Latest update:

I had one cuddle yesterday but her breathing went up so much when they moved her they didn't want to do it again in a hurry. Gave her a feed half an hour ago so I held her then. They say they will take the line out of her tummy button and move her into a normal cot this afternoon. She can leave the neo natal unit once shes got rid of the iv... That will probably be tomorrow if the blood results show no infection and if she copes ok with feeds today, without her breathing being too badly affected. otherwise i guess she has to keep the iv until the bug is cleared or until they don't need it to give her fluids anymore. Best case scenario is i get her back with me tomorrow but i dare not get my hopes up again.

GREAT NEWS! From Chuffy:

Update, she's off the drip, feeding well and has been breathing normal air with no extra oxygen for 24hrs so they can stop monitoring... which means the wires are coming off and she's coming back to my ward to demand feed overnight. She will need to go back in the morning for review and official discharge if she is well enough. She'll be here in a few minutes :-)

Looks like the famous 2x4 did its job tonight! Smile

Just got in, heading out in a minute again, but I had to stop in and do a check. So glad to hear everything is going good and that our newest little iDog Sweetpea is holding her own and coming back to her mum. Continued good vibes to you and her Chuffy. Can't wait for pics. Wink

I didn't have time to post earlier and this has been on my mind all night. I am so glad to hear the latest update! So glad you will be with baby Louisa tonight.
