    Toozday chat

Not much excitement here except for the big downpour we had last night.

Deb, did you ever get to the bottom of what was going on with Jamison?

My mind is blank again this morning, except for thoughts I can't really post here.

Did we get a big downpour last night? It is so humid I can hardly stand it.

Very envious of your downpour!  we still haven't had any rain - think it is about 6 weeks since we had measurable rainfall.  Hoping we get some storms today.

Bugsy, my personal trainer, made me do interval training today.  Sure he can sleep the rest of the day, I'm exhausted and have tons to do LOL  I'm trying to tell myself that his energy and return of full tilt mode means his legs are feeling good.  He isn't usually so energetic in the heat.

Things went really well yesterday some HUGE changes may happen in my work life if it works out.  I'm on the fence whether this is good or bad.....................stress remains but less so

So we decided to go out for a casual meal last night for our anniversary, I was fried and it was Monday.  Well due to miscommunication  DH drove into downtown when i thought we were going to our favorite Mexican restaurant which is in the other direction.  Long story short we tried some place we'd heard good things about - lets just say it was a bit too casual LOL We just kept chuckling, memorable anyway Wink

OK best get tucked in to the list of things to get done before lunch

I am having angry feelings.  A puppy I don't know personally is suffering because of an inept animal shelter who said an adult foster dog was "fine w/other dogs".  The dog was in foster care when he attacked the puppy and put him in critical condition (broken bones in his face, etc.  We're talking about a roughly 13? week old puppy.)  Transport came to retrieve the foster dog and was strongly warned to use the utmost caution while handling this dog.  Transport helper didn't listen and the dog attacked her dog, who is also in critical condition now (if he's still alive).  DDDDAMMIT, that makes me mad.  I own a breed where DA is not uncommon, and fully support the right to own dogs that "should be only dogs".  But some fool knew how dangerous that dog was and dumped him at a shelter for someone else to deal with.  He could have killed that puppy.

Ok, end rant.  Spare a prayer for baby Hades?  He had a rough start in life before he ended up in his rescue home, prior to this attack.  He's looking remarkably good so far - poor baby.

PS, it smells like onions near my desk because of a co-worker's breakfast.  I hate onions.  I'm particularly pissed.  I've sprayed lysol and it still smells.  Grrrr

Poor Hades! Hope he gets well fast!

Sorry about the onions. I had those red onions on a salad last night and had the worst onion breath overnight- It kept waking me up LOL  (yes I brushed and flossed before bed).  SInce I didn't clean the kitchen either last night, it had a pungent onion smell also.  Put me off onions for a while!

Dh finally convinced me to roll out of bed and take the dogs for a walk before he leaves for work (so he can stay with DS an DD).  Talk about a sleepy neighborhood.  No signs of life, it was eerie!

Beginning to get organized to start the school year.  ALthough, I am enjoying summer vacation a little too much!

    I love the beach.

I had planned to sleep late, but I was awake by 5:30 this morning. I decided to make the most of it & took the dogs for a run. I forgot that Chyna can't make it too far & about a mile & a half later, she was done. I ended up having to carry her back to the house. When we got back inside, she was hit with a new burst of energy & ran zoomies through the house. She's a crazy old dog.

Happy Anniversary Karen...I saw your pictures yesterday on FB...but am in the office and couldn't post there.  Big brothers always watching.  LOL  Best wishes on the new coaching gig.  Hope you had a very nice and romantic evening!

Hope all is well this Toozday.  I didn't get a chance to keep up with the chat yesterday.

    RIP Mr. Steinbrenner.

Paige....good thoughts for little Hades.  Passing you a virtual fan so the onion stench goes elsewhere.

Yikes, Amanda.  How much does Chyna weigh?  She seems like a pretty big dog.  That must have been quite the workout !!!

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.  I can just see tiny Amanda carrying her 60lb boxer a mile and a half.  You da' woman!

    ((((Paige))))

Onions affect your breath, true, but the odor also comes out through your pores, much the same as garlic and alcohol.

OMG - Lysol and onions Ick!

We've been blessed with 2 wonderfully mild days. I think we're only supposed to hit high 80s today but then we warm up and it'll be 100+ for a few days.

I didn't sleep well over the weekend and I'm sure it was because DH was working. I made up for it last night though. Poor guy hurt his back at work though and looked to be in a lot of pain this morning :(

One of the construction guys working outside my office asked me if the noise was too much this morning. I thought that was nice but wondered what he'd have said if I'd have said "yes" Wink. I've actually gotten used to it and hardly notice it much.
