    Sunday Chat

Some of you "old, early rising" types are slacking! Stick out tongue  Where the heck is the chatter thread?  I know that ya'll have been up since the butt crack of dawn...

DH is whiney.  I am about to go shopping so that I don't have to listen to him!

Speaking of shopping, I am so disappointed I missed $2 tank day at Old Navy! I love their tanks for work because I can bring more than one and change once I get sweaty. And I missed it!!!

Wendy just got schooled in 'too rough' by a certain white dog. Am I a bad mom if I thought it was a little funny? She skittered back to her crate and Pirate just stood in the living room and looked victorious. LOL.

I've been up since 5:30am.. Needless to say I'm not impressed!  Plus I have till 8pm tonight so it's gonna be a long day.  Sandy's feeling better today. Finally went out side to pee. And she tackled Alex upon first sight.

OH! My neighbor is the BEST!! She found a freight harness at the thrift store for .50$ and bought it not knowing what it was. I get a call saying "Hey I bought this harness. Not sure what it's for but you want it?" So I went over, took a look, squealed a little and took it home. Lol. Fits Maze perfectly!! I gotta get pictures later but since I have a harness for Maze instead of Sandy, I'm gonna start Maze with the pulling while I wait for Sandy's. Squee!!!

Apparently our Old Navy ran out quickly -- I'm not a huge tank top person, since I like covering my arm flab and rarely does it get above 85 here, so I live.

LOL @ Pirate and Wendy.  Pirate, you are such a big brother!

I'm painting the kitchen today... and I'm not 100% thrilled with the color.  I narrowed it down to two, and DH steered me one way over another, so now I'm *convinced* that the other one would have been perfect.  LOL.  In reality, they were pretty close - mystical sea vs sage tint.  But, it's so hard to tell from that little square.  And even the samplers only cover like 2 sq feet so that wouldn't have helped.  It's not doG awful or anything, and it really really really needed paint over that stupid flat contractor off-white crap that came on the house and has been deteriorating over 7 years and 3 owners, so we're a step up.  We now have 6 different colors throughout the house.... the plain white, the kitchen, an accent wall by the fireplace, and three differently colored bathrooms.  I *love* color. Didn't necessarily need 6 colors, but that's life.

Oh man!  I didn't wake up until 8am this morning!  DH walked into the bedroom and asked me if I was going to sleep all day.  Indifferent

So, 1/2 hour or so later I'm having my tea checking the board, and he walks in in his Harley riding garb.  He says we are going to go riding today.  Oh, thanks for telling me the plan.  I've got to go to the grocery store...help Mom with her bath, I wanted to brush out the dogs and trim Bruder.  I just love it when he comes up with these great, fun plans but keeps me out of the loop.  IndifferentIndifferent

Am I a bad mom if I thought it was a little funny?

No...I've done that too.  Its just a life lesson that Miss Wendy must learn.  You go Pi!  Show that little girl who is boss.  Hopefully, they will get over it soon and she will learn the limits...and all will be well.

So, off to the grocer store I go...then for a ride...likely to the lake.  That seems to be our route when riding alone.  To Lake Conroe and to Papas Ice House to watch the people and the boats.  Beer

    Great Sunday everyone!

PS Meg...The amount of balls that I have posess greatly outweighs the amount of balls that DH carries around.  Big Smile

ugh, that milkshake last night is not sitting well.  I only had about a 1/5 of a cup (very little, it was just so rich) and my stomach is still mad at me.  I've joked that I should wear Depends in the trial ring because I get nervous and *think* I have to pee a lot, but today I might have a legit reason!!! (lol)

Hope everyone has a good day today - good vibes to those who need them.

Um..who are you calling old? Wink

For the record, I was woken up by a snarling barking dog. Someone was knocking on my front door. I have to admit I was snarling as well. But that went away after I got the poor frightened man to come back to the porch. Turns out he is a childhood friend of my landlord and wanted/needed to get in touch with him and had lost or could not find his number, the mans wife had died about 2 hours earlier. Since I did not know him I would not give him the number but I called my landlord for him, at 6:15am and had to leave a message.

Now some of you might wonder why I actually went out and talked to this man. There were 3 reasons. 1) he hit the sidewalk within 10 seconds of me opening the door and getting a look at Kord....2) or me Wink 3) he was so obviously in distress. His parting sentence was, thank you ma'am and that is a really big police dog.

I then went and made coffee, got dressed and filled a 1 gallon jug with ice water and headed to the garden. Suppose to be a heat index of 105 today. Four hours later I am back, tired, hungry and ready for a nap.

And watch the crack of Dawn jokes!

Bugsy is going to disown me if I don't get him out for a walk/run soon. Due to the arrival of summer it has too be super early, was going to take him this morning then a friend walked over with Bugsy's friend Izzy and they played for ages.  He is tired but still wanting a walk - hmm sorry bud heat index of 97* already.

Paige & Gracie WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Gracie B agrees why have a toy when there is a live cat around - no brainer!

Heather I wound up getting the guy that was visiting us a chuck it that came with four different balls (tennis, whistling, glow in the dark, and recycled rubber) and a two pack of the Ultras. I'm looking forward to hearing about how is dog likes them.

