FH and I have had a productive day.  He, with the help of my dad, made our dog run half the size!  It might sound strange to make it smaller, but it was HUGE.  It was also a pain in the butt to cut the grass (the gates aren`t big enough to get the riding lawnmower in).  Now it is a great size, still big enough for Timmy and Sadie to run zoomies, but not huge.  I stayed inside most of the day and cleaned the house and did laundry and organzied.

We are making a giant pot of spaghetti sauce right now.  We usually make a giant batch and add our own things but use premade canned sauce as a base, but this time I had a bunch of tomatoes and a couple cans of tomatoes, so it is really from scratch!  I am hungry.

I have also been researching our honeymoon and trying to figure out what to do.  We have decided to scale it back and just go somewhere south for relatively cheap.  The extra money is better used for renos before we put the house on the market next year.  I have been looking at all inclusives in Mexico - they seem pretty cheap for some nice resorts.  I am scared that with an all inclusive we will be annoyed at the sheer number of people there and lack of adventures to go on though.  I am trying to find some resorts with off resort excursions we can do as well.  FH suggested we go to San Diego and go to the zoo, but I thought that after the fifth day exploring the zoo, the sixth and seventh might get a bit boring.  Indifferent

So, what is it about nascar races and poor dental care? I saw a lot of missing teeth today.

Advertising.... dip and chew rot your teeth.

Hey Gina, I forgot to mention, there was a Leonberger in my class (layed down during sits, though, so they didn't Q)  And a beagle took HIT & High Combined - she gave me some tips on Gracie and complimented us twice on how well she did, which meant a lot to me coming from her.  Meanwhile, there was this awesome woman with Borzois in the Rally ring who had these GIGANTIC circle glasses on.  Looked like something from Scooby Doo, and she was suuuch a nice lady!!  The German Pinscher probably scored best in heeling, but both days lost it in the sits & downs both days.  Gracie lost her points in lagging a bit - and failed to respond quickly enough when she was distracted by some chaos behind us.  Oh well.  Maybe we can do bumper legs - it would be nice to aim for a HIT at least once, but I think that needs to wait for when we've had some formal classes again.  Considering it's been a year and a half since any training classes, I think 193.5/193 were not bad.  Leaves room for improvement, though.

Wendy just got schooled in 'too rough' by a certain white dog. Am I a bad mom if I thought it was a little funny?

If that makes you a bad mom, I'm cooked because I laugh my butt off when one of our little guys tells someone off for bad behavior

Barbara, is Papa's the place with the pool right there on the lake? I ate somewhere, on lake Conroe, when Brutus was at Gulf Coast for AIHA. If that's the place that I'm thinking about, their stuffed jalapenos were great.

And watch the crack of Dawn jokes

AYYYYYAYYYYYYAYYYYYYY, that was soooooo not what I was thinking!

you might be rather grouchy if your nipple were surgically reattached. Buy your DH something nice while you're out....maybe a Madonna style metal bra?

Very true, Glenda. Of course, had he listened in the first place, there would be no nipple issues.

Charles and Rick can be pouty together...and I think Charles should pick up Amanda's DH on the way and they can all be pouty and whiny together.

Can we send them away on a guy's retreat for a week or so. Rowdy is driving me nuts!

Way to go Paige, & Gracie!!!

Today must be the day for male pissy-ness. Rowd & I are arguing as well.

Charles, I feel your pain. I got shot down this morning as well. I am what you call a "high drive bitch" & I don't get shot down. Ever. So, I was pissed, & decided to go shopping.

I called five girlfriends in hopes that I could get one or two to go with me. I needed a new swimsuit, & I always like to have someone along for an outside opinion. I'm not sure how I got so lucky, but all of them agreed to go!!! I was so excited. We can never get everyone together at once, so it was a great surprise to have everyone go.

I still didn't get a swimsuit, but we had a great time having lunch together, & chatting. The only downside to marriage & kids, that I have found, is not being able to get together with my girls more often.

When I got home, DH was pissy because I "left him alone all day." I probably could have been kinder with my response, but I was still annoyed with him from this morning.

My grandmother hasn't been doing well, & the rehab facility where she is staying called my family in because they don't think that she's going to make it through the night. My dad just called to let me know. When I said that we were on the way, he told me not to come because my mother doesn't want me there. I'm really having a hard time not hating her right now.

    Congrats, Paige!

I'm sorry about your grandmother, Amanda.  And your mother's behavior.

I'm thinking braces must make me more attractive.  I was chatted up by two guys today.  Strange :).

The dogs are going on raw for the next month, and I got all their food batched out yesterday.  Took longer than I was expecting.  I'm hoping the benefits will be worth it.

Not strange at all Amber...there is something in the air today...its pissy and flirty day.

Amanda...Papas on the Lake is an ice at Hwy. 105 and Honea Egypt.  They do have a pool where young adults and big kids like to hang out; and they have a man made waterfall where the little kids like to hang.  There's volleyball on the backside of the place.  Its a two story place, the upper being uncovered completely.  Its right on Lake Conroe, so boaters pull right up and get out for a bite to eat, etc.

Yes please send my DH on a retreat.  Ugh...its true the old saying.  Can't live with'em...can't shoot'em.

