WooHoo for your DH, Karen and for you, of course!! :))
It's very humid here too and heating up fast but that's not really news. lol Around here, it's called Summer. I took the dogs to the ballpark but all three fields were in use, so we walked along the little creek in the park. It was fun and the dogs found many wonderful things to smell. :) Belle found a nice mud hole to flop in so she was especially happy.
Charles stayed home. Got home to discover him mowing the yard.
Gee, maybe you might want to follow doctor's orders. Nah, he says, it's all good. Sigh. He goes for a check up tomorrow with the gastro surgeon. Both his incisions look good and his pain is very slight and requires no pain killers. He's been walking on the treadmill every day. Just a mile and at a slow speed. The doc said walking was fine but too limit any streuous activity, like mowing the lawn. I asked him why he didn't wait for me to get home and do it, as agreed. He said he didn't want the neighbors to see me mowing the lawn. Oy. Testosterone is the leading killer of men, according to Dr. G, Medical Examiner. lol I certainly agree with her. I'm not really worried that he hurt himself mowing the lawn but I wish he would just take it easy a few more days till the doc sees him.
I picked two quarts, at least, of cherry tomatoes. That's about the yield every two days. They aren't as sweet as the tomatoes I planted last year. This year's is a new strain from Texas A & M and they're supposed to produce longer and have less problems with insects, heat, etc. I made some marinara sauce the other day and will be making some more this weekend. IMO, you can never have enough marinara sauce. :)
Have a good day everyone and good vibes to everyone. I am going to finish the laundry and give the house a lick and a promise and then take a nap. I'm in need of a very lazy day with no goal beyond relaxation. :)
