    I can't believe I did it!

I really counted on my DH to be the voice of reason, but when I told him about a dog on petfinder that I couldn't stop thinking about he told me to apply!!!  I guess he felt bad for Roxy, too- watching her play all winter in the yard, throwing frozen poops up in the air to herself (all her balls are buried in the snow).  Either that or he must really miss me when I take her to the dog park for hours every weekend so she can play with other dogs.  Or maybe he thinks the poor cats need a break...Well, for whatever reason he thinks Roxy needs a playmate too, so we applied for Dolly (Tanker is getting old and only wants to play about two minutes every day).  Here she is (I hope I can post the link):

I don't see Beagle in that face, I see Spaniel.  If she is a BC/Spaniel mix, and otherwise has a nice attitude, TAKE HER!!!!!!
My dog with similar background has been the heart dog of a lifetime, and I suspect that had I not just gotten a new Aussie pup, this black & white girl would be way high on my list to grab LOL. (Spaniel temperament and BC smart - perfecto)

Sandra, she's aDORable!   I really hope that Roxy likes her.

What a cutie!! I really hope that you are able to get her being that your like her guardian angel after all that she's been through.  Best wishes and let us know how things work out.

She looks more like a spaniel to me, too.  Reminds me of the springer spaniel my neighbors had when I was growing up.  He was such a great dog!

Roxy loves all dogs, as long as they want to play, play, play!  I'm more worried about Tanker's reaction, as he never likes any dog the first time he meets them.  I think he may feel the need to prove his dominance with other dogs, then he is fine (with most dogs, anyway- he doesn't tend to like dogs bigger than him or GSDs or huskies, for some reason).  I'm hoping that because Dolly is smaller and female he will except her.  He was fine when he met Roxy, but she was only a pup...

I'll just have to let things play out- I'm a big believer in fate.

My first thought was springer spaniel too!  28 pounds?  That's such a cute size!!!  Good luck to you!

Oh my goodness, I teared up reading her story.  To think that such a lovely girl almost didn't make it. [:(]

On the bright side, yay you!!  And good luck.  Can't wait to hear more about her! [:)
