Proof positive that the SO and I are not imaging things lol when we say Ari has matured quite a lot. My Mom couldn't get over how Ari just laid in bed with her while she read. When she was a pup, that NEVER would have happened lol. Don't get me wrong, Ari is still a nut and is likely more dog than some can handle, but compared to what she used to be like

I remember when you first joined the forum and were wondering if Ari would ever settle down. Isn't it great to realize how far you've all come? :)

I dream of that day with Zoey!! LOL

weekend was WAY too short, mostly cuz yesterday I laid on the hidabed with friends watching movies recovering from our 'way too fun' night at a friends how ( pass the gatorade and pedialyte LOL) . It least we were responsible, I talked them all into getting a cab ride over there. We live in a semi rural area, not many cabs around LOL. But I'm happy no one was on the road even if they thought they were' cool to drive'.

Yes, but had way too much fun, mostly cuz my Best friend is finally getting back to her old self, so there was lots of dancing and being crazy. lol.

Its way too hot already, we were being teased with all the cool weather & rain, now it's freaking hot and my system is like 'holy hell!!' BF managed to get the larger pool pump running, so we've been shocking the pool & getting it ready ( its a little dinky pool, but it works), so I'm 99% sure that's where I'll be after work!! LOL.

I really wanna take Zoey in it, but man does she have sharp little nails! and I swear she's 100% muscles, she's stinking strong, all 30lbs of her.

Finally got an appt with the dentist, i hate the dentist, but I hate the bill even more. I'm pretty sure a filling fell out, and I've been freaking out over it for awhile, I know i just need to go in and get it dealt with, before i have to buy another *tooth* I'm sure fixing it would be cheaper, I def learned my lesson with the last one! UGH i hate the dentist.

We had a long wait at the doctor's office today.  Two people got mad and left which was good for us because it put us that much ahead. lol  Staples are out and he can start a normal diet at the end of the week.  No return to work till next week and no driving or straining.......We had to stop and get ice cream to help Charles recover from the crushing news about no cooking. lol  The doctor really didn't want him going back to work next week and reminded Charles of the possibility of a hernia if he tears any stitches loose. :( I didn't tattle on him about mowing the lawn.  Over all, a good checkup.

I have a pounding headache and I think I'll go lay down and see if it goes away.

Good luck on your test Paige.

Julie, sorry your feeling so crummy.  I would have said no to the videotaping too at the doctor visit.   Have a nice, relaxing evening and take it easy.  I don't know if that's in your vocabulary. lol

glad to hear all went well at the Doc Jackie

really someone needs to explain to B that lying in the sun when the thermometer says 106* isn't prudent

I'll explain it to Bugsy if you will tell Harry the same.  He apparently doesn't believe me. Confused

Swap is hopefully coming soon...they have some new requirements for hosting, and I'm short one rating to qualify (even though I've hosted before...hmmm).  I sent them an email over the weekend, didn't get a response, so I just posted on their Facebook wall and got a response right away.  Funny how that works...  Anyway, hopefully they'll be unlocking my hosting ability shortly!

Just let me know when you are ready for the swap

Turtles are very significant to me so I'm feeling like something really positive must be on the way

THAT seems like a really good thing!!  Good wishes for you, Karen.

Thanks for the focus vibes, all.  Turned out the test was only about 30% of what the practice exam was.  I did ok on most of it - I can't worry about it now, it's done.  (Although I did catch where one of her equations wasn't balanced, and she's the kind of instructor who might give extra credit points for noticing that.)

Tina, awesome for the guy calling back!  I just wanted to offer one little nugget (ignore at will)... if you're analyzing every move now before things get really started, you may REEEAALLY analyze as things progress and get more involved.  So, only you can choose if you're ready to feel your way through this, instead of thinking your way through the steps ahead of time so you can anticipate every next move... (I think you know where I'm going w/this.  Wink)

Julie and Cathy, sorry for the boss conflicts... (esp for the PMS'y feelings, Julie).

I'm feeling a little better.  My sister decided to fly back to WA to deal w/her tenant, which means I get the house (and truck) to myself until Friday... thank goodness.  I need a little breathing space. PLEASE let me get a job that starts on Monday, so we aren't home together next week.

Sassy was like that when she was hypothyroid. I could never understand how she could stand it. Now she's a wimp like me and wants shade and coolness at all times.

Jackie - I'm so glad that Charles had a good check-up. Seems like a waste of a good headache if there's no cooking allowed tho ;) - hope you feel better.

