whenever I bring the dremel out and that helps a lot.  Plus with easy cheese, Lily can't steal bits of it while I'm doing one of the other dogs nails (she's such a sneaky opportunist). I heard the stones were bad though, makes the nails heat up too quickly or something?

I wonder if my neighbor died or something. An older couple lives there and they are (were?) very nice. He was on disability and she was a teacher or something. Anyway, they fixed up their house nice and talked about their plans for their back yard and such so I'm thinking they would be in the house forever. Well, last week a for sale sign was up on the lawn and this weekend they had an estate sale. Everything was sold - beds, furniture, tools, and garage stuff. And then I saw an auction truck loading up what wasn't sold yesterday evening. What's up with that? i haven't seen the husband or wife around either. I hate being the nosy neighbor though so I don't want to pry and go find out...it does make me wonder though!

I think I'd go ask someone.  Wanting to know if someone is OK or not doesn't make you nosy, IMO. Smile

I just went to Target to get some wet jet mop pads and wound up spending $75, but since it's a Super Target I figured I may as well get whatever groceries I needed while I was there.

Cathy, Putah Creek Cafe is directly across the street from the Buckhorn and is owned by the same person. Just MO, but I'd drive to Winters to the PCC before I'd go for the Buckhorn, which for me is just an overpriced steak house - I'm not particularly into big chunks of red meat, so I'd get the chicken or some sort of fish anyway. As soon as I notice that the show is scheduled, I'll let you know. Big Smile

If you know their name, check the online obituaries.  I did that last week, which was how I learned about my old friend Jo Ellen.  Obits are usually archived.

    LMAO! good job!!

    hehe

oh boy, fun fun, been a long time since I've been on here, been way too busy. still have ten million things to do - one of them being building an outdoor pen for my cat ( who wears diapers) her 'area' isn't liking wearing diapers so often. I hate putting her in the bathroom, so  usually jsut diaper her up and let her hang out.

I'm at one of those points where i have zero money but need to do so much stuff, donk vaccinations being one of them - I have to wait til next paycheck. I hate that though, wanting to get it over with & not being able to do much of anything. Going to try to work some overtime, but being around my boss that long might drive me INSANE!!

I tend to agree. We did have a nice dinner but I remember it was pretty pricey. I was just really surprised by what a great looking area it was there. Might take my friend there when she comes to visit.

Oh... I haven't worked there in probably about 2 years... I'm working for a smaller rescue group now....same old, same old there Sad They've got an aussie there I'm trying to pull, so I figured I would stop in and at least meet the dog for a little bit!