I have tons of cleaning to do, gardening, some sort of exercise and the biggie is get my act together again organizing.  The last week has been fun but lordy I have lost track to what I am supposed to be doing.

    Have a good one all

Wahooo!  Today is laundry day and I was looking for a pair of shorts that I could put on while washing the OTHERS.  Found a couple that fit but I'm not crazy about and spied the denim shorts that were too small.  They fit now!  Couldn't even get them on before we moved into this thing, but now they fit!  Wahooooo!

Hot and humid yet again.  Somewhat cloudy tho, so maybe we'll get some cooling off rain today.

Thunder was allowed back in the RV yesterday.  DH is feeling well enough, and Sheba gave him holy heck, but there have been no incidents and not even any growling.  Phew!

Yipppeeee....time for the wonderful world of the laundramat.  Blech.

Edited to add:  Amanda, this old broad was up at 5:30.  However, it seems that when I start threads someone ELSE does at the same time, so I typically stay away from starting chat.  And, by the way, you might be rather grouchy if your nipple were surgically reattached.  Buy your DH something nice while you're out....maybe a Madonna style metal bra?

Well, everyone here but me is napping.  lol   I've done the grocery shopping and other than a few little chores, I don't have much to do.  Lets see, fertilize my flowers and 'maters and basil plants.  Give Rex a bath.  Belle and Twister got bathed yesterday but by the time I got to Rex, I was too hot.  Trim the yard.  Wash the dog beds and towels. Change the sheets.  Make some marinara sauce.  Ok, why does this sound like a lot of chores when I write it down?  lol

1 cup of tea + 1 cup of coffee+ 1 can of coke = A really good caffeine rush. Today should be interesting!!   Then again I've been up since 6:30am and needed the kick..  No idea why I woke up then.. Just did and couldn't get back to sleep.

Sandy's doing soo much better today. She's eating on her own and playing tug of war with Maze. I made a post in Health so I don't have to explain it all here. Lol.

So now I'm just waiting for the phone call so I can get Maze ready for agility. Weeee!!!

I'll say!  That's a caffeine cocktail.  You should be good to go for a while.  Wink

Kitty, your neighbor IS the best.  How cool is that?  Love it when things like this happen.

Ha Nicole!  Color is a good thing...we are long overdue for a painting...inside and out.  *sigh*

"Watch the crack of Dawn jokes!"  Just that alone is funny enough...ROFL.  Poor guy Dawn...that sounds like it was innocent enough.  You felt it was fine to talk to him with his body language...Good job Kord for just being yourself...you big ole police dog you.

Jackie, that does sound a lot like chores.  Can you come to my house after your done with your stuff.  I'll have a nice frosty concoction of some sort awaiting you.  Pleeease.  Big Smile

This has turned out to be Grouchy Sunday around here.  I am rushed to get out of the house today to finish chores so we can go riding.  I get home after grocery shopping and I say "just as soon as I we get all these groceries in and put up, I'll go change and off we go."  Saying all this not able to see DH, but I can tell he is in hearing distance sitting on the couch.  He doesn't get up to help with the groceries.  But, when he finally does get up (after I've got it all in the house) I see he has changed out of his riding clothes and into pool garb.  WTH!  So, I try to talk to  him asking him what he is upset about and I get the clammed up response.  MEN!  He is pissy about something, and the only thing I can come up with is Mom is home now.  Its probably that he really enjoyed the last two weeks; and I can't say I blame him or disagree with him.

But the end result, is that now its Grouchy Sunday around here.  Bleh!  I need an attitude adjustment.  Is it beer-thirty yet?  Why yes it is...exactly.

And I'm considering adding an energy drink to the mix. WEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

Maze was struting around in it last night. I'm gonna get some rope today and introduce her to weight pulling.

Barb, I feel your pain.  When my Mom and then again when Charles' Dad was with us, it was very hard to keep the resentment from surfacing sometimes.  But when someone doesn't seem to get that pouting doesn't change anything other than put the other person in a bad mood too. bleh.  Come over and we'll make some mojitos and I'll send Charles to your house and he can tell your DH what a witch I am for not wanting to 'cook' this morning.  I kid you not, he said to me "I mowed the lawn yesterday and that didn't cause a problem".   All I could do was laugh, weakly. Men, do they live in the same world we do?

The house smells really, really good. :)  Roasting cherry tomatoes, onions, garlic and sweet peppers for my sauce.

Karen, I'm glad your friend's dog is enjoying his Chuck It!  Later today when it's cooled off some, I'm going to see if I can master my skills enough to get the ball to land in Harry's kiddie pool.  That's one of his favorite games.  Even when I miss and overshoot the pool, he'll make a detour through it on his way bringing me the ball back, lol.

I fell asleep outside a little while ago (oops).  I was laying out to try and get some color, but I didn't mean to fall asleep!  Thankfully it was only for 20 minutes, so hopefully I won't be burnt.  We'll find out in a couple hours, I guess...

The dogs must still be tired from their fun day yesterday.  They've been napping all day.  Yes