We posted an opening for a teacher position in San Diego on Friday and the ad says to fax the application to me. I've gotten quite a few but I've also gotten phone calls. I'm not answering because I'm otherwise swamped with work and don't have time to tell them that I can't answer 1/2 their questions, but I can tell by caller ID that one keeps calling. She's called and left a msg once and since then has called 4 times. I'm in the kind of mood where I want to shred her application for being so annoying. Anothe one left a msg to call her back to let her know I got it. Sorry, but no. I realize people want to follow-up and I've done the same but I'm a one woman show here and up to my eyeballs in other work. Okay, end of my unreasonable rant and back to work.

Yay for good doctor visits.  Now listen to the doctor Mr. Jackie..No strenuous activities...that means no lawn mowing.  Stick out tongue

Years ago, when DH and I were caregivers for his grandparents (both in their 90s), we would have to frequent the doctors office.  More times than not, both of them would say (after 15 minutes or so):  "Lets go...I'm not waiting any longer...next time he can wait for me."  *sigh*

Cathy, these people need to understand how to follow directions.  That is annoying, and I've been known to put those at the bottom of the pile.  Indifferent

    • Gold Top Dog

Cathy, that's annoying...I've been there.  We posted an ad in the paper for job openings (we had to as part of qualifying for a Visa program), so the day the ad ran, I was screening my calls all day, just due to the sheer volume of calls.  The same number would pop up over and over again; back to back calls, not leaving messages.  MANY people did this.  Who does that to a business???  Leave. A. Message.

Does anyone know about solar lights?  I put out a bunch of them a few weeks ago, and some of them don't want to work.  I changed the batteries in the non-working ones, and they're in sunny areas, so I'm not sure why they don't want to come on at night.  Anyone know what else might be going on with them?  I bought them a year ago, and they'd been sitting in my garage all that time waiting for us to have the yard ready to put them outside, so it's way too late to exchange them.

Last time his thyroid was fine - I'll be getting him checked again soon anyway.  I don't think that's it he just misses sunning which he loves to do

Fig tree planted - digging red clay isn't that fun

So I was just in the kitchen looking for a little treat for me and you know who comes thundering in.  I decide its late enough and he can do his end of the night business.  I send him out but he stays on the deck and watches me put a spoon of yogurt in his bowl (end of the night business with no rabbit chases etc is always rewarded with a spoon of cottage cheese or yogurt).  he goes out of my immediate sight but I see him around the corner still on the deck.

he comes back to the porch door to come in - me um no way mister do your business.  Sigh, harumph. he goes out pees then POOPS then comes in.  Would have been a long night Mr B had you not taken care of things LOL

Each one is separate (not connected to each other).  I guess we'll have to check the wires or something inside the ones that aren't working.  Of 18 lights, 4 aren't working at all, and one is "blinking."

    WhoooHoooo! Go Tina!!

    iluvjamison

I would have just pierced Mr. Amanda's nipple while at the plastic surgeons and killed two birds with one stone.

LMAO!!! He would have NEVER agreed to that. He is sooo not a nipple piercing kinda guy.

Paige, I'm sorry about getting passed over. I know that your time is coming.

I'm glad that Charles is on the road to recovery. He deserves ice cream daily for the "No cooking" instructions. Poor guy. :(

Cathy, I hate it when applicants keep calling & emailing over & over. I usually "lose" all of their info.

Barbara, thank you for your comment last night. I decided to go ahead & go to see my grandmother. There was a huge blowup, & eventually the police were called. They determined that I was the "sane" one in the arguement, so they told my mother to pipe it down, or leave. My grandmother's kidneys have shut down. Dialysis is no longer effective, so she is being kept comfortable but there's not much else that can be done.  I am not really sure what I should do.  I would love to be there, but I'm not up to fighting with my mother.

What are you going to school for? Your story reminds me of high school chemistry class. The teacher gave us this super complicated equation to balance. He gave us 15 minutes and said if anyone could balance it, they got an automatic A for the class. Geeked Yes, I'm a nerd. I was the only one to do it.

Super awesome job vibes on the way!

ahaha! yep, it's my Chem class - which sometimes reminds me of stuff from HS, but that was 15 years ago, so it's like learning it all over again. Geeked I'm on the cusp between an A and an A- (I'm about 0.35 from an A), and I really wanted to do well on this test to earn the A for the class.

Amanda, I'm sorry for the experience last night - sounds awful!  I cannot imagine the amount of heartache that has been placed on you because of someone else's issues. (I recall an awful comment about your cousin, too.)  Sending wishes for peace in the moments that will greet your grandmother in the days ahead.
