Nicole, we're going to use it for human & dog consumption. The guy saw it get struck, & we had the meat quartered & in coolers within about an hour of dying, so there's not much of a chance of it being spoiled. I did do away with some of the ribs on the side where it was struck, because they looked partially cooked.
All of the meat fit into the 13 cubic foot freezer. I had to transfer things to different freezers to make it fit, but I got it all in.

SO, I have to ask - does the fresh stuff smell any better than the canned?
Not the stuff I got - it smelled worse (which I hadn't imagined was possible)
Oh no, It'much worse than the canned.
