Back from NY, whew I was so busy there, some fun things, some not so fun things, all in all a rare thing in that I believe I accomplished all the things I wanted to (+some) while there.

Had an asthma attack on Saturday morning my chest is still awful, just want to go to bed but things to do.

Jackie how is your puppy doing?

Oh and for a change its hot again here LOL - they complained in NY but it really wasn't too bad - heading for 104* today here and that is a humid 104*

I just downloaded the 2009 Rally ratings, from Front and Finish, and burst into tears. Emma was the #1 Parson Russell Terrier, last year. So bittersweet. Bean was the #6 Crested, in combined, the #1 Crested, in Novice, and the #6 toy dog in Novice. This year, she, too, will be #1.

Oh, that is just FANTASTIC!!!!  I'm so glad for you.  The #1!  How awesome!!!  (((hugs)))) for you.

(PS, how/where did you download them?)

Amanda, do you know how your friend is doing?  Gracie sends quick Dober-kisses, since those help in healing head injuries.  Speaking of behaving yourself in the hospital, it's too bad you didn't have those patriotic bedazzled undies to show off in the ER....

Got them from frontandfinish.com. They were $12 for each set. Mayday was the #1 Dobe!!!

Little too much fiber in those paper towels, handsome!!! Maybe some pumpkin would help? I hope he feels better, soon.

Lol, damn those paper towels!!!!!!! I will give him a little pumpkin.....do sweet potatoes do the same thing as pumpkin? We have some here I bought from our farmers market I wouldn't mind giving them to Apollo (I don't like them, DH does, haha).

No -- I use sweet potato as the base for my dog food -- so no, it's not gonna bind him up NOR act as a laxative.  Sorry!! LOL.

I love sweet potato but I"m a true Northerner -- butter, salt & pepper on mine please -- NO sweet junk or cinna mon ugh

She's doing great and keeping me busy, busy!   Karen, I'm glad your trip went well.  Sorry about your asthma attack and the lack of chance to rest.

I'm really wanting to take a nap but I have too much to do and my weekend is quickly coming to an end. :(

Callie, I posted this in your birthday thread, but I'm having too much fun watching it, that I'm sharing it here: Pug video

Also, I'm a salt/pepper/butter kind of sweet potato consumer, too, but we have a sweet potato souffle recipe that rocks... lots of brown sugar.

I'm with Callie.....keep the sweet stuff OUT of my sweet taters!

After the sister wars yesterday was NOT in a stellar mood when I headed out to the laundramat to begin with.  Got there and had to park in the handicapped spot to unload, and then move the truck wayyyyyyy far away.  What the heck???  It was before noon on Sunday so those people should have still been in church for crying out loud!!  Mobbed and the most unruly children I've ever seen.  Forget teaching abstinence in schools....just make teenage girls hang out in the laundramat for a few hours.  Then had to hit WallyWorld for milk since the Winn Dixie was OUT of low fat.  What kind of grocery runs out of milk????  AND, it's pouring rain.  Buckets full of it.  So I'm soaked.

Can I have a do over on today please?

Amanda - I hope you're doing okay today and can upate use soon. You have way too much excitement in your life and not always the good kind.

I left early yesterday morning and drove 2 1/2 hrs to my brothers's for my nieces' baby shower. It was really fun and the weather there was beautiful. After the shower, my brother and nephew's came back from golfing and we BBQ'd and sat outside talking, eating and drinking wine until very late. I then couldn't sleep well and was up at the crack of dawn. I just go home and I'm whipped but very glad I went.

My brother and SIL just did a huge gut and remodel and the place looks absolutely amazing. They've decided it's too big for them and and are going to stay permanently in the house in Carmel, so this one is now up for sale for $4.1 million. I knew it was a very pricey area but my job dropped when they told me. Wow!!

Slept in, woke up to kill some ants (that were coming into an area where there was no food...they just milled around aimlessly...curse you desert pests!). Ogled pics of the puppy I covet and now we're getting ready to give the dogs breakfast and grab some lunch and Benedryl for Ginger. (she has an allergy pill and it's doing nothing for whatever is currently making her itchy. We've bathed her, she's on untreated noncarpet floors that I've even cleaned with a natural cleaner since installing..no idea what's causing the Elf to itch)

Might I just add......thank you ever so much Miss Lock (2nd grade teacher) for instilling such a terror of thunder storms in me that I'm ready to run back and hide under the bed.AngryStorm

Way to go Emma, Bean, & Mayday!

I am finally home!  It took FOREVER to get out of that place.  I'm not sure what, exactly, happened.  A truck ran a red light & T-boned us.  My friend says that my head bounced off the center console, & I lost consciousness for a few minutes.  I don't remember the accident at all.  I still have a headache, and, at the moment, I hurt all over.

My friend is ok.  She saw the car about to hit us, & reached accross to put her arm in front of me, (funny how dog owners & parents instantly do this)  Her arm was broken when the airbag deployed.  Otherwise, she has some burns from the airbag, but nothing major.

Tell Gracie thanks for the dober-kisses.  I'm sure that she was much gentler than Bev & Cher were with their kisses. Indifferent

Bev has appointed himself my protector.  He just told DH that he was getting a little too close to "our" space.  That's my dog.

Glad to hear that you and your friend are okay Amanda. I was going to ask if any of the dogs were with you. Since you hadn't mentioned them, I figured they were okay, but I knew you were planning on bringing someone with you this weekend. Rest and get better - I'm sure Bevo and Cher lovin's are better than any ol' medicine. :)

I'm so glad to hear that you are more or less ok Amanda.  And your friend as well.
