Monday, Monday ... can't trust that day! (chatter)

It's NOT that I'm up early -- it's 2:30 and we just got home so I guess I'll respond to this HERE! (mark your books folks -- Callie starts a mindless chatter thread?? whooo hoo!!)

Callie, I posted this in your birthday thread, but I'm having too much fun watching it, that I'm sharing it here: Pug video

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrIp3k5pJQM

Paige -- I am almost in hysterics here -- THEY DO sound like that sometimes.

Except David and I have always said it's her "sick goat" yell.  But nope -- now I know ... she's channelling bat girl!!

I'm officially one day younger than 24 now ... (c'mon you guys -- I think you all remember that when I hit 40 I started to count bakwards??).  And so far it's been a blast.  The rain held off -- we went to Disney.  The little girl who sat next to us while we watched the Main Street Electrical Parade was ALSO a Tinkerbell fan --

No one expected me to act older nor more mature DID they????  Have a good day folks.  At this point in Floor-da a "good day" means you didn't drive to or from work in a thunderstorm and your front steps aren't mouldy!! (and yeah, I'm serious)

Amanda -- gosh feel better.  Any accident is scarey but one you can't really remember is .... ugh.  I'm so glad you guys pretty much are ok.

Glenda -- laundromats suck.  They just do.

It can't be Monday already. :(    We are supposed to have somewhat cooler temps the next few days.  That would be very nice.  I overdid it outside yesterday and felt kind of wiped out the rest of the day.

Callie, glad you had a good time at Disney but that's a given. lol  :)

    Yes, we are!!!

I have a pounding headache.  I wanted to go into the office today, but I'm not sure that's going to happen.  I can see myself going back to bed pretty soon.

What a nice weekend. Even the weather cooperated. Last night I slept with the windows open for the first time in a month. So nice.

This week is going to be a mixed bag. I have several things at work to get done that I don't want to do. I have my mid-year review. Neiko and I have our level 2 night test and scarlet has her heart surgery. So this week could either go really good or really really bad.

Amanda, I hope you are feeling better

This weekend was super busy, we were barely home lol.  But it was nice.  Today *should* be my boss' last day until around August 16.  I have so much she needs to look at before she leaves though, and she has a whole bunch of new stuff she wants done before she leaves...darn

    Amanda?  GO BACK TO BED!!!!

This is so incredibly frustrating!!  I can't open my email and I can't get to the one site I really NEED to get to this morning.  Have never been a huge fan of AOL, but first it was cheap when I had to have dial up, and now it's free and it gives me a consistent email addy....but, dang it all!  I NEED to see my email this morning.  Mumble, grumble......

Callie, I'm delighted that you had such a nice birthday!

Amanda - take it easy! Callie - your bday sounded like fun :)

I'm starving, but there doesn't seem to be anything to eat! I have random stuff, but nothing I can really combine into any semblance of an edible meal (and I'm pretty good at the odd and ends one pan meal creations lol).  I really need to clean out the refrigerator and reorganize/clean out the cabinets.

I think I might treat myself to a white pizza at the new pizza place. I had it once and it was amazing. However, it is only 8:45 in the morning. They don't open for a few hours *sigh*

Callie - glad you had a good B-day

We cleaned the carpets yesterday, they look so nice this morning.  We actually used white vinegar and hot water instead of the regular steam cleaning solution and they look fab!!  DH was a little skeptical, but even he is happy at the way they turned out.  I have always used vinegar to clean my kitchen floor, bath, etc. but this was the first time on the carpets.  It was amazing how much residual soap was trapped in the carpet!  Hopefully now the mystery stains will stop reappearing now there isn't any soap left to trap the dirt.

Busy week at work and I don't feel like working at all.

P.S. I leave for vacation in 11 days!!  Whoo Hoo!!!!!

I have to ask.. just how do you use a vinegar and water solution in your carpet shampoo'er??

Amanda, girlfriend, you really need to take it easy for a couple of days.  I know it's not in your nature to just lay around and relax, but your head and body went through a traumatic event and you need time to heal.  So be a good girl and go back to bed, mkay ???

Got my hair cut on Friday.  Got up early to run errands and grocery shop since it was so freaking hot on Saturday.  Since I was stuck inside most of the day, I made some really delicious shrimp parmigiano with spaghetti. Yum.  Yesterday, we went to see Inception.  It was a pretty intense movie and since we saw it on the IMAX screen  . . . VERY loud !!!

What ratio do you use?  Glad they look so good, I love things looking nice and clean!

I usually use way less soap than recommended, and sometimes follow up with a water rinse, depending on how thorough I feel like being.  I use oxy clean sometimes, but not necessarily in my machine since the manual says it could hurt it.  go figure.

    so not motivated this morning.....

Callie, I'm glad you liked that.  My trainer posted it - she has mostly Dobes, and then one pug.  I kept watching that and laughing.

I told you Amanda was going to try to go to work.  Stop, drop, and sleep, Amanda!!!  Go rest!

Would anyone mind offering some vibes to Gracie?

She went to get off the couch this morning to go outside and started to do her usual stretch off the couch (front legs on the floor, back legs stretching)  She started to walk her feet out, twice, and instead walked them back and sort of perched her hind end on the couch (as if she was sitting like a person - not a particularly common stance for her).  I'm watching, thinking it's weird, until she goes to stand up her back end on the couch and walk off and does a tiny little whimper.  Then hoists her front legs back onto the couch and stands there for a second before walking the length of the couch to get off.  It's possible a toenail was caught in the blanket - it's got ribbons running through it.  But...  she walks outside like usual (although not a trot like usual) and went outside to potty.  I went upstairs to shower, came down to close the back door and couldn't find her.  Looked all around.  She was in my sister's room, laying on the floor.  She only goes in there when she's scared (thunderstorms).  There was a dumpster truck rumbling around, so maybe... but with her leg/foot thing, I'm concerned.

She stayed there for a few minutes, even when I came out here to tell my boss I'd be late for work (I had to leave right then to catch the bus, or stay with G.  You know which one I chose.)  She trotted back in and hopped onto her chair and is curled up like any other morning.  I went to her K9 aspirin, but now I can't find the damned stuff.  She won't take the Joint Rescue chewables, either.  Please spare a thought that this was just an oddity and that she's ok?

I just wanted to add, that I love the song that the title of this thread refers to, by the Mamas and the Papas!

Nice girls don't kiss and tell...........

It started off with my "annual" doctor appointment, which could have ruined my day, but I didn't let it, even when the exam table started adjusting itself all on its own and I thought I'd be squished in half.  I told the doctor that it was a good icebreaker - nice to know that he was trying to distract me from the task at hand.  We were laughing for the rest of the appointment.

My son managed not to burn the house down and he did feed the cats and scoop the litter boxes.

Amanda, take it easy today!  Car accidents are no fun and you'll hurt a lot worse over the next few days.

Congrats Glenda & Todd!  I was very happy to read your great news!

Barb, glad to read your mom's new hairdresser got the thumb's up. Hopefully your stress level has decreased a bit.

On a sad note, our little shelter had to euth 12 dogs last week.  I wasn't there Sunday, but I would guess it was in part due to space issues (only 34 kennels) and not enough adoptions.  An old male beagle and a 7 year old overweight female black Lab mix are both missing from the website and not on the adopted list, which really saddens me.  Run free doggies, all 12 of you.