Very sorry to hear about your mother.  Can you just rebel and go anyway.  Please forgive me for saying this...but scew her.  I'd go anyway.  Thinking of you and your grandmother.  Stay strong.

What an week is has been at our house. An exciting one, to say the least! I'll start off my telling you about our (his) new purcahses. BF and I have been looking around to purchase a boat for the past few months. We purchased a beauuuutiful 2007 Sea Doo Wake 230 a few weeks back. Well, actually BF did, but whos counting? LOL. We knew that neither my Escape nor his Jimmy would be able to pull the beast. I mean it's HUGE! It seats 12 passengers and is 20 feet long. The towing capacity just wasn't there, so today BF traded in his 2003 GMC Jimmy for a brand new 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ. It's wonderful! It has more than enough towing capacity, fully loaded with leather, moon roof, satellite radio, etc. It even has third row seating, so definately more than enough room for the dogs. It's going to be wonderful for when we go camping or hit the cabin. We'll be able to comfortably hold the dogs, their crates and tons of gear, plus pull the boat. We live together, in case anyone is wondering why I am so excited about HIS purchases. Eek! I'm so excited for next weekend, so we can test them both out.

Hopefully the weather co-operates like it did today. It was gorgeous out today! The last few weeks have been MISERABLE, let me tell you. Just non stop rain and gloom. Blossom the cat was quite happy that she got to snoop around outside on her tie out for once. It was also nice letting the dogs run around without having to be greeted at the gate with two sopping wet, muddy and smelly puppers. Speaking of puppers, this week was also exciting in that I've been dog sitting my friend's Labrador mix. Kona loves her and has been wearing her out like crazy! She isn't used to a half acre yard like ours. My friend lives in a small townhouse with an equally as small yard, so it was a treat for her. Although, it has been a bit challenging with three dogs around. It has confirmed my idea that two in my limit, unless it's necessary or short term. Especially since Jeta does NOT like her. Actually, Jeta doesn't like any female dogs, but I was willing to do my friend a favour. I usually just keep them seperate and when they are together, Jeta tolerates her, but definately is not happy and will tell her off. Although, Gracie (Lab) isn't nearly as well trained and behaved as my two, so that could contribute to the craziness as well.

I'm tired.  Drove an hour, got there in time to do a smidge of warm-up, do our event, and we were done in a total of about 40 mins.  She got her third leg and 1st place again, so that title is done.  Not sure what will happen next, I don't like training by ourselves.  Although I did meet a nice lady who actually owns Dobes and lives practically around the corner from me.  We exchanged info and she even offered to give me a ride to the next trial, which was nice.  But that would just be for some more RAE legs.

Hope everyone had a decent Sunday. .

Woohoo! Way to go Paige & Gracie!

Um, please send my DH away also. I don't care where. Seriously. It must be male pissy day, ugh. He nit-picked EVERYTHING today from the way I fold laundry (fine, do it yourself...) to Apollo's fur everywhere (too bad!). He didn't want to fight, just nit-pick which is was more annoying than fighting, IMO.

Amanda, I hope your DH's nip is doing OK!

I did some fun training stuff with Apollo today, like building drive/playing tug, lots of "stay" and "OK! Get it!", lol, I have a crazy dog and love him more than anything (including the DH right now, hehe). I'm hitting the gym at 6am tomorrow- wish me luck, lol. Hopefully the creep won't be there that early. Sucks that I have to schedule my workouts around this guy, but I don't want to run into him and I don't know how to complain about him without sounding crazy or paranoid.

    Let's go Celtics!! Beat LA.....again!

Took the Elf and Aesop to Petco today. They had one of those photo sessions and a pretty reasonable deal. So, had both of their pics taken. Aesop had several good photos to choose from but since the deal we went with only allowed one pose (I love him dearly, but just do not need a $70 package of photos) I went with a smooshy face shot over his noble sitting one :p  Ginger can NOT stay, so we had a much easier time picking her picture :P In the end, we'll have good pics of both of them.  Sometimes I do silly things for my pets :)

Grabbed Aesop a stuffed hoof..it was stuffed with some sort of processed cheese concoction. Even though we have a freezer full of RMBs, sometimes my dog likes junk food, and I'm ok with thatStick out tongue  He had his turn, and now Grimm is working on the restSmile

Also, I'm apparently stuck getting my pic taken at work tomorrow. They're making a clinic website and we all have to have bios and pics. We could bring our own, but I do not have photos of myself. I do not agree with or want my pic on the site, so if they want one, they can take one of my looking crabby and hairy at work.  I was a smart*** on my bio though, which they apparently accepted. Said my special training was being a ninja, my favorite thing about work was anal glands, and my outside interests were poking manatees with sticks.

It's 8:30pm, I've been home for half an hour and I want to go to bed!!!!

I added a second can of coke to my cocktail from this morning and I have a third staring at me that I shall drink with dinner. As it is I am soooooooo bloody tired!!! And I look like I've been beaten bloody. I'm sunburnt, covered in bruises and scratches. Basically look like hell.

Apparently I was the only one without a pissy DH today! Lol. Granted I wasn't home but Alex and one of my roommates tackled the yards so the dogs have a back yard now! I'll have to get pictures. Lol.

    • Gold Top Dog

I don't have a pissy DH eitherStick out tongue But, he was a bit crabby when the xbox internet was being wonky last night, if that counts
